The best way to describe this property is quaint. It is very basic, but very comfortable. If you are looking for a convenient place to spend a night or two, this is it. If you stay out in a cabin, trailer or yurt, you get the Alaska experience of an outhouse, although there are warm, clean bathrooms and shower facilities in the main lodge. On my list for places to stay in Seward.

Nauti Otter is not your "run of the mill" place to stay. It's like a combination of glamping airbnb! This is my second time staying here, and I so appreciate the well stocked and comfortable yurts I've stayed in! The Raven's Roost yurt was exceptional with lights, heat, and cozy decorations. You can make your own waffles in the morning, and everything is clean and in the middle of a beautiful forest. Also, if you are social you can sit and chat by the camp fire in the evenings! Love the vibes!

This hostel/ Inn was insanely cute, spotlessly clean, and had the sweetest most attentive host and staff! They have an easy to use pancake/waffle station with unlimited coffee every morning and a gorgeous kitchen to use at your discretion. Will absolutely go back and recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.

Nice quiet spot to spend the night. Rooms only have a bed and minium space. But, the main building has all the comforts of home. Refrigerator, restroons, fireplace, books, guitar piano. Very comfortable. Also outdoor firepit. Serve yourself arrangment. An envelope with my name was posted on the door. Key was in the door ready for me. Includes a patking spot infront of your cabin. 3 miles from Seward.

We have never stayed in yurts previously and truly enjoyed the experience. Bed was very comfortable, yurt was airy and spacious with anything we might need. Showers and bathrooms were clean and available. The group kitchen with storage worked perfectly. We would love to stay here again.

Rented the king crab yurt. 1st time ever staying in a yurt and we had an awesome time. Very clean bathrooms/showers. Rained the whole time so we couldnt have a bon fire but we played cards in the yurt and had a blast. Thank you so much for the fun experience.

Darling quiet yurts in the forest with everything you need, heaters in yurts, outdoor sinks, showers with plenty of space, hairdryers, a huge kitchen with fridges, grills, tables to chill and cook - great for cyclists, travelers and people who want different experience.

Nauti Otter was a quaint place. Accommodations were good. I’m guessing not for everyone. Good place to rest your head after a long day hiking, kayaking, fishing. Showers are unconventional you put your name on a time. Make your own waffles and pancakes were great. Also had oatmeal. Bring your own food to cook if you want. We would stay again.

The Nauti Otter Yurt Village is awesome. We loved it. Fully stocked pavilion is great. EVERYTHING you need is right there. Such a great idea. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back!

We enjoyed the time we spent here. We stayed in 3 different locations on the property and enjoyed each one for different reasons. We especially enjoyed the yurt village. Everything was nice and clean, the staff was friendly, and it was such a fun experience.

This was hands down our best stay in all of our trip to Alaska. Beautiful property and amazing host. Extremely cozy and clean! We stayed in the bald Eagle Yurt, I would recommend this to anyone visiting Seward.

There is not clear bedroom instructions and details about the hostel staying. There was no where on the website stating that the hostel rooms are shared with men and women. Me and my friend who are two young girls traveling alone got separated and had to stay in separate rooms. And my friend ended up being the only girl in a room full of adult men and we had to leave a day earlier. The manger didn’t give us any other options and only wanted our money and didn’t give a proper refund. The cabins we horribly small and were very dusty and dirty and felt slightly unsafe. Do not recommend for solo travel or girl travel.

We stayed in one of the vintage camper trailers. The mattress I slept is due for retirement. And more hooks for hanging towels, clothes, and other stuff would enhance this unique and fun experience. We enjoy the common areas, good coffee, and visiting with other guests!

During the reservation process, we were under the impression we would be getting a private yurt. Instead, we had the room immediately adjacent to the kitchen inside the house with very very very thin walls. The pillows were horridly deflated and flat. That said, the room was clean, the mattress firm, and the full house of guests were quiet by 11 pm.

We only stayed one night but we enjoyed our stay. The little cabin we booked was very tiny but cozy and the beds were very comfy. I would definitely recommend staying at the Nautti Otter

They greet you with an air of disdain, making sure you know you’re lucky they allowed you to book a room. And the hospitality doesn\'t end there! They generously share their germs, coughing and sneezing with wild abandon. I inquired about their health and two staffers proudly admite to being sick with a cold or a flu. One of them saying “we are all sick here” (Adrianne, I think?) Despite numerous polite requests to wear masks or, heaven forbid, take a sick day, they heroically refused rolling their eyes. After all, what better souvenir could there be than a flu on your flight home? As a cherry on top, you have to clean the bathrooms after you shower. Nothing says "vacation" like scrubbing tiles and wiping down surfaces while trying not to slip on the still-wet floor. Why would the very ill staff do anything when YOU can play housekeeper? And don’t forget your earplugs, the $200/night yurts are next to a noisy highway. Bring your hand sanitizer, medical kit, cleaning supplies and you should be good to go!

The creativity that went into each of those unique cabins was so fun to see. Also, the mattresses and pillow in the Humpback Cabin were SO COMFY! I didn't sign up for the indoor shower but the outside one was perfect for me. Well done!

Wonderful Experience! Clean cozy sleeping areas and beautiful kitchen. Fun theme of Pirates in the Hostel. Staff super helpful and friendly, and such a great way to meet people from all over the world wanting to visit Alaska. Close and convenient to town and the glacier hike and even church on Sunday. Great Experience, Will return soon!

We didn’t know that there are 2 locations so we stopped in to check in at the main office and was greeted by an unfriendly staff. We checked in and came back and were told to park off the street cuz the parking lot is full. Greeted by a much friendlier staff at the 2nd location but the first interaction with the first one ruined our stay.

I stayed in a lovely cottage with a bedroom, small living room, bathroom, kitchen, and patio. The cottage is different from the yurts. Convenient for hiking the Harding Icefield.

The yurts were very cozy, cute, comfortable and nicely decorated. The area around the yurts was magical at night with white lights in the branches of the forest trees that light your way along the path to the bathrooms, or open-air kitchen. The Nauti Otter Inn is in a secluded, beautiful & forested neighborhood with nice homes on large lots that is tucked away from road noise. What a find close to Seward, Alaska.

This place is a dream. Found wild strawberries and raspberries on the property, kitchen is fully stocked and staff is super friendly and helpful. They also had a gas grill for use, we were able to cook our food. Easy 10-15 min drive up Seward harbor.,

We stayed in the Sourdough cabin. I expected it to be rustic, but this appeared to just be a small, cheap, graffiti-filled shed transformed into a bedroom. Watch your head! Way over priced for what you receive. I usually don’t write reviews, but this time it was warranted. Additionally, there are tight timeframes for using one of the bathrooms. It requires preplanning and “signing up” to take a short shower in the morning. Not ideal. On the positive-side: - The staff was very nice. - You can make waffles in the morning.

This place was exactly as advertised. It was a neat hostel environment with clean options for showers and baths and a full kitchen for coffee, breakfast and cooking. It was a family atmosphere with a great on site host. Our cabin was tiny but all we needed with lots of character. We would stay again.
