Had a major snow storm. Staff made no effort to clear the path to the front doors. Had to slog through 3" of slush for two days after the storm was over

Overall good experience. Waited quite a bit for a front desk person to show up a couple of times but when they did they were very good customer service. The parking situation that I paid for was a bit confusing but they made up for it by letting me park in front at the loading zone. My truck is a bit too high to fit in the parking ramp.

The all the staff were pleasant. The property was clean and easy to find and park. It is within easy walking to the riverfront and a large variety of shops and restaurants.

The hotel is clean and the staff were helpful. Unfortunately it is located right next to a parking garage which generates noise all night. You can hear what is happening in the rooms around you. The mattress is cheap. The parking is insecure and there are homeless all over the place in LaCrosse.

Beautiful, clean hotel in historic business district. Will stay here again. Last minute booking and I selected the right hotel! Parking onsite too.

Great location. Difficult parking if you want to park in the hotel parking lot. Loved the walking distance to everything downtown.

Parking is not guaranteed and there is not enough of it for the size of the property. The breakfast bar wasn’t properly staffed and food ran out and dishes piled up. Housekeeping put dirty towels and bedding in the hallway and never picked them up. (They were there the entire weekend). The property wasn’t up to usual Hilton standards.

Didn’t feel like the room was fully cleaned/turned over. No products in the empty trays in the bathroom. (No soap to wash hands after using the toilet). Cushions were left off the sofa.

Breakfast was pretty good but our room location was horrible…right by the lobby. The cleaning staff left our door open (on the main floor by the lobby) after half-cleaning it. Also, when we checked in, there were leftovers that were not removed from the fridge. The hotel said they would see what they could do to make up for this bit did nothing.

The people at the front desk are so welcoming and efficient. I have now stayed at this property at least 6 separate times and some of those stays for for 5 nights. Your front desk stay is consistently helpful and friendly. The property is always extremely clean & always feels fresh. The breakfast for a hotel at this reasonable room rate is outstanding. Much to love.

The hotel was spotless, the layout of our room was very nice, and this property is in a great location if you want to enjoy downtown LaCrosse for a couple of days. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great location and clean room and property

This day was great. My room was not 100% clean as there were some hairs on the floor in the bathroom and the plate from the microwave was soaking in the sink when I got there. Otherwise everything else was good.

Our room was very clean, comfortable, quiet and location was great…everything within walking range!

We had a couch that we could sit on and watch a movie very comfortably. The shower in the bathroom was also comfortable and water pressure was great. I am thoroughly pleased with my stay here!

Uncomfortable - the mattress was like a sinkhole. Could not even sleep in the bed.

a pleasant and spacious suite for downtown La Crosse

The area was quite noisy. The only thing I did not like about this hotel room was the comfort of the mattress. It was too hard and not very comfortable. Everything else was great.

Really, that's almost all that matters in a hotel stay: "Can I sleep comfortably?" The answer with H2S is yes. The bonus for traveling families is the fridge and freezer for keeping snacks/etc. and getting those ice packs "recharged".

The room was big and the refrigerator was full size.

Front desk was great!

No one at front desk when checking in. Waited about 15 minutes.

Violet at front desk went above/beyond. At last minute, I had family come to to town and needed an extra room and pack n play for my infant daughter. Not only did she work quickly over the phone to accommodate, she actually went up and set up the pack n play, brought extra blankets and pillows for the pull out and helped get them in to the from late at night upon arrival to make it a great experience. She was fantastic and when I stay in lacrosse, I’ll only be staying at Home 2. She’s a fantastic asset in a current climate where service is sub par and good, hard working people are hard to find!

If you want to eat the same breakfast every morning (an egg patty and sausage patty with bread) and be asked to moved rooms on a Saturday morning; this is the place to stay. I made a reservation for 2 weeks for $156/night (the per diem here is $109). as soon as I got here my company required me to stay another 2 weeks. So I made the reservation online for additional 2 weeks this time for $199/night, the staff said they couldn't just extend the first one. After doing so, a few days before my first reservation expired I approached the front desk and asked them if I could stay in the same room, Maggie (one of the managers) said it was ok and she confirmed via text app from the hotel. The Saturday morning that my first reservation expired I received a message from the lobby (Addie) asking me to move rooms, or pay additional $$$ to stay in the current room. I explained to her that Maggie said I could stay in my current room. Addie said said she couldn't do that, and she apologized and promised me to have better communication with her staff, but I still had to move. It took me 4 trips to get everything out of my room since it was a extended stay, I had purchased food and water and other consumables... it was very frustrating to have to do that on a Saturday morning before 11AM... But it was the greatest thing ever... I moved to the Fairfield hotel across the street, for $129/night and their breakfast looked amazing.

The person who was to help my husband was not friendly. She was rude abd disrespectful.

Nice hotel next to the river and walking distance to downtown area

Was close to the Mississippi River walkway, restaurants, parks, and very safe area to walk around.

Everything we wanted to see and visit was within a couple of blocks walking. We walked and felt very safe.

It’s a nice hotel if you’re visiting downtown, especially for an event at the Lacrosse center.

Great location in downtown LaCrosse just a 5 minute walk to great dining, the Pearl Ice Cream shop, and the river walk. We would definitely stay again.

Friendly staff and nice room. But the breakfast that was in the past excellent was disappointing this visit. Prepared breakfast sandwiches tasted stale and it was difficult to get breakfast items like omelets out of their container. Limited breakfast choices compared to previous visits and in comparison to other hotels. Unfortunately, we will be staying at a different hotel at our next visit.

The room was very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was outstanding for a hotel Breakfast. Would and will definitely recommend this as a number 1 place to stay in La crosse, Wisconsin.

Loved everything about this stay except the breakfast. The options were plentiful but all the items that were supposed to be hot were warm/cold with no option to heat up items via a microwave.

The property and staff were great! Rooms were very clean, pleasant and relaxing to be in. I will stay here again. Staff was great. But there was only one kitchen person on staff and poor lady had a hard time keeping up with the demand of everything being full. Felt sorry for her. Therefore some of the breakfast items were cold. But that’s so understandable with the amount of work she had and was trying to do. She was very pleasant at every request

The breakfast was not very good. Nothing was hot. The staff person didn’t seem like he wanted to be there. Seemed a little rude all in all disappointed because the second morning we did not go down for breakfast because the experience wasn’t very good and we paid a lot of money to stay there.

I have stayed at this property several times. I like the option of picking a 1 bedroom suite vice a studio. The rooms are always clean with a full size fridge for longer stays and TVs in bedroom and living area. Another benefits is the 2 openings to the bathroom so when I get up early, I don't have to go into the bedroom and wake the wife. The breakfast is good with a choice of omelets or bagel sandwiches with all the other trimmings like oatmeal, pastries, cereals, and waffles. Since the hotel is in the downtown, it is close to the civic center, many restaurants and bars, plus close to the river park where there are often events, such as the Rotary Lights we wanted to experience again. Definitely recommend this hotel.
