The hotel is only two blocks from the La Crosse Center, walkable to many stores and restaurants downtown. It is on the corner of two very busy streets so there is quite a bit of city/road noise. The interior is almost done being completely remodeled which meant very strong smells from the new carpet in the hallways. In the room, the smell wasn’t as strong. The room was clean, good breakfast, and we had a great check in experience and any staff we talked to were very welcoming and nice. Definitely will return when back in the area.

I stayed here on the 4th of July so figured the fireworks noise would be loud. It was. Room was spacious (thought they oversold king rooms so I was put in a double). The ice bucket hadn't been emptied from the previous users which wasn't great but otherwise it was clean and cozy. Surprisingly big parking lot for being downtown. Would stay again.

I liked everything except the street noise. Room was clean and modern, free breakfast was good, staff was friendly, fitness room and free parking were included. The only thing that bothered me was what sounded like car races on the main road well into the night. Maybe because it was Saturday, maybe because I don’t live in an urban area? But, that isn’t something controlled by the hotel. Otherwise, the area seemed nice, safe and walkable.

The hotel was in a great location—an easy walk to Riverside Park, the Dahl Auto Museum, and the Children’s Museum. There were also lots of good places to eat nearby. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast was good, and the pool was never busy when we used it. Overall, we had a great stay. Thank you!

Definitely will be back. Stayed for one night. King bed. Clean. Convenient. Easy free parking. Fast WiFi. Nice new clean showers and rooms. So clean and new and fresh. The ONLY issue was I could hear the people above me pounding around like elephants. Didn’t sleep the best because of this. But didn’t care enough to ask for a room change.

There was work being done and all the equipment and materials were left in lobby area near breakfast and other gathering space- it should have been stored elsewhere , was there entire stay, and an elevator wasn’t working properly

The room was nice except the shower had mold in the corners and the shower head dripped. For a newly renovated room and hotel, that was the only disappointment. The location was convenient to downtown LaCrosse and the riverfront!

I’ve traveled to La Crosse for over twenty years and have stay at several hotels there. This was my first stay at the Fairfield Inn. The location is very convenient for tourists since it’s located downtown. The lobby is wide and very welcoming. I interacted with several staff, including the cleaning crew and everyone was friendly and attentive. We reserved a standard room with one queen size bed. The room was spacious enough for work desk, a couch, and a chair. The sleeping area and bathroom were spotless. And most importantly, the bathroom was stocked with premium toilet paper, not the cheap stuff 😊. Our reservation included a breakfast with a very large assortment of food options. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We had a great stay at Fairfield Inn and Suites! The room was clean and nice, the staff was friendly. I will say that our bathroom fan did not work and that was frustrating at times, because of the steam after showers and I personally like to have the sound of the vent as noise.

It’s a nice hotel. The breakfast is lacking. The staff is very friendly. The hotel looks newly remodeled. It’s very loud around the hotel. You can hear the outside traffic even on the 4th floor.

Staff was nice. Big complaint is this place has paper thin walls you will hear your neighbors talk and every door that they throw the extra protection latch our slams and will be loud if you sleep later the 7am. Good luck.

Hotel was clean and in great condition. My only complaint is in regards to the climate control for the room. The temperature was very warm and there wasn’t an option to turn down the thermostat and cool off the room since it’s cold outside. This made for difficult sleeping conditions with the room being anywhere from 75 to 80°.

First and last time staying NO security cameras outside but all other businesses and hotels in that area have cameras but Fairfield. My husband car was broke into and when we asked about cameras they were smiling saying how sorry they are nothing they can do

The hotel staff contacted us just hours after our stay. Unbeknown to us, we had left a backpack with an iPad in it. We appreciated their diligence to bring it to our attention and were able to retrieve it that day.

Disappointing requested adjoining rooms when arrived rooms were not ready were told we could not have adjoining rooms but would be next door to each other when we came back to check in our rooms were at opposite ends of the hall when we came to spend time with family, very very disappointing!!!!!!

We were very impressed by this property. Very clean, very spacious (in both the room & the lobby/shared space). Staff was uber friendly! I came down to the lobby in the evening to do some stitching & have a glass of wine while my husband watched football in the room, & the staff very willingly offered to turn on the lights in the breakfast area for me to stitch in. Location wonderful -- lots of restaurants in walking area, & property just off main road.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Fairfield Inn in La Crosse! The hotel is in a great location in the downtown area, so it is in walking distance to the river walk, stores, and restaurants. The breakfast was wonderful and fully supplied. Really, the only recommendation we have for this hotel is that you install more towel racks in the rooms' bathrooms. We don't mind reusing our towels one time, but the knobs to hang used towels on don't allow the towels to dry very well, and who wants to reuse a damp towel? No one! Other than that, we had a great stay!

I really liked this hotel. It was reasonably priced; the room was nice; the bed was comfortable; the breakfast was fantastic. It’s located conveniently close to dining and shops. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was really nice, but the bed and pillows could have been softer. I enjoyed the breakfast, but it seemed really strange they didn't have any potatoes to go with the eggs and meat. And rather than having bacon and breakfast sausage, they served canadian bacon and turkey sausage. Ain't nobody asking for that substitution.
