Great hotel! Great staff! Fitness room was clean & decently equipped! The area around hotel was clean and easy to walk or uber around. Only complaint was the bathroom door is a slider & u can hear everything & see through the big crack.

Really enjoyed the property especially the rooftop and the gym.

Hotel was amazing ! Staff was friendly and welcoming . The location was great since we were attending a Giants game . The rooftop bar was also amazing . My only issue is $90 for valet parking

The bar at the top is very nice. The room was ok. Nothing that great for the price. Parking is $90 which is crazy! So add on $100 to the room rate. Of course being across from the stadium was the best part!! Kudos to the staff. Everyone was great to work with.

A very nice place to stay if you are doing to any event at Oracle Park, with an enjoyable rooftop lounge. Hotels.com members beware: this property does NOT receive room upgrades upon request, as stated in the Hotels.com app (although the app says, “upon availability,” we were assured any 3rd party booking services are NOT entitled to upgrades of any sort, regardless of VIP or Platinum status). The rooms are clean, and most everyone was extremely professional and helpful. Of all the wonderful staff members we encountered, only the first person we experienced was less-than-receptive and friendly. Also, if you have a bottle of wine in your package, make sure to ask. The staff member we encountered first, would not have offered unless prompted. The housekeeping staff is exceptional, and much appreciated. Overall, we would return for any Oracle events in the future.

The hotel itself was cute. Staff were friendly. Had potential to be great but both the evening and morning of our stay the upstairs roof top restaurant was closed for private events. I picked this hotel specifically for the roof top but never got to see it or enjoy it. I’d like to suggest your hotel lets people know that amenity isn’t available before they book. I also didn’t receive the VIP bottle of wine I was supposed to receive. Like I said, there’s potential for it be great…. I just don’t have that experience unfortunately

Great hotel, but rooms are kind of small. Don't expect a lot of closet space. You have to pay for valet parking, and it's quite expensive. I believe it was $75/night for me.

i arrived at the hotel an hour in a half before check-in , the front desk accommodated me to check in early since room was ready. room was clean , staff was friendly and professional. had a great time at this hotel.

Room was very clean, everyone was very friendly, kind and courteous.

My daughter, husband and I stayed here on a Sat. My niece had her graduation party at Momos next door. Great location. When I booked the room it said it had a view, the view was of a the brick parking garage next door. The guy at the front desk said when we got back from the party, there was a girl at the front desk and she advised there are no rooms with views. Or room had a swivel chair that was ripped and stained. There was stains on the carpet. It had a weird odor, and we were pretty bummed.

Great service. Carpet in room very dirty with pink and brown stains. Really needs to be replaced urgently. Bathrooms amazing , great beds. Very welcoming staff.

the location is convenient, but overall there is nothing special about this hotel. Front desk service was not very friendly or helpful or professional. Room was basic and not well kept. Carpet was disgusting.

Disappointing stay. The room had stains on the carpet and ceiling, hair in the sheets, and the A/C didn’t work — made for an uncomfortable experience. Expected much better for the price. I work hard and this wasn’t money, well spent.

We really enjoyed our stay this weekend. Check in was quick, as expected, and staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were beautiful, clean and we really enjoyed the roof top lounge. We had my 10 year old nephew and it was nice to have a family friendly area that was also upscale and a beautiful views of the city.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Via! We were in town for a Saturday late afternoon Giant's game and we were able to drop our luggage off at the hotel early then explore the area - including a walk to the Salesforce Rooftop Garden (5-ish acres) where we heard live music and enjoyed walked the perimeter of the park. Then a short walk back to grab our game stuff and head literally across the street to the ballpark! Our room had a fantastic city view (12th floor) and the Rooftop Bar/Restaurant was a great place to hang after the game! We will definitely stay there again!

Everything was good. It was just so hot! The ac didn’t work at all. Also I had bring me a fan. That still didn’t help.

This was not what I expected. The "South Beach" rooms are tiny and claustrophobic...even the king room. Windows face parking garage and alley. Dump trucks pick heavy bins early in the morning, cars are going in and out of the garage, and the loud fan in the bathroom stays on all night because the windows don't open. DO NOT PAY $350 LIKE DID TO STAY IN THIS ROOM. Also, the lobby is super lame and the hotel doesn't have any personality whatsoever. No art, no music. The main draw of the property is the rooftop bar...which was closed for a wedding and no one told me prior to my arrival. Without the rooftop, you are stuck using Bar Via which may or may not be open. I will never stay here again. Location is great so find another place near there but not Hotel Via.

Super clean, great size room was an awesome view and super comfy bed!

It was a great location if you’re attending the Oracle Park. The room had a barn door for the bathroom, very awkward to share with a friend, when closed the door had a large gap.

This is not the luxe SF experience you get near Union Square, but if you are coming here for a quick stay in The City for a SF Giants game, it is perfectly located- directly across the street, It’s average and more a three-star hotel, definitely not four. They have a rooftop bar, and do not have soundproof windows, so it’s very loud at night. They have “room service” until 11:00 am. We got a burnt bagel and a cold waffle with no syrup delivered. The elevators are accessible to anyone, ie you don’t need a room key to operate it, which felt unsafe for that area.

The room was spacious.

The Via is very modern and clean, but it really likes places to put clothing and other items. There was one very small closet and one nightstand with one drawer, and that was it. Other than that, it is certainly convenient if you’re planning to go to Oracle Park or Chase Center,.

My family and I had issues with another property that we booked. I made reservations for 4 bedrooms with Hotel Via that same day and we were accommodated right away. Front desk staff were outstanding. Property was spotless. Amazing and modern rooms. They gave us free bottles of wine. We were able to leave our luggages in property on check out day while we roamed around the city. AT&T park across the street. Walking distance to Chase Center which was such a plus because we watched a Warriors game and was able to walk to and from hotel. Didn’t have to deal with car traffic. Staff were just super helpful and accommodating. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels around the world but this is by far my favorite experience. Thank you so much for making our stay so memorable!!

They have a policy that they stop delivery drivers and you have to meet in lobby. That’s so out of touch and nonsensical. They don’t stop anyone else though and let anyone pass through unless they look like a delivery driver. Just an absolute inconvenience for guests. You can’t trust a hotel that puts nonsensical inconveniences on their guests

Front desk safe was beyond rude when checking in. If I could of I would of went to a different hotel if was not paid for in advance.

The hotel, room, and front desk staff were nice. They let us have a late check out at 1 PM on the day we left. The biggest issue is that literally every day, housekeeping knocked on our door multiple times when we were sleeping, including the day with the late checkout. There is no physical do not disturb sign, but there was a button next to the door to indicate that; somehow it did not prevent people from knocking on our door.

Beautiful Boutique Hotel across from Oracle Park where we saw My Chemical Romance. Best hotel in the city in the area.

Great hotel & SOMA location, and have had generally positive experiences. However don’t leave the property without reviewing final charges & be alert. On my most recent trip I charged both valet parking & dinner to my room. I told the front desk staff (twice) I needed a receipt for expenses & they assured me it would be emailed. Days later - nothing. I tried calling the hotel several days in a row and the call didn’t go through (?!?! - i triple checked number too). I emailed the hotel. I submitted a form from their website. Zero response. I called the same number the following week, it worked, and the manager realized I’d been double charged for parking. She reversed the charge and apologized, explaining that they didn’t have my email as this was booked via Expedia. Things happen, but it left a bad taste.

We enjoyed the location. The ball park is across the street and lots of walkable restaurants and coffee shops.

Excellent location

Staff were quick to check us in and thankfully they had a room ready when we arrived because we were exhausted from travel. I don't think you could get any more convenient from the light rail and Oracle Park right across the street. Several places to eat super close or short trip on the train/light rail.

Hotel Via is always a great place to stay. It’s very convenient to stay there if you are going to Oracle Park or the Chase Center for an event.

We chose the hotel for its proximity to the Chase Center. It was a lovely hotel with a great view, clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. The after hours sandwich we bought from the downstairs convenience counter had fresh avocado and was delicious.

great location near the ballpark. Limited dining nearby. Breakfast not available. Staff could not suggest anything within 1 mile. There is a Starbucks 1.5 blocks away but they had no idea. I had to change my checkout I called, was put on hold the hung up on 3 times.

So, I reviewed the commentary from other patrons. Most, if not all of them, were about experiences at the standard rooms. I booked a corner suite overlooking King street. It is the picture you see on the web site, hence, my comments are about that. The room includes a small desk, fortunately with a chair, and no other table where any food can be consumed. There is no restaurant so you have to order room svc for breakfast. One of you has to stand to eat until the other person is done with their sitting breakfast. They forgot one of the items ordered, then had to go back to retrieve a spoon which was also forgotten on the tray. The electronic pad included in the room, which is supposed to act as the digital assistant that turns on and off the room lights and from which you can order room service - did not work. Valet parking, the only parking available, is $90/night on Giants home games, otherwise $75. There are no drawers for clothing, just shelves. The front desk staff do not really know the city and have to refer to Google to answer any questions, something I could do by myself. It would have been useful if they were a little more knowledgeable. The room is nice, bathroom is elegant, the view is great, the rooftop bar is fun, but the remainder experience is forgettable. I won't stay there again.

Rooftop bar experience both nights was awful!! Food, was terrible, and I was charged $55 for 2 shots of crown and 2 glasses of Coors light.

I chose this place due to the convenience having Oracle Park right across the street. We Uber from SFO to the hotel. Drop off was easy. The front entrance is off on a side street. The hotel is sleek and edgy. The hotel offers your own lap pad in your room with messages, as well as attractions. The hotel offers a roof top bar that has a view of the baseball stadium. The attractions in the area make this Hotel ideal in location. Few recommendations would be to offer full size shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. There was no dresser/credenza to put your clothes in. The room had so much unused space. The food here was amazing. Staff exceptional!

The front desk staff was great and extremely helpful. Room was mediocre. Went to the rooftop restaurant and had a terrible experience. It was empty and the food was terrible. Service was non existent as well.
