We were disappointed that in the transition to a Hilton property- 1. Rooftop hot tub removed, 2. Rooftop bar not serving for our entire stay- always told maybe later or tomorrow… 3. Very high priced lobby bar, 4. Valet park convenient but pricey. Other venues in the area would be my first choice next time…

Nice hotel. Great location right on Pismo beach pier. Walking distance to many restaurants. We got the ocean view with fire pit. Amazing view. Unfortunately, the fire pit was not working. We asked 2 days in the row to fix, but it was not fixed. Staff didn’t seem to care at all about it. You pay extra for that nice room. It would have been great if it worked or at least offer a discount.

Real small pool and no jacuzzi. 30.00 a day for parking.

Very disappointed with the rooftop pool. We were really looking forward to watching the sunset, enjoying a dip in the pool and hot tub, along with a happy hour cocktail…when we discovered that the pool is in the middle of a restaurant on the roof and the seats to watch the sunset are taken up by the restaurant. Very awkward feeling swimming in the middle of folks having a somewhat higher end dining experience.

Wish pool was heated more

Nice check-in. Only valet parking on-site at $30 per day. Valet service, however, was impeccable. Rooftop restaurant was a nice way to relax a bit after a long drive there.

The pool is not working. And no notification

The hotel was just okay. They claim to have a pool, but it was slightly bigger than the size of the hot tub and it wasn’t in use and being drained. The hotel was just okay.

Location is right in front of the Pismo Beach Pier. Really convenient place to stay where you can walk along to get a bite to eat. Valet parking only for $30 a day which seems too high. Small pool and bar on rooftop

Checked in and front desk but pleasant, but I was very disappointed to know that the rooftop amenities, pool, and gym would not be available due to a wedding. The room rates are high and not having access to all the amentities is frustrating. Guests should be aware of the limited access during booking.

Honestly, the place is very nice and a bit expensive but it's worth the view but what wasn't clean was the toilet was dirty and the towels were also dirty and the bathtub mat had blood stains when we went to sleep I untended the bed and had blood stains on the sheet which did not sleep comfortable 😰

Walking into the Pier was nice and getting coffee at Kraken was convenient. Being right downtown was convenient as well. Didn’t like how our room was dirty. Shower had mold all over and there was hair on the floors and in the sink. Bathroom sink was plugged and made it hard to wash up. For the price I expected it to be more upscale.

Extremely dirty rooms and hallways. The outside and lobby were nice but beyond that, it was awful.

The staff for Valet were rockstars for starters After that we slowly were let down around every corner. Our room was not clean in the slightest (hair on the floors, stains on sheets, feces in toilet walls) with damage everywhere to the doors, walls, couches etc. None of doors could lock because of the damage making privacy nonexistent with having children in the next room. The water was over 130 degrees, I burned myself more than once. I own a plumbing company and know how very dangerous water that hot to unsuspecting adults and children can be. We tried out the roof top dining and was sat away from the firepits (none available which was ok) Then after we froze our whole time a couple was sat next to us where they brought a space heater to enjoy. That just was the icing on the cake. My wife and I both tried the margaritas (first roubd was good, second batch was horrible!!!) We both woke up with horrible headaches. The place at first seemed nice and we tried to not be THAT GUEST about the room but as time wrapped up we couldnt not share this. Hope this helps someone

My parents and I always stay here because it’s convenient, comfortable, and centrally located right in the heart of downtown Pismo Beach. We love the comfort, quality and convenience of the hotel so we’re willing to pay the price for it. However, I was disappointed in the lack of cleanliness of the room and outside patio area. The fire pit, patio furniture and overall patio area was very dirty. The patio furniture was full of stains. I looked next door to my neighbors on both sides and they too have filthy patio furniture and patio areas. We also noticed several stains outside of several of the hotel room doors along the edges. For a classy hotel, the cleanliness is not up to par. I also had to wait almost half an hour for a roll of toilet paper. However, still a great experience with great, friendly, and professional staff. We love the lobby area and the rooftop restaurant. The views up there are amazing and the service is good. Despite a messy patio, we still enjoyed the fire pit at night with a pleasant view of the Pismo pier.

Nice looking hotel in a prime spot in front of the pier making it easy access to all of the restaurants and shops. Room was clean and spacious. Lobby was really pretty. Only issue with this hotel is the rooftop area, it’s large and could be so nice, but all of the seating areas are stained and the pool area was covered in dirty footprints. The pool itself is tiny and looked dirty. There are plenty of staff up in this area that could be keeping it clean, but are standing around. We asked for an heater to brought to the table as it was cold. The signs on the heater say you have to ask staff to position them, but it seemed like a huge issue for the staff to get it for us. Aside from this, the hotel is a nice find.

Hallway carpets need replacing and show effects of 'pet friendly' policy

Live ant trail in the shower. The rooms fire alarm went off three separate times throughout the night starting around 4 AM. Alarm woke me up each time and no reason why it was going off. Staff just removed it from my bedroom and could not go back to sleep.

The room was not very clean it was very dusty. It takes five minutes to dust a room. When the light gets in from the patio, you could see the dust everywhere. For the price there should be no dust at all. Under the chairs on the patio were not swept that was hair and dirt under the chairs.

I didn’t like the state of the rooms. For what I paid I expected everything to work, lamp shades were broken and left on the bedside table, bathroom doors didn’t fully close or lock, multiple lights flickering, food from previous guests was left in the fridge, room service coming in without knocking or announcing twice while I was changing. I notified front desk about the issues and they weren’t dealt with until I physically removed the food from my room and left it in the hallway. Front desk staff was friendly though.

the air conditioning in my room wasn't working. I loved that there was NO carpet in the room. Bed was a little uncomfortable, and ocean view - means overlooking a crowded and loud parking lot.

We booked this room at the last minute. The room itself was nice & clean. It was missing bodywash, but that was no big deal. The people were nice. But be aware that the third party booked rooms are right above a karaoke bar. We had no idea until we had settled in. Thankfully it was over by 10pm on the week night. I'm not sure what time it ends on the weekends. The very loud heater kicked off during the karaoke & was acutely louder. It was almost funny. I just wish the room came with a warning. We would not have booked it had we known.

Overall it was a great place to stay, but the bed was too soft for me. But the ocean view from the rooms at the back of the property on the third floor were so beautiful and nice. Great balcony views

The facilities were nice and. The location was great as super walkable and on the beach. Service was great from valet and front desk. The only draw backs for us were noise and the beds. Beds were too soft and I woke up to a sore lower back each morning. And the noise was pretty bad. We were in bottom room with window to driveway so had traffic noise and voices from guests and valet late into the nights. We could also hear the music from the bar across the street and what sounded like little kids running around the room on the floor above us early in the morning. Also woke to sound of the garbage trucks early in the morning one morning. I would recommend bringing ear plugs. Other than that the rooftop bar was very nice to hang out on though the drinks were okay. And valet was a little pricey but only real option. But overall, we got a really good price on our stay and would probably stay here again.

View was great, location was great. Room was spacious. Not so great..absolutely no instructional or anything communitive in room. Spent 30 mins trying to understand why thermastat would not work..went down to desk was told card had to be in slot. Still didnt not work.. a housekeeper explained patio door had to be closed to work. These simple instructions would be helpful in room. Our room also did not have a "do not disturb" sign for door. Hotel offers i thought room service yet no menu or instruction in room to utlize the service. Literally no guides in room for anything. We checked in friday..and left much earlier to check out time as we were just ready to head home out of exhaustion. You will not get much more than 4hrs of sleep here...both nites room above us was thump thump walking noise till after 1am then 5am the pier parking lot noise of trash services and 40 min long sweeper..def no nap would make up for no nite sleep as the daytime noise is loud with loud speakers, motorcycles and the norm day to day which would be fine if got good nite sleep. I would never pay peak season prices here in addition to 30.00 nite parking ..then since its forced non self park feel obligated to tipping each time get or park car. Been coming to pismo for 30 years and this was my least favorite stay. There are much nicer for lower prices and just as nice views in the area. Staff was very nice..this just was not my cup of tea for being labled a higher end hotel.

The room was clean and large. It had a great view of the beach and pier.

The room was great. Bed seemed a little small for a king. We have a king at home and it just seemed small. Pillows were divine. They sent champagne to the room for my ladies birthday. Shower was nice and hot, decent pressure. The chair on the patio was broken though and she fell because of it.

Rooms over public parking area can be loud late at night

The beach side rooms were an amazing view. Downside was it's was very noisy. Cars revving,people fighting ,early morning noises like street sweepers. It would have been nice to hear the ocean. Rooms are clean ,service desk fas fast and friendly. Valet parking was fast and friendly.

Great view from room 325. Only down fall is it’s right next to the roof top bar. So it’s a little loud at night.

I showed up at time of check in and had to wait 45 minutes for my room. The front desk associate tried to make it right and upgrade my room and the manager didn’t not allow it.

We had some minor inconveniences with our room that we reported at check out: main door not locking, closet doors not closing, filthy baseboards, truly all minor but several of those types of things. Spent the time to report it to front desk upon check out so they could be corrected for the next guest with no expectation they would do anything for us. Hadn't even considered it actually. Without prompting, the guy says he is going to have the manager call me because he wants to ensure we get some sort of credit because that is "too many things for one stay." The manager never called, and we never got any sort of credit. That was never the reason I reported it, but then the promise of it and then not doing it is what felt disappointing. We got so stoked because, oh my gosh, what great service, but then nothing happened. Otherwise, this property is conveniently located, the restaurant is good, and the valets are fast and courteous.

Everything started out great, but then checkout happened. We needed to make multiple trips to the car. We got most stuff out on the first trip. By the time we got to the room again our stuff was gone! It turned out house keeping took all of the rest of our stuff. We weren't even checked out! They had taken out a camera, tripod, wine, and other things. We were a hour ahead of schedule with checkout so we were shocked our stuff was taken. We had NOT checked out yet prior to our stuff being taken. We went to the front desk and asked them and they eventually got some of our stuff back. Then we realized some boots and other stuff was still missing. It probably took about 40 minutes to make sure everything was accounted for. I'm hoping we got everything, but I honestly don't know. It seems like house keeping spread out our stuff they took between multiple carts so it took a while to get it all back.The front desk was rude and didn't want to help us get our stuff back. The valet is great, the guys are wonderful! The room was nice, but no microwave which was odd. Pismo is obviously beautiful and it's in a great location! Never planning on going back to this hotel checkout was a nightmare and I'm worried we lost stuff. When we did get our stuff back some of it was in trash bags. I'm so grateful we were still there to make sure everything was accounted for. Our things were being taken/stolen before we had even left which was disappointing.

My partner and I stayed at Hilton’s Inn at the Pier in Pismo Beach from Feb. 22nd to Feb. 21st for a much-needed getaway. Unfortunately, our stay was ruined by a disturbing incident. After checking in around 4:15 PM, we were getting ready for an evening out when two other guests walked into our room while we were exposed. They apologized, but the damage was done. To make matters worse, the couple stayed on the same floor, making things awkward for the rest of our stay. While we were comped dinner and breakfast, this was hardly enough considering the impact on our privacy and safety. As women, it was especially unsettling to have a man and woman enter our room without warning. I hope Hilton takes further action to address this situation, as our experience went far beyond an uncomfortable moment. We expected much more than a meal in compensation.

This property was great and we had a fantastic stay. Staff was very accommodating and on top of everything.

Love the location, you can’t find a better location. Very noisy with cars looking for parking at the pier. Garbage collection and street sweepers start daily at 6-6:30AM. Only received 1 wash rag, 1 towel, no hand towels. I have long hair and wear makeup. I requested more. Still only got 1. Tissue holder was empty. Requested more, he left a box on the counter for me to install in the holder. Same with toilet paper. Door handle to bathroom door broke, called maintenance. He said it broke on him too, he left and next came back or explained what would be done. Still broken when we checked out. We still had a great time. Very convenient. Bell staff was top-notch!!! Prompt, friendly, always greeting you, fast too. Front desk was nice too. I would stay again, but it wouldn’t hurt if the upped service to the rooms a little more. A little pricey for the value received. But everything is expensive.

Horrible service

I have stayed at this property twice and overall it is a nice place to stay. Unfortunately, the checkout process during the most recent stay was awful and unacceptable. Rooms were not ready until nearly an hour after check in time for most guests that were waiting in the lobby, including those of us who had requested early check-in, and had tried to check in for more than two hours. Although the front desk staff was polite, they did not know how to check people in efficiently (once rooms were ready for some of us) and guests were lined up out the door only to come in and find out most rooms were still not ready. When families come in from the beach and kids are wet and sandy rooms need to be ready. I sincerely hope this property changes staff scheduling and housekeeping practices to meet the needs and expectations of their customers.

I truly enjoy the location of this property. Only a parking lot separates you from the sand and sea. Local restaurants and shopping are all within walking distance and the pier is just across the parking lot. I've stayed here several times and always get a room with an ocean view. I will be back!

When we arrived, we quickly dropped off our belongings and headed out to explore. I noticed the floor was a bit dirty but didn’t think much of it at the time. Later that evening, when I went into the bathroom, I found clumps of hair near the bathtub, some stuck to the sliding door, and short curly hairs on the sink. The following morning, I mentioned this to Robert at the front desk and asked if someone could come by to clean the room. I didn’t report it the night before as my kids were exhausted and needed to sleep. I truly appreciate Robert—he handled the situation with such understanding, compassion, and kindness. The property manager was also wonderful, stepping in to make sure the issue was addressed quickly and that our stay remained pleasant. The location of the hotel is fantastic—it’s a beachfront property with stunning views of the pier, which is just a short walk away. We loved the easy access to the beach and nearby attractions. The valet team was super friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Breakfast was a standout, 10/10 for both food and service. Dinner was good as well, but I’d give it an 8/10 due to the long wait times. That said, the views during dinner were incredible, which helped make up for it. The hotel also features a small heated pool, perfect for families with young kids. It comfortably fits about five children, though it’s on the smaller side if you’re expecting more space.

Loved the barn doors, nice balcony and good mattress. Ran out of hot water when taking a shower. Dinner was amazing. I ordered the Bronzinni. Was out of this world.

Overall nice place/good value. The services for Sunday brunch were not good. Big wedding party the night before may have contributed.

Valet is kind of pricey considering there aren’t a ton of other parking options. Parking on the street isn’t super safe since it’s right downtown where there is high traffic and the town bar. So we chose the valet parking, which was nice, just wished it was a little cheaper. But otherwise we loved the hotel and loved our stay. The rooftop bar was awesome. Great view, great drinks and food. We overall had a great stay

Property was very clean, staff was really nice. Parking is mandatory valet, $30, never happy about that...but it was okay this time since i wasnt going in/out. Rooftop for New Years Eve reserved for event, with tickets at $108 pp. I wish they'd start including that with your reservation, but never do. I ate next door at Vespera, which appeared to be a better setting for festivities and accommodations. It was a gorgeous hotel, and outdoor seating with fire pits. For the money here, i had ocean view, but its really of the parking lot...not really worth it. But overall the stay was nice. I know im not sounding very helpful for a review, im really trying here. The only complaint i have about the room was the shower, it was down right awful. Calcium deposits, shower water barely flowing well, downright disgusting. And lighting in room is super dim, so dont bring a book to enjoy. Overall, id say stay nextdoor for the first time, then try Inn at the pier.

Nice property. Very polite and helpful employees. Food was great— especially breakfast with the homemade sourdough toast.

The property was in a nice, convenient location. The cleanliness was good. The breakfast at the lobby restaurant was delicious. The only issue I encountered was a male receptionist who was not very friendly and almost passive-aggressive. Thankfully, I only dealt with him upon check-in. The rest of the staff I encountered was amazing!

This property is in an amazing location. It has incredible views. There were issues with power and water due to a storm, which were understandable. The cost of parking is ridiculous. It was disappointing that the rooftop bar was not open. Most of the employees were kind and attentive.

Amazing stay! Great views, friendly & helpful staff. The sunset from the rooftop was perfection. We'll be back.

Nice hotel, everything we needed & good location, although it was rather noisy until late. We are at the restaurant upstairs & wouldn’t recommend them at all!
