We had another very nice stay at this Hampton. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful and the breakfast good. I did run into a difficulty trying to get change to leave a tip for housekeeping. They did not have any cash to give me change. I would recommend you plan ahead and have small enough bills if you want to leave a tip. Also, this time around it was difficult to close the door to our room - it seemed to stick so if you went out and thought it would close behind you, it did not. Other than that it was a great stay.

The room was nice and the bed was comfy. However, the stopper on the bathroom sink did not keep the water from draining out. The toilet paper holder was just hanging to the wall by one screw and there was black mold in the shower. I mentioned this to the front desk clerk when we checked out. She said she would tell maintenance, however she didn't write down our room number.

Lovely, clean hotel in a great location with walking access to restaurants and shops. It's a little strange that the bathroom has a sliding door with no lock. But it was a spacious room. Breakfast left a bit to be desired but it was free so no biggie. The room had a good microwave and nice sized fridge. I like that there were 2 desks. Seems to be a pet friendly hotel for those interested in that. Overall nice hotel and would stay again if I'm in the area.

Stayed 3 nights

I'm a Hilton Honors member, and I stay at this particular Hampton every time I come to Decatur. It's very centrally located in Mount Zion; everything you need is around you. I've always enjoyed my stay, but this stay was less pleasant. We called about our sink being stopped up, but we were told by the front desk that there was no maintenance available. They were willing to move us to another room, but we had already unloaded so much stuff. We were there for 3 days for an event, and it was too much to load up and move to another room. Secondly, there was more hair in the room than what I would have liked to have seen. Housekeepers need to tidy up, especially when it comes to hair in the bathroom. People do not want to see other people's hair that does not belong to them. In the corners of the bathroom, long hairs were wrapped around the bottom of the toilet commode and in the shower on the body washes and shampoos. The bathroom was ultimately clean, but there were too many hair follicles. Thirdly, when you get rooms with double beds, you have to make sure they change and check the sheets. The sheets on the second bed in our room were not changed, and the pillowcases were dirty and used. It was just a shame. When you shell out $700 for 3 days, this just wasn't the pleasant stay I was looking for, as I always do. Will this stop me from staying with Hilton properties? No. I will be back next month, and I hope this time if I choose to stay at this property again no issues . Thanks
