Stayed 1 night

We stayed 1 night. Worst experience ever. The guy who checked us in was not interested. I asked about paying for parking he asked how i was going to pay and i confirmed with my card they had on there system and I thought he had done it. Went to our room cleaned up and went out for a meal, when we got back someone asked us about parking he looked at our room number and said it wasn't payed. We explained about checking in and he took payment over 3 hours later. Someone had a party until gone 4.30 am. No sleep when we checked out told receptionist after making my point she said she would inform the manager. Im still waiting for a call to discuss my complaint but of course, as they say, don't hold your breath. Len Harvey

The regency itself is going through a refit and this is our second visit.we stayed in a newly refurbished Double/Double room. The beds are comfortable and the room was a great size. If there was a niggle or more of a hindrance was the fact there are no hooks or shelf space in the bathroom for towels or clothes. That was a small thing but one to be noted however all the staff from reception to bar to breakfast were absolutely brilliant. The food was great and we thought was very reasonable considering a hotel. Overall a great hotel and we will be back.

No air conditioning at all in the hotel, which was a killer on the hottest week in UK history. Food and drinks were good apart from the dirty pint glasses. Overall, ok.
