The room was fine. We stayed on the second floor, and there is no elevator. We parked at the end of the building opposite of the office. The stairs and a landing were in terrible condition. Looked like they had not been maintained in many years. The boards are kind of rotten and the stairs are rusty. They could use some TLC. The room itself was fine. I don’t even know if they had breakfast or not. they had coffee in the lobby. I had a mini fridge and microwave. Really when it comes down to it this room is the same as a Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn, express, etc., for a better price. The lack of an elevator and the rusty stairs are the only reason it doesn’t get a five but if you need a good clean room with a decent bed and a TV This is a great choice. I will stay here again.

Very clean establishment, stocked and well taken care of. Friendly accommodating staff eager to assist. The location of the property exceeded my expectations with at least 3 family friendly sit down restaurants within walking distance. Lou's Diner Chicago Pizza Truck stop Travel Plaza Restaurant I would definitely recommend this place for both short and extended stays. The only down side is the lack of an elevator.

As senior citizens we requested a room on the first floor. We were given a second room floor with no elevator. We had to carry all our luggage up and down the stairs and it was extremely difficult and physically painful. No accommodations for people with disabilities!!!! If I could give a zero rating I would. Not to mention we had to carefully carry our luggage back down all the stairs and I received a phone call to the room that said we had to leave because it was check out time!!!REALLY, we would have been gone but we had to carry our things out and climb up and down the stairs and still almost fell!!! ADA should be contacted about this issue immediately!!!

It was OK for a Red Roof Inn. However, we stayed on the second floor and the external stairs and doorway into the floor were not always secured as the door would drag on the door frame and the outside porch leaving the area unsecured!

The sheets were not changes and dirty when we arrived. I called to clean ones and had to change my own bed. the sheets that were given to me were clean but STAINED! Awful on every level. Will NEVER stay at a Red Roof Inn again and will spread the word for sure!

It was a nice enough property. The location and price were good. The room was updated and large. However, I walked around in my new white socks and was shocked at how dirty they were when I took them off! Even Clorox won't make them white again :( Apparently the room gets dusted, but not mopped. The food was okay. The coffee pot in the room only worked 1 time. Didn't make too much of an impression.

Greeted by friendly staff member who helped when bringing luggage in. Room very clean, very spacious; smelled clean. We travel with a Shepard, it’s always unpleasant to walk into rooms with old carpet and pet smells. This room had faux wood floors which make it so much better to clean and avoids collecting pet smells from others who have had accidents or who haven’t the manners to wait until they get outside. The bed was comfortable and the entire room exceptionally clean. I will stay here again if it happens to be I. The timeframe of travel on my way west.

Check-in and check-out was easy. The room was comfortable. The tub floor was higher than the floor. Getting in the tub was easy but the difference in the height while getting out was slippery and unexpected. The hotel was quiet. Shower water pressure was good. Overall, we would stay again.

Very disappointing check in process, checked in on a Saturday afternoon, one would think a busy time for hotels and no one at the front desk. Only the automated kiosk, connected to some call center overseas. Worst part was the AC was not working properly on a 90 degree day! No one to speak to since they don’t bother staffing the front desk on a weekend afternoon! AC unit just blows semi warm air and is noisy as can be…. Also, hotel was being painted on the exterior and all windows were completely sealed, basically the room was a windowless box.

Someone is going to get hurt in the bathroom tube. The bottom is really slick and there is not any hold bars to keep you from slipping or falling. Need to have grip tape on the bottom or something. I was really learnt about slipping.

The room was in good condition and very clean. But the check-in process makes me not want to stay there again. I arrived late at night as a solo female traveler, and check-in felt sketchy. The front desk was dark and closed, with a sign saying to go to a kiosk. I checked in with a guy by video at the kiosk. He said there was someone on site despite no staff anywhere. There was a random guy hanging out in the lobby behind me that seemed to be sleeping on the sofa, which didn’t instill much confidence, especially with the feeling that no one was manning the lobby. I would have left for another place if it weren’t so late and I was so exhausted. But it didn’t feel like the safest environment.

Hotel felt very empty and unattended due to not having a front desk clerk on staff at the property. A virtual kiosk is not a person, and does not make people feel safe and well kept while staying the night, would not recommend and will not return.

The staff at Red Roof was immediately welcoming. Randy was a pleasure to talk to and joke with. The room was clean, jetted tub was much needed and overall stay was wonderful. While they do not provide breakfast do not let that deter you as Lou’s Diner right next door provides wonderful breakfast at very reasonable prices and the food is excellent. Thank you to the owners and the staff. Well done.

Virtual Front Desk Chaos — but Great Housekeeping Staff Just like other reviews mentioned, the front desk here is a Virtual Kiosk — there’s no actual person on-site, and check-in takes forever. The screen said, “My name is Alan and I will assist you.” Alan told us that our Expedia reservation didn’t exist and claimed my credit card was declined — even though I had already booked and paid through Expedia. He kept insisting, “You don’t have a reservation.” I showed him my confirmed booking on my phone screen through the camera, and after a long pause he said, “Oh… okay, I understand now.” Understand what, exactly? lol I never even handed him my credit card, so how could he possibly think it was declined? The whole situation made no sense. He also asked for my car’s license plate number and took forever to finish the check-in process. It was just unnecessarily complicated and frustrating. That said, the room itself was clean, and the morning housekeeping staff were all friendly and smiling — it felt nice to be greeted by local American staff for a change. They were the only positive part of this hotel experience.

Arrived on a Wednesday and no employee personnel around. Had to use a kiosk to check into room. There was no stay. I booked a room 11/25, 5min later I verified to see if the booking went through and it appeared that it had not? I looked under trips and there was nothing there. I checked my emails. There was nothing there. I had stayed at this property numerous times I never had an issue with receiving email. Somehow it went into my junk mail even though I did not direct that to happen. Wound up not even going on that particular trip. Never heard a word from them except for email that went to my junk. After my stay would’ve been completed 5 nights I received a receipt from them it did not go to my junk mail. I checked and the addresses are totally different. So why they went to junk mail I have no idea. hotels.com contacted the red roof Inn Cloverdale on my behalf and even though I never checked in, they billed me for all five nights. I have stayed about 10 nights or more there this year plus this would’ve been another five. My brothers have stayed several other nights as well as my sister and sisters in law who all stayed on separate occasions numerous nights. I hope it was well worth it to rip me off as you’ll never see another dime of our money again. hotels.com contacted them on my behalf and they just said tough turkey. You were a no-show. You would think a frequent visitor who did not show up. Gave five stars every visit thatYou would check with them? See my other reviews, even though I was a frequent customer and always received my confirmations before they changed email address and it went to my junk mail. Early on I tried to cancel the reservation but I could not find one. Looked in my email. There was no email for confirmation. They decided it would be a great idea to bill me for five nights for a trip that I did not even make. I can understand one night, even though it was not my fault, but all five nights is just unethical.

Very clean establishment, stocked and well taken care of. Friendly accommodating staff eager to assist. The location of the property exceeded my expectations with at least 3 family friendly sit down restaurants within walking distance. Lou's Diner Chicago Pizza Truck stop Travel Plaza Restaurant I would definitely recommend this place for both short and extended stays. The only down side is the lack of an elevator.

Easy to find and in better condition than I would have expected. We arrived later at night and had to do their virtual check in, in the main lobby, which went smoothly. The building and rooms are in good condition for a budget hotel & the beds were comfortable. I would stay again if in the area.

Clean, comfortable and non smoking. Don’t forget to try Lou’s Diner that is just a short walk from the motel. Yum. Patience might be required because she may be short staffed but the food is worth it.

The room was spacious and clean. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The walls were just too thin than you can hear the neighbors talking and their TV. Would have been nice if they offered complimentary breakfast as the others inn do. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

The room and the building was clean. The bed was very comfortable. Only small issue I had is that it didn't have soap like some of the other hotels I've been to.
