GOOD: Staff was very friendly; room was clean; bed was comfortable; convenient parking; pool temperature was great. NOT GOOD: Hot tub jets didn't work properly; waffle maker didn't work; our room shared the wall with laundry and could hear machine hum consistently. BAD: faint beeping of an alarm (dryer?) entire stay.

Hot tub was not working. The only reason we booked this hotel for the face that the surrounding hotels did not have hotels. It was advertised a hot tub.

Elevators were broken. Only had rooms available on the 3rd Floor. Front Desk apologized for inconvenience and allowed me to switch my room to two queen beds so my daughter and I didn't have to share also gave us a discount. With all of this it was still very difficult to carry a full size suitcase and everything else we brought up multiple flights of stairs. Or any other time we left our room.

Because I preregistered online the day before my arrival I received a text informing me when my room was ready. Love this amenity! Rooms and property were very clean and updated. My only wish is that I would have been informed prior to arrival that the hot tub wasn't working. That particular amenity was the reason I chose this property over other options.

Walkable to downtown Gaylord with several nice dining options. We enjoyed the indoor hot tub after a day spent biking on the North Central State Trail. The breakfast buffet was better than average. Would stay here again.

Great spot. Right off highway. Restaurants and bars within 5-10 minutes. Very safe area. Super clean property. Pool area small but awesome. Added bonus the fact pool/hot tub open until 11:00. Free breakfast is awesome. Nothing but good thins to say.

Brenda at check-in was super friendly and welcoming, offered water, and advised on the best place to park for access to my room. The room was extremely clean. The walls of the hotel are quite thin, so it is a touch noisy. I had a small fan with me that I turned on to help drown out some of the sound but it was quiet overnight. Breakfast had a nice variety of food and the dining area is nice to eat in. All in all, a good stay. And it is right off of 75, so extremely convenient.

Pulled up to check in. Few people were setting outside throwing back a few. Sounded like they had been doing it for a while. Check in was ok, no issues. Got up to the room. Then we started the odyssey. Found hair on the floor in the bathroom, ok not the cleanest motel. Then pulled back the bed. Found hair all over the bed. Called down to complain. We were told to come get some new keys and they would move us. We gathered our bags and went to the next room. Pulled back the covers before we unpacked. Well, our friend the hair was there too. The sheet looked like it hadn't been changed in a few months. The lady at the desk was in the room with us. So, I pulled the comforter off and found more hair. The front desk lady got new clean sheets and changed out everything for us. Needless to say, the room felt unclean after that point.

Clean, modern, smells nice, beautiful place with comfy gathering areas, tea, hot chocolate, and coffee bar. It’s got great pillows on the bed and the mattress is just right. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Carpet had spots missing, shower was unusable because the spout let water go everywhere. If you didn’t wash your hair you didn’t have a choice, and no hair dryer. Front desk girl that was trying was not nice or welcoming. Other front desk people were nice. Overall not worth the price point. Better to stay at the comfort suites across the street. Bigger rooms and cheaper.

There was no mention of renovations when I booked the room. I asked to be on the quieter side of the building. The lady said the side by the hwy was quieter because Texas Roadhouse was loud. Well the hwy side was not quiet. There was a cherry picker outside our window spray painting ! They didn’t stop working til 5:30 pm. The hwy was loud, Trash collector came at 5:45 am with loud beeping and now morning traffic was loud again. Not a very restful afternoon after traveling 10 hours and no way to sleep in. I doubt Texas Roadhouse would have been noisy at 5:45 am. I would not stay here again.

Our stay at the Fairfield Marriot in Gaylord was excellent! The rooms were very clean and the service was excellent. The front desk staff, Krista, not sure if this spelling is correct,was very professional and courteous and made sure our stay was excellent. She truly went above and beyond and I would consider Marriot giving her a promotion would be my recommendation! The breakfast buffet was fresh and delicious especially the make your own waffles! Would definitely stay here again.

I stopped there late in the evening, and left fairly quickly in the morning, which doesn’t normally iliicit much feedback for a review. But room and building was extremely nice and comfortable, and service was excellent and memorable. GM was playing desk clerk, night auditor, bartender and more, but still offered excellent service and warm conversation.

I encountered some check in glitches. The day before my stay I received an email from Fairfield to check in early. When I tried to check in the email said that there wasn't a reservation for me. So I panicked and tried calling the Fairfield in Gaylord. I tried three times calling the number listed on the website only to get a recording stating that the number is no longer in service. I arrived at the Fairfield the next morning wondering if there would be a room for me. There was. I told the attendant about the recording and she was not aware of the issue. I wonder why staff would not know that their phone number sometimes doesn't work. It would certainly discourage people from making reservations. I was totally frustrated by the whole experience. I hope they get that phone number issue worked out.

The power went out and the staff said they hadn't heard anything about when it would be back or if crews were working on it. I need electricity for a medical device and was told even if we leave we would still be charged the full rate since we went in the room. We were only in the room 5 munutes before the power went out.
