Spacious family room with two proper double beds and plenty of play space for our kids. Huge bathroom with deep tub and separate shower – a rarity in Japan. Laundry was a lifesaver: 4 washers + 4 fast, efficient dryers (never waited once). Breakfast was excellent, great pastries and fruit. Kids ate happily every day. Perfect location: 3-minute walk to Shinsaibashi station and a covered arcade straight to Namba – easy with little ones, rain or shine. Clean, quiet, super kid-friendly staff. Hands-down our favorite Osaka hotel for families. Already planning to return!

Very well situated hotel with excellent amenities and comfortable room. Easy walk to the main sightseeing area, restaurants and bars. Quiet street and no outside noise. Laundry and coffee facilities were exceptional. Staff were amazing.

Of the many hotels we have stayed at around Japan the laundry facility here had the best washer and dryers hands down! There were four of each and wash time and dryer times were FAST! The bed was firm, the lounge offered free coffee and the hotel was conveniently located by a station.

Very nice and modern hotel. Super close to the train lines and shopping/restaraunts. Staff was very nice and helpful, and so happy they spoke English. Breakfast had a good variety, along with quality and everything was well seasoned. Complimentary all day coffee was also a nice touch. There was also onsite washers/dryers and detergent was automatically dispensed. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Wonderful experience!

Lovely clean hotel and room. Breakfast was included in our rate and was excellent, really enjoyed it each morning. Had free tea and bean to cup coffee in the lobby, filtered water and ice. Quiet room at rear of property. Suggested improvement, put the TV in the room at an angle where it can be seen. Oddly it is sited to the right of the bed in the room we were in.

Great location! Very close to major shopping area and dotonbori. There were a lot of food options nearby. The hotel was very convenient, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. My favorite thing was that you didn’t have to click a button getting on the elevator since it would just detect it from your key. They also had reusable water bottles you could borrow at the front desk with a free refill station as well. Very convenient and eco friendly.

10/10 loved this hotel. Always felt comfortable and safe. Coffee machine for free drinks, comfy seating areas. The only way up is through the elevator with room key. There’s a stair way that only goes up to reception. Everything was super conveniently close. Area: Very safe for the most part, nightlife starts as soon as the sun goes down. There’s plenty of bars/clubs/ adult clubs at every other corner. Don’t be out past 9/10pm to avoid it. Most stores close around that time if not 8pm anyway. So start your day early Osaka is still very busy city vibe. If you’re looking for something more authentic and slow pace, Kyoto was very beautiful and we wished we had planned to stay there too.

Great location close to many restaurants and shops. The hotel is modern and clean. Breakfast buffet has a lot of options and was tasty. There are also laundry machines for guests to use. I enjoyed the double room we stayed in, particularly the shower which has both an overhead rain and handheld shower head.

Cleanliness was excellent! There are 4 washing machines and 4 dryers, which are all commercial grade so clothes dried quite quickly! Rooms are expected of a 3 star hotel. Walking distance to shops in Dotonburi and Midosuji station is close to the hotel. Will stay again!

Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Sehr saubere Zimmer, natürlich nicht riesig, aber völlig ausreichend. Dusche war dafür sehr geräumig, Badezimmer mit einer in Japan wahrscheinlich üblichen High-Tech Toilette :) Tolles Frühstück (sowohl japanische als auch internationale Speisen). Mit der Metro sehr gut erreichbar, Lage quasi mitten im Geschehen. Etliche Restaurants, Bars, Shops und das Dotonbori-Viertel in nur wenigen Gehminuten erreichbar. In der Nacht trotzdem sehr ruhig. Hotel bietet außerdem Annahme und Versand von Gepäckstücken an.

What a fantastic hotel. Although it’s in a busy area the double glazing means that you don’t hear much of the outside. Room was spacious enough. I had a double and the shower was excellent. Staff could not have been more helpful, they were fabulous. Would definitely stay here again, around £10 for breakfast and a huge buffet to pick from with European and British food. I forgot my phone charger and they gave me a free charger for the week. Walking distance to train, and they helped me get to the airport easier. Multi languages spoken.

Room was small with no place to put your clothes. You will be living out of your suitcase on the floor. Breakfast buffet was not great, very western. After the first day we chose to walk to McDs. Shower was great! Can't open window fully to balcony (opened only 4 inches). Can't see out the window (completely frosted). Tried to open for fresh air only to get fried food smell into the room. If you are looking for no-frill basic room then this is for you.

Excellent location right next to Shinsaibashi. Great breakfast. Small room but sparkling clean. The bathroom is one step higher which can be a hazard. We got one of the worst rooms on the lowest floor 3/F next to the utility room, but still okay. The window glass is frosted & cannot see outside.

HOTEL THE FLAG Shinsaibashi was incredible for us. The location was surprisingly convenient to the train station, food and shopping which was amazing. The staff were incredibly friendly, approachable and SUPER helpful and the amenities provided was fantastic. Consistently we were battling 35 Degrees Celsius + heat and they had onsite Ice and Water machine that really helped us beat the heatstroke.

The staff spoke great English and were really attentive and helpful in our travel needs. Rachael gave us directions for our second part of the trip to Tokyo and mapped out the train system to get there. The trip went very smoothly because of her recommendations. The hotel location is excellent close to huge shopping mall that leads to the Dontonburi area with endless food choices. There are great restaurants surrounding the hotel area as well. The restaurants’ vibe and quality of the food were actually much better compared to the ones in Dontonburi.!We highly recommend Hotel The Flag.

It was a great hotel, even if the room was small, the set up was amazing. The shower in the bathroom was incredible! Staff was friendly, and even though the area outside had a lot of nightlife, there was good security to get into the building. My only complaint about the hotel would be that because of the heavy night life, we could hear music at 4am, and it would be a struggle sleeping.
