We drove to surrounding locations because the hotel sits on a hill and the climb is difficult for older folks. This is an older renovated two story hotel without an elevator, so expect that. Our 2nd floor end unit king room was clean, comfortable, quiet, spacious, had a balcony and view of shops and mountains. They should skip the grab and go packaged breakfast option. Unless you’re an early morning hiker, you’ll most likely go elsewhere for breakfast. There is a very small pool and play area in the parking lot.

If your priority is the Uptown location and the view this is the place for you. Be aware parking spaces are limited and if you arrive later in the day there may not be a spot for you. Desk attendant on check-in acted as if it was a bother to serve us. Also no night manager.

Located right in the heart of Sedona beautiful sunsets and sunrises hotel is very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful but the website fails to mention that there are no elevators where I was traveling with a disabled person are room was on the second level and she had to walk upstairs. This was not mentioned in the website when I booked this room, and there were no other rooms available to change my reservation. Hot tub was nice, but was not heated.

The Matterhorn is the only place we will stay when visiting Sedona. The views are unrivaled. Pool, hot tub, and other public spaces are well kept and the usage hours are plentiful. Light breakfast in the lobby is a nice touch. The only recommendation I’d make is that when booking, you may want to specify whether or not you want to be near a room that allows dogs. Thank you for another memorable stay!

Older property (think 1955) that has recently been refurbished. Surprisingly quiet since it's on the main drag. Very convenient to restaurants and shopping; walkable. Must use adjacent city parking lot when motel is full (26 rooms; 19 spaces). Room was pleasant and clean.

Nice uptown location. Easy access to everything uptown. Traffic was not nearly as bad as expected. Note everything shuts down early. Liked pool and hot tub was open later than most-10PM.

The hotel is in a convenient location in Uptown Sedona. Parking was limited if you got back in the afternoon, but there are public lots nearby that you can park in overnight. The lobby didn't open until 8:00 so we weren't able to grab any snacks before we went hiking. The room was spacious and comfortable.

Location is great, the bed is comfortable and the room is clean. Reception staff was aloof and not personalbe, the parking situation in the afternoon is stressful and poor. The room above us didn't respect quite hours and stomped around each morning starting at 5 am. You have to request daily maid service when it should be automatic considering the price point. This is more of a motel vibe rather than what you would expect from a pricey hotel. You're paying for the location and mountain view.

Location (close to restaurants and shopping) and view (looks out at the rock mountains like snoopy) were great! Room is fine, bed is softer than I prefer, bathroom is small. Nice that the interior has been renovated. Exterior is dated. Breakfast was coffee/tea, yogurt, banana/apples, and bars. Parking is near the building. Maid service is every 3-days or upon request. A 10am checkout is unreasonable, especially during a weekend where we lost an hour for daylight savings. Asked for a later checkout and the best they could do is 11am.

What a great little hotel! Newly renovated, and you can't beat the views! Spectacular view of the mountain! We were there for Christmas and we had the big Christmas tree right outside our balcony! What a treat! We were able to walk around town with ease. My only complaint would be that the walls are very thin. You can hear your neighbors talking and the people above you aound like a herd of elephants running through the Serengeti. Try to get a room upstairs if it's available.

Everything was wonderful- location, room, bed, amenities, and view. The one thing that prevents us from giving this hotel a five-star rating is the Friedrich AC system. The system would turn off randomly at night and there did not seem to be an option on the Verdant thermostat to keep the fan running continuously. This left us waking up in a sweltering room several times at night.

Clean, good value and very well renovated heritage property right downtown. Clean and modern interior with almost everything you would expect from a modern chain hotel. Downsides are that the walls are very thin and can hear talking next door and loud footsteps upstairs. The air conditioning is very loud and did not keep the room cool. Can’t beat the location and price but will likely stay somewhere more comfortable.

Hotel is in a central location, you have free parking but it is limited, there’s free grab and go breakfast perfect if you’re on a budget like yogurt, bananas, breakfast bars and coffee, our room overlooked the main strip which was great. My only complaint was the noise. You could hear everything form the upstairs neighbors and it seemed like they were square dancing all night and up super early to tap. I would stay here again in an upper level room. That’s it.

We stayed in a superior king room with Mountain View balcony and it was fantastic. The room was modern and nicely decorated with useful extras such as fridge with small freezer compartment, microwave, coffee maker and even make up remover cloths. Coffee also available in the lobby. Bed really comfortable and it was so nice opening the curtains to such a beautiful view in the morning. Breakfast was grab and go consisting of a range of cereal bars, fruit and yogurt. The hotel is in a good location amongst the upper Sedona shops and restaurants. Lobby staff friendly and helpful in suggesting self tours of historic local towns. Highly recommend.

I stayed at Matterhorn Inn in Sedona for 2 nights from May 1st to 3rd in a 2 bedroom suite. The place was clean and the location was decent. However, be aware of parking situation.There were 24 hotel units but only 14 parking spots (excluding handicap). When I arrived, no parking space was available. I parked the Matterhorn Lot 4 which was across the street which is a public parking lot allowing only 3 hours, so I parked one of the Matterhorn assigned parking spaces for Matterhorn staff. I got a parking citation for $60 fine by Sedona Police Department next morning. I talked to the front desk and the woman said there’s nothing they can do even though the police enforcement was on their behalf. They didn’t provide parking for the guests but they have reserved parking for the staff and let the guests pay for the parking fine after paying over $1,000 for 2 nights.

The room was big, modern, and in very good condition. The location in town was excellent. Service was poor. The office is only open 8am-9pm. There is no daily maid service. They advertise that they serve breakfast, but actually, they just set out some yogurt, granola bars, and a little fruit for guests to take back to their rooms, as there is no dining area. Not really breakfast in my book. For the price, you can do better.

Matterhorn was an excllent value! Right in town, walking distance to all the shops. Pool was really nice. Coffee and water in the lobby is only availale while staffed 8am to 10pm. Will probably only stay here when visting sedona

Fantastic hotel with caring staff. We had an issue with our AC but the lady in charge went above and beyond to get it sorted. You could tell it was genuine care too. Fantastic location and views are wonderful. Bed really comfy.

We struggled picking a hotel in Sedona and ultimately settled on Matterhorn because of the location. We could not have been happier with the hotel as well as location. Other hotels may be closer to trails however this is in the center of everything! The price and value were also the best. I highly recommend the Matterhorn Inn for your stay in Sedona!

We always try to book the Matterhorn Inn when we stay in Sedona. It's beautiful, comfortable, has amazing views, and is perfectly located to take advantage of shopping and restaurants. It's very close to Oak Creek Canyon, as well.

This was our first time here and we loved this location. We were right by several restaurants and shopping. Our view from our room was fabulous (2nd floor w/balcony - Mountain View). The only drawback was that the continental breakfast was served too late for us to grab it in the morning because we wanted to get to our hikes before the crowd. We suggest you buy some basic groceries for this purpose.

Most comfortable bed I’ve ever stayed in. Continental breakfast is fine but there is no seating so eat in your room. Hot tub is a must. Overall, a great place to stay, and it’s right in the middle of downtown close to all the shops and not far from great sights and hikes.

Very good . Breakfast hours and options need improvement. Slow coffee line for one cup at a time and prepackaged items. Does not justify the resort fee. Hours need to be earlier as hikers need to get to trailheads very early. One day no one was there until 8:10. Need more info on parking overflow as parking fills up. Rest of stay was great, location is good and rooms have been updated.
