Central City Hotel

This hotel was a great find that we were so happy about! It's a rather small hotel very close to the Chania old center, so the location is extremely convenient. A small (for us) downside of this is that you might hear people talking quite loudly until late in the night. The walls are also rather thin so we could hear when people were talking on the hallway or opening their room doors. Other than that, everything was excellent - very clean when we arrived and also housekeeping was very thorough (do note though, that you have to announce when you want housekeeping in your room and it's not available on Sunday). Breakfast is quite diverse and they had a delicious selection of pastries and pies that they rotated daily. We also enjoyed the freshly squeezed orange juice and the freshly made omlette. Breakfast is served on a nice rooftop terrace so this also adds to the experience. What stood out the most, however, was the staff - everyone we interacted with was extremely nice, friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible and even after we checked out they invited us to stay for a few hours on the rooftop terrace since we had a late flight. If we ever come back to this part of Crete we'd love to stay here again!

Everything was perfect

Our stay in Chania was indeed great experience. Thanks to Central City Hotel especially Olga and the lady (I forgot her name) who prepares fresh breakfast every day. All staff were very friendly. The hotel is situated in the centre of town where we can explore the area by foot. Even late at night. Chania is indeed a lovely place to explore for those who are not aware of the town. It has loads of local restaurant and Greek culture is all around the atmosphere. For us, it wasn’t too crowded yet as its not the peak of tourist season which is lovely and enjoyable to walk around. The hotel gave us the experience of a mixture of city break and beach holiday as the nearest beach is around 15 mins walk. We dont mind it at all as there are plenty and great scenery while walking to the beach. It is also a recommended location as we go out late night to eat, walk in old town harbour and shops are within reach. Lovely place and will definitely come back.

Great location in the centre of the town. The bus station is behind the hotel, easy to walk to it and taxi rank nearby too. Lots of cafes and shops on the same road too. All the staff are excellent . Was welcomed by the lovely Olga who was very helpful and gave lots of useful information about the area. Breakfast on the roof terrace was good , with nice views. Very quiet inside the hotel even though it is in the centre of town.

Very clean and well set up room, with a comfortable bed. Basic room not fancy, as I expected. The check-in staff was super helpful. Convenient location. Great stay for a great price. My only comment is that there are stairs to get from the street to the lobby, which I was not aware of. Having recently had shoulder surgery, it is a problem carrying luggage up (or down) stairs.
