Great central place to stay in Marlow - staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good and service excellent. Remember it is working pub so it will have clients in the evening. If you are an early bird and wants to be in bed by 10pm not recommended. We had a great sleep and would stay again.

A great pub. Good atmosphere. Check in easy. Parking areas in the town. Walkable. Marlow is lovely. Lots of nice shops. Lots of options for good food and lively pubs on the Saturday.

Had a great stay at this hotel. Good pub downstairs and we stayed up until closing so no issues with any noise from the band. Breakfast was fab! Marlow was fab also.

Really good place to stay right in the heart of Marlow. Plenty of public car parks available within a short walking distance of the pub. Nice comfortable rooms with tea and coffee facilities. ( Nespresso machine made a nice coffee) Staff friendly and helpful. Have stayed before and would definitely stay again. Marlow is such a wonderful place too.

We stayed in room 2. The room was spacious and we liked the decor/styling. The room had pretty much everything we needed for a short stay, the fresh milk in the tea/coffee area was a nice touch. The pillows had seen better days - very flat, not comfortable and we noticed in the morning, quite badly stained. Unfortunately the bathroom also really let it down. There were very obvious ventilation issues (you could see the water drip marks down the painted walls) and lots of discoloured grout/sealant around the shower. It was fine for one night. We arrived quite late and left early so didn’t really interact with the staff much but when we did they were helpful and the check-in/check-out process was efficient. Location is excellent for access to bars/restaurants/shops. The hotel does not have parking but there is a public car park a few minutes away.

We parked in the car park at the back which said Chequers, but found out from the staff that it was staff only. There were no details on the website about parking that we could find. Were told we would get a ticket if we stayed there. Suggest it is made clear on the website and that the signs in the car park say staff only.

Lovely pub in the heart of the town. Restaurant options were great for vegetarians and the food was delicious. The only downside to our stay was that there was a band playing in the bar, which was directly below our bedroom. Management apologised in the morning and explained that we should have been informed on check in and offered a room at the back of the pub instead. Rooms are very well decorated and of good quality.

We really enjoyed a brief one night stay with friends. A great location in the heart of a lovely town, a good selection of ales, friendly staff who make you feel welcome, and a really enjoyable dinner. Our room was comfortable, clean and with a nice en suite bathroom, and the breakfast was really good. Would certainly return.

What a lovely quintessential hotel/pub in the centre of Marlow, beautiful querky room, not generically modern which seems to be taking over these days, very clean and comfortable, staff were lovely and accomodating, overall would highly recommend for a weekend break, good value for money in the area

The kitchen extraction fans are extremely loud below some of the bedrooms to the point where they almost vibrate the entire room. In addition the rooms have very loud showers which can be heard in neighbouring rooms. I would strongly advise the hotel to inform guests of these discomforts ahead of booking. Room six is definitely the worst. In addition the bathroom has a heavy amount of mould on the ceiling and walls. You can't fault the location for if you're looking for a good night sleep I would recommend paying for the suite or staying somewhere else

Situated in the centre of Marlow, a 2 minute walk to the river, lots of shops and bars nearby. Friendly staff and excellent service. The room was very clean and tidy, the bed really comfortable. Quite expensive but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend and will definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay at The Chequers. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. Despite the pub staying open late, noise was not an issue for us—even as a light sleeper, I had no trouble resting. The food was excellent, and I highly recommend the breakfast. The location is fantastic—right in the heart of Marlow, with convenient parking options nearby. Marlow itself is a stunning town, and we’re already looking forward to returning. We would definitely choose The Chequers again for our next visit!

Staff and bar offering was good. The room was decorated nicely and very comfortable bed and furniture. Excellent shower too. However the smell of damp/mould from the bathroom was a little off putting. The visible damp/mould in bathroom window area and edges of flooring needs some attention.

We stayed in room 6. The industrial kitchen extraction system is connected to the wall so it’s very noisy all day and evening until the kitchen closes. When we complained we was told Hotels.com should have told us so not the venues problem.

Stayed overnight and the check in and check out was incredibly smooth. The staff were lovely and the rooms are great. Having the nice coffee, tea and fresh milk was an added bonus.

The room itself was nice, with a decent shower and nice toiletries. The bed was comfortable but if you are going to advertise a double bed, have a double matress and not two singles. The big dip in the middle was a pain. We had a room a the back and there was a lot of noise from the room next door (when they had a shower or something at 11pm) and the walls are clearly quite thin. There was an air conditioning unit in the room which was very noisy. At 7am a generator in the pub turned on and was very loud, waking both of us up. The pub itself is nice, staff were good and food was nice.

A lovely room with comfortable bed and good amenities. Only negative is the noise, we stayed on a Friday night and the pub downstairs had live music. Wasn’t too much of a problem for us but if you’re a light sleeper it might be a challenge.

A comfortable stay. The staff were great, helpful and accommodating at all times. Noise levels were as expected for pub accommodations. The morning breakfast was very good and we recommend the Chequers Marlow for your stay.

Stayed overnight and the check in and check out was incredibly smooth. The staff were lovely and the rooms are great. Having the nice coffee, tea and fresh milk was an added bonus.

Situated in the centre of Marlow, a 2 minute walk to the river, lots of shops and bars nearby. Friendly staff and excellent service. The room was very clean and tidy, the bed really comfortable. Quite expensive but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend and will definitely stay there again.

The Chequers is obviously a very popular pub so it is nice to record that the room accommodation is quite insulated from any bar noise. We travelled by rail to Marlow so the short walk to the pub was a welcome bonus. The staff were without exception extremely polite and attentive. Congrats !

We had a wonderful stay at The Chequers. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our room was beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. Despite the pub staying open late, noise was not an issue for us—even as a light sleeper, I had no trouble resting. The food was excellent, and I highly recommend the breakfast. The location is fantastic—right in the heart of Marlow, with convenient parking options nearby. Marlow itself is a stunning town, and we’re already looking forward to returning. We would definitely choose The Chequers again for our next visit!

We very much enjoyed our recent overnight stay at the Chequers Marlow. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff were super hospitable. The weather was very rainy so we spent most of our time in the pub - such a great place to be. The evening meal was amazing - there was plenty of choice and what we received was beautifully plated and above all delicious. Thanks for the experience.

Lovely pub in the heart of the town. Restaurant options were great for vegetarians and the food was delicious. The only downside to our stay was that there was a band playing in the bar, which was directly below our bedroom. Management apologised in the morning and explained that we should have been informed on check in and offered a room at the back of the pub instead. Rooms are very well decorated and of good quality.

We really enjoyed a brief one night stay with friends. A great location in the heart of a lovely town, a good selection of ales, friendly staff who make you feel welcome, and a really enjoyable dinner. Our room was comfortable, clean and with a nice en suite bathroom, and the breakfast was really good. Would certainly return.

We where incredibly lucky as the booking had been paid for in full and therefore no refund, however to the hear when we arrived Victoria knew how hot the facilities are allowed us to change our booking. She didn’t need too but felt she did the right thing. It’s is extraordinarily hot so maybe the hotel may need to look at other cooling solutions, but for us they where fabulous
