They only had one dryer and it didn't work. Hair dryer in room was broken. Took it down to the front desk and the person working the desk acted like they were going out of their way to replace it.

The staff was very hospitable, friendly and welcoming. The facility was really clean, our room was really clean and fresh, and was cleaned even though we were only there for two nights! The only thing I would add is that we got there when it was really snowing, and the plow hadn't been through the parking lot yet which made parking between the lines of a spot challenging, as well as wheeling our suitcases in. Otherwise, it was great! I always have consistently really good service with Holiday Inn Express locations!

Definitely short staffed we waited well over 5 minutes for a staff member to show up to the front counter. Elevator was down Only gave us 2 towels (there were 4 of us) Linen on the bed had stains on it.

We arrived and checked into our room. I pulled back the blanket and found that the sheets were dirty. This room was also never vacuumed. They moved us to a second room that was supposed to be clean. This room had Cheetos in the sheets. The housekeepers clean the room but apparently do not change the sheets. I then asked to have someone come change the sheets and was told there was no one on staff to do that, but they could move me a third time after saying to me “maybe this isn’t the hotel for you. We can refund you and you can find something else.” Excuse me? I just want clean sheets!! Finally we got a room that had clean sheets. The entire time, we were lugging our luggage and 3 children all over the hotel. The pool is very small and appears much larger in the photos. I wouldn’t stay here again unfortunately.

The rooms are very well maintained. Very clean and organized. The breakfast in the morning is on point. Lastly the staff was very attentive to my family needs and very professional. A young man on the overnight shift on 27th was very kind and professional. Definitely deserve a pay increase.

I really hate writing reviews but i was very disturbed at waking up and looking at the night stand and finding baby ants (lots),on a empty pie container. I cleaned up the area and still noticed ants before i exited room. I even noticed an ant on pillow. You should spray outside. Another thing is there was no bathroom soap in Dove container in bath or shower. We took a bath with the Dove Shampo.

The bed was comfy. The heat was good. The shower was not cleaned. There was more than one piece of body hair in it. There was also trash on the floor behind the trash can underneath the bathroom sink. The toilet also ran for a very very long time to the point where I had to shut the door to maintain a quiet environment.

Upon arriving, we went to check in and were told our room wasn\'t ready yet. We arrived 1.5 hours after check-in started. I asked if we could expedite the check-in as we had a time crunch for where we needed to be (the whole reason for booking the room) and was rudely told "well we are short staffed so you just have to wait". No apology, unprofessional, and rude about it. We did get checked in about 15 min later and the room was dirty. My husband wiped up a small section of the floor that was visibly dirty with a washcloth and it came up black. We didn\'t even feel comfortable enough to shower there. I\'d steer clear and choose another hotel in the area if I were you. The cinnamon rolls in the morning are still good though. Its about the only redeeming quaility, but those are at all of the Holiday Inn Express Hotels.

Our room #107 was dirty, towels smelled bad, fridge was leaking water, and all night we could hear loud noises from level above. We have stayed at other Holiday inn express IHG in the past (ie. Dearborn, Chicago), however this location did not meet our expectations. I will request Hotel Manager to help compensate

This was one of the dirtiest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Expedia offered no help, and the resort offered no help when letting them know our room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned at all. The bed had a nasty huge stain, the shower had hair in it and residue of products all over. The bathroom floors were disgusting and dirt and other things in every corner of the room.

The room was updated. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Our TV has issues so we had no TV the first night and the desk clerk was unable to remedy. The desk clerk next day fixed it for us. Still a very nice stay

Staff were all very friendly! Room was clean! We were able to check in early. Didn’t sleep well. When the doors shut, they are loud. Had someone a floor above us stomping around every 5 minutes until midnight or later. Didn’t think to check the alarm clock, it was set for 6am..we didn’t not set it. Pool opens early which is great.great selection for breakfast!

Clean newer location. Room was comfortable. A little error was made. I had been in the room for a day and was working at the desk when another renter let herself into the room. She told me that the front desk had assigned her the room and given her a key to it. She apologized and left. I appears to have been resolved. Ooops

Curtis was amazing at check-in and very helpful when it came to dining options. The rest of the staff we encountered were also great! Everyone was friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, and you could tell that the staff took pride in their work. The beds were comfy, and the area was quite. The location was very convenient to everywhere we wanted to visit.

This is a fairly new location. Rooms were clean. Staff were very nice. Overall quiet and safe area. We even took a long walk from the hotel and felt very safe. Need more restaurants in the area. The continental breakfast was okay. Hot foods beed to ve hotter but overall it was sufficient fir a complimentary meal.

My second stay at the Holiday Inn Express Auburn Hills South. The staff/housekeepers are friendly and professional. It is a well-kept property, the lobby area/rooms/hallways are clean and well lit. The rooms are spacious and clean, though the carpet in the rooms & hallways could use a good shampooing. The property is located in a business area so it's quiet in the evenings. Look forward to staying again.

I’ve stayed at many Holiday Inn Express hotels and this was one of the worst. At check in the front desk attendant was in a personal call and rushed through the process. At 8 am the breakfast selection was wiped out and option were very limited. Poor quality overall

Satisfied with the stay. Good location for customer visits in Auburn Hills area. Room and common areas were bight and clean. Nice large bathroom and shower. Many USB charging points in the room. Service in breakfast are was excellent. The lady (May) was very attentive and she kept all the tables clean. Thank you.

Hotel and room were very clean and in good condition. TV did not work and the manager on duty had to come up and fix it. Breakfast on Saturday included cold turkey sausage. Really? However, the warm sweet cinnamon roles were perfection.

I must admit that I was surprised at how nice this hotel was. If I am ever in the area overnight again, this will be the first place I check for availability. The staff were super friendly, the breakfast bar was way better than expected (the cinnamon rolls were amazing), and the room was very nice. I was completely satisfied with my stay. Thank you.
