My room smelled so bad I awoke with a headache and checked out early. I walk with a cane & was given a second floor room. There is no elevator. I was given a first floor room after explaining that people on canes cannot carry baggage on stairs. There is no handicapped parking a stair to get on the outside ramp. The building is not ADA compliant.

It was clean. The room had adequate bathroom facilities and bed. The hallways were very dark. The entire property was very run down. The lobby area was small and uninviting. It was okay for a 2-day stay. We will not be staying there again.

Just a stay of a couple of nights to attend a conference. Basic, had some issues with accessibility (heavy/hard to unlock doors, access to ramp often blocked, high step into external after hrs entrance, very narrow tub), but generally clean and comfy, fairly quiet.

Probably (actually, easily) the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Apparently I didn't get the memo as the parking lot was practically empty and I think I and maybe one other person were the only ones staying there. I should have just turned around and left when I saw the hallway filled with dehumidifiers every 10 feet. The carpet in the hall was gross, but the really really horrible part of this hotel was the room -- it smelled, musty and disgusting. To say you should stay somewhere else is an understatement. Sleeping in your car would be an upgrade!

I’m honestly almost scared to write this before receiving my security deposit back, which I’ve literally never been charged for before? I will start with the positives: My room was clean and the AC worked really well which is important on a hot day Negatives: -upon arrival there was a staff member sitting on the front stoop arguing with someone on her cellphone? -the website I booked with said this hotel offered breakfast(which was the ONLY reason I chose it bc I have a toddler who wouldn’t want to wait to get dressed and drive first thing in the morning). When I asked front desk, they said all they offer is hot water for coffee and tea -there is no lobby, so nowhere to set your luggage down -there is no elevator. So I had to carry my 15 month old up and down several flights of stairs just to get my stuff in the room(no staff offered to help even once) -front desk staff was incredibly rude. Tried to not accept my spouses credit card when they were the one paying for me and my daughter to stay there-even though we share a last name and it was from the same account as mine(but my chip fell out so the card doesn’t work) -I literally witnessed a drug deal out by the back parking lot -I’ve stayed at cheaper hotels with none of these problems. -no one cleaned out the trash or gave me fresh towels Honestly I just wouldn’t recommend it. I loved this trip and the hotel was the only downfall.

This inn meets the minimum requirement but nothing more. It is situated in a very quiet area in the back lot of a bank building. The pace is quiet, may be too quiet for comfort. Though it is a short walk to a main street, but not feeling comfortable (too quiet) to take the walk, especially with the developing construction sites around the property. There is no breakfast provided. In room coffee machine not working. All things provided are very basic. There are restaurants across the road but it is dangerous to walk across due to heavy traffic. The AC units are far too noisy. There are plenty of space gor parking.

The first room's floor was buckled and dangerous. The mattress also smelled of urine. The second room was a little better and we did complete our stay. The floor was also buckling, but not as bad. They were not very clean either. On a good note, the staff was very nice.

The property was in rough shape. The room smelled pretty bad(mold or something)and was very beat up. The bed and bathroom were clean at least. Ive stayed at red roof inns in the past and generally they dont look like this or cost anywhere near what i paid. Had i been staying multiple days, i probably would have left.

The online view of the red roof is very different to when you actually in your room. Both the rooms we were on had a horrible smell. The bedding of the second room wasn’t clean We were disappointed

The beds were terrible. They need new mattresses on the beds. When we arrived the room smelled like cigarette smoke. The hotel is nonsmoking. We had to move to a different room, because of the smell from the cigarettes.

Note: This review in no way reflects quality of my experiences at other Red Roof properties. This is an older property that appears to have undergone a “rehab” that ran out of steam — or money — before completion. Positives: * Plumbing and heating/AC (hot water, toilet, guest-controlled room temp) work fine. * Towels were average. * Location is within walking distance of popular retail shopping, food, and entertainment (Target, Pottery Barn, Mission BarBQ, P.F.Chang, etc.). Negatives: * Thin mattress (In my opinion, the single most important factor in a hotel experience is the bed. This one was a deal-breaker.) * Room lighting was dim, creating a gloomy atmosphere. (The corner where the “desk” is placed has no task lighting). I kept the TV on to make the room brighter. * Outdated key system led to many failures/retries during a one-night stay. Very frustrating. * Hair dryer did not turn on. When I tried to check the plug at the outlet, the entire fixture fell off the wall. * Microwave did not work until I reached behind the table and discovered it was unplugged from the wall. * No carpeting in room…previous floor was replaced with vinyl plank flooring, which is great for a kitchen or laundry room, but terrible for walking around barefoot. I will say that management and service staff tried their best to respond to requests for help, but the issues they face are systemic. The overall effect is one of incompetence, malfunction, and neglect.

The “black out” curtains had tons of holes that allowed light in, the sink had a crack and a sizable hole completely through it. It was one of the most rundown and nastiest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The kicker is that while I prepaid with Hotels.com, they still have not taken the $100 deposit off my credit card and I have been charged. Beware Red Roof is a scam! Always check your credit card statements. I now have to spend time writing this review and babysitting someone to make sure I get my money back. Not my job.

This hotel makes it really hard to use through Hotels.com, the front desk staff is rude and frankly fraudulent, they tried to keep the $100 deposit (per room) for no reason what so ever, I would highly recommend avoiding this hotel like the plague

Checked in to get some sleep. Family member was at the local hospital was barely at the room an hour and had to go back to the hospital for an emergency. Was charged the nightly rate and hotel kept 100.00 security deposit. Never had that happen even at the better hilton hotels.

The hotel is in a good location for restaurants and shopping. It does need some refreshing. The best thing was the young man who was at the desk. Caesar was so helpful and a true gentleman. Loved talking to him.

Hotel room 165 had roaches. The floor was buckled. Went to front desk next morning to inform them of the roaches and even showed pictures. Requested to speak to manager, was informed manager wouldn't be in til 10am so I stated we would reach out since we woukd be gone. Called 2 different times to speak with manager and left message but have never received a response.

It is a little bit far from the downtown doctor need a car or Uber for transportation and it take around 10-15 minutes to arrive; however, it is very friendly place to stay. Also, there is shopping area in a 10 minute walking distance if you need to buy something.

This is an older economy hotel but we found it well taken care of and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We required a hotel that allowed pets (two cats) and was reasonably priced for a one week stay. This hotel fit our needs perfectly.

First room assigned had hair in the bed, second room had dirt visibly all under the of the heater. There was no drinking water available in for guest unless they are members of red roof club. I tried to purchase a water from the desk because the vending machine had none and was told I had to go to the nearest store to get water.

I had my dog with me, and was very concerned about the yellow flags all around the properties that said the area had been treated with pestisides!!!!! Also, the whole place seemed a little run down, but was clean. Was also disappointed that the "continental breakfast" was only coffee or tea ... not even toast or a bagel??!!!

It was a Red Roof Inn. A basic property with extremely pleasant staff. However, it was Boat Show weekend in Annapolis so the BASICs, a clean room with a bed, was $400! NO in room coffee. NO lotion. Microwave was not intuitive. And, if I'm going to be picky, the freezer needed defrosting. Also, the faucet took some working to make sure it didn't drip.
