The Covenstead is a most unusual and lovely place to stay in heart of Glastonbury close to the Abbey ruins. The hotel is furnished with a unique and fascinating collection of antiques and artifacts throughout, and guests have access to several common areas on the ground floor as well as a pretty garden. Individual rooms are spacious, beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The friendly staff are most welcoming and work very hard to accommodate guests needs, as well as serve breakfasts perfectly prepared to individual tastes. A truly magical place to stay!

What an amazing place. It's like walking into a movie set. Such nice people and a very good breakfast. Many extra's like use of the little kitchen upstairs, two livingrooms, a large range of tarotdecks to play with, many books to read, insence to take to your room. It makes the trip to Glastonbury really magical!

You’ll never see a more intricately themed B&B…you get transported to another place and time of magic and pagan wildness! And I can’t leave out how fun it was to meet new interesting people every morning seated at the (most incredible) dining table. Thanks to Tony, Freya, Donna, Adele for your amazing service!

Wow. Where to begin? We just spent a magical four nights in this amazing place. We felt so welcomed by the wonderful staff and enjoyed the very homey, witchy feel of the place. Didn't want to leave! The breakfast was super delicious and we very much enjoyed the garden. The other guests were fun to talk to, as the people that are drawn to this place are certainly unique. The decor is fascinating and mesmerizing. We could have spent weeks exploring it all. We cannot recommend this place more highly and we can't wait to return! Thank you Covestead and staff for the beautiful energy and amazing stay!

This place is amazing especially for the witchy minded. It is like a museum in itself and I spent an entire evening browsing and then picked a good book (over 1000 to choose from) to read. The staff are extremely friendly and the breakfast delicious. I loved my room overlooking the Abbey and the bathtub very enjoyable. If I ever return I will definitely stay here again and I’m going home with great memories. Thanks

This is a truely amazing place to stay. The decor is amazing, staff are wonderful and location is fantastic. We stayed 4 nights and loved everything about the place, breakfast is amazing (and staff super accommodating with different ‘off menu’ requests) and access to a mini kitchen also made life much easier for grabbing a coffee of storing a beer during the day :) Will absolutely be making a return visit and almost hesitant to give a good review as it may make getting a room even harder ;)

Amazing! Staff were so friendly and helpful. The property itself is actually jaw dropping. I've never stayed anywhere like it before. Will definitely be returning. The bedroom and ensuite were both huge. Very comfortable bed. Bath and separate shower was a bonus. Cooked to order breakfast was fantastic. Loads of nice touches like complimentary chilled bottles of water, sweets and snacks. Lovely space to relax both inside the house and in the garden. Free parking was also available. Overall great stay. Thanks to all the staff and to the person responsible for designing and decorating the property. Honestly amazing.

Terrific location, fascinating history and eclectic decoration - broadsword on the wall perhaps a raven on a skull. A great and enthusiastic host, with a terrific breakfast. Its a unique place - definitely not a travel lodge - but a very reasonable price for an interesting and enjoyable stay

The property is magnificent, weird, wonderful and interesting. The owner Tony was very accommodating and explained the history of the house which is really informative and intriguing. Our room was spotless and beautiful. I would highly recommend to stay here great value for money and a beautiful fascinating stay!

Covenstead is my preferred place to stay in Glastonbury. It's interior is so unique and a perfect fit for eclectic eccentricity of the town with a great back story too. The rooms spacious & comfortable with nice sized bathrooms plus daily service. Being opposite the Abbey and minutes walking to the High Street it's also a perfect location. Breakfast is unsurpassable with such great menu choices, beautiful cooking and the wonderful staff who can't be more helpful. It is worth every penny and makes any trip to Glastonbury special.

We had a wonderful stay. It was a birthday surprise for my wife. It wasn't just a night away, The Covenstead is an amazing experience with access to so many parts of the house where you can relax, read,meditate or just soak up the atmosphere. We were made to feel so very welcome and even invited to join an evening of mediumship which was another wonderful experience. The whole house is immaculate. Our room was magnificent and we enjoyed a very good breakfast too.We have already booked our next stay. Highly reccomended!

Absolutely stunning hotel, fascinating decor and wonderful location. Staff were friendly and helpful, allowed us to check in slightly before time and gave us a guided tour of the wonderful premises. Impressive rooms and welcoming staff. Even offered to use free passes to visit abbey. Wish I had more time there to savour all the artifacts amoungst the property. Didn't expect to have a view of the tor from the bedroom what a great stay.

Wonderful B&B full of fantastic curiosities and artifacts, you could spend days here and still find something new. We received a warm welcome along with our Westie on arrival and a quick tour before settling into the beautiful Handfasting bedroom with its four poster bed and huge bathroom. Such a warm comfortable space. Breakfast was plentiful and lovingly prepared. Highly recommend. Great location right on the High Street but just out from the bustle.

Affectionately called the witches place. A unique, luxury B&B in the centre of town. Individual styled bedrooms in the spirit of Glastonbury as is the whole house. Comfy beds and always sleep well. Breakfast is the best, friendly and delightful.

The Covenstead may be the very best B&B I have stayed in over 40 years and many trips to the U.K. Not only is hotel’s interior decor absolutely fascinating, its rooms are beautiful, spacious, well-appointed and very comfortable. What was unique about the property?? Pretty much everything! Loved the overall decor and vibe. It felt very much like home and I had the sense of the house being very much a sanctuary from the outside world. The staff were incredibly friendly, fun and helpful, to say nothing of the great breakfasts, that everyone raves about (quite rightly!). We loved everything about our stay and will be back!

This was by far the best experience I have ever had at a B & B. I absolutely loved everything about it. The breakfasts were excellent, the furnishings are gorgeous, the other guests were fascinating to talk with. I have never felt so comfortable and relaxed away from home. Tony is an excellent host and really made us feel well cared for. I hope to visit The Covenstead again someday. It was truly magical! There is no place like it anywhere!
This was by far the best experience I have ever had at a B & B. I absolutely loved everything about it. The breakfasts were excellent, the furnishings are gorgeous, the other guests were fascinating to talk with. I have never felt so comfortable and relaxed away from home. Tony is an excellent host and really made us feel well cared for. I hope to visit The Covenstead again someday. It was truly magical! There is no place like it anywhere!

This was an all around amazing experience! 10/10 would recommend everyone book this place if you can. Homemade breakfast cooked to order was the best we've had in all of the UK. Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable and clean. Everything you'd need and want in a stay!

Absolutely stunning hotel, fascinating decor and wonderful location. Staff were friendly and helpful, allowed us to check in slightly before time and gave us a guided tour of the wonderful premises. The room was fantastic, clean and interesting decor, the bed was soft and comfortable. Overall had a great experience and would highly recommend the covenstead.

This is a truely amazing place to stay. The decor is amazing, staff are wonderful and location is fantastic. We stayed 4 nights and loved everything about the place, breakfast is amazing (and staff super accommodating with different ‘off menu’ requests) and access to a mini kitchen also made life much easier for grabbing a coffee of storing a beer during the day :) Will absolutely be making a return visit and almost hesitant to give a good review as it may make getting a room even harder ;)

Amazing! Staff were so friendly and helpful. The property itself is actually jaw dropping. I've never stayed anywhere like it before. Will definitely be returning. The bedroom and ensuite were both huge. Very comfortable bed. Bath and separate shower was a bonus. Cooked to order breakfast was fantastic. Loads of nice touches like complimentary chilled bottles of water, sweets and snacks. Lovely space to relax both inside the house and in the garden. Free parking was also available. The Covenstead is a most unusual and lovely place to stay in heart of Glastonbury close to the Abbey ruins. The hotel is furnished with a unique and fascinating collection of antiques and artifacts throughout, and guests have access to several common areas on the ground floor as well as a pretty garden. Individual rooms are spacious, beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The friendly staff are most welcoming and work very hard to accommodate guests needs, as well as serve breakfasts perfectly prepared to individual tastes. A truly magical place to stay!

Covenstead is my preferred place to stay in Glastonbury. It's interior is so unique and a perfect fit for eclectic eccentricity of the town with a great back story too. The rooms spacious & comfortable with nice sized bathrooms plus daily service. Being opposite the Abbey and minutes walking to the High Street it's also a perfect location. Breakfast is unsurpassable with such great menu choices, beautiful cooking and the wonderful staff who can't be more helpful. It is worth every penny and makes any trip to Glastonbury special.

I was really impressed by my stay. The property was exactly as it was listed. I found the B&B very peaceful and restful. Great decor as well. There was a beautiful view of the Abbey outside of my room's window too. Everyone that worked there went out of their way to help me and were so kind. The location was great and everything was top notch.

Wonderful B&B full of fantastic curiosities and artifacts, you could spend days here and still find something new. We received a warm welcome along with our Westie on arrival and a quick tour before settling into the beautiful Handfasting bedroom with its four poster bed and huge bathroom. Such a warm comfortable space. Breakfast was plentiful and lovingly prepared. Highly recommend. Great location right on the High Street but just out from the bustle.

The welcome and hospitality was as warm and lovely as the property. This is not a bland 'chain' property but one which speaks of a life, an interest and curiosity. Our room was beautifully furnished, comfortable and warm. Breakfast was as much or as little as we wanted and the other guests made the start of the day as stimulating as you could wish. With a view across to the Abbey ruins and the center of town at the end of the road we couldn't have wished for better. Thank you

10 out of 10 for ALL the things: fastidious service, friendly staff, super cool-vibe, gorgeous rooms, best breakfast! You’ll never see a more intricately themed B&B…you get transported to another place and time of magic and pagan wildness! Terrific location, fascinating history and eclectic decoration - broadsword on the wall perhaps a raven on a skull. A great and enthusiastic host, with a terrific breakfast. Its a unique place - definitely not a travel lodge - but a very reasonable price for an interesting and enjoyable stay
