Casa Donna Rosa is the place to stay❣️. The room was beautiful, the grounds exceptional and Carlos is Host Supreme. He made us feel so welcomed and provided a delicious breakfast each day. And he recommended activities which were reasonable in price and so thrilling. Lifetime memories are ours thanks to Carlos and Casa Donna Rosa.

My favorite property in Costa Rica! Will exceed all your expectations. Room and bed were extremely comfortable. Lots of amenities. Breakfast was personal and incredibly amazing. So nice to watch the birds every morning. Great deck to sit, swing and relax. Host helped with recommending and booking local attractions. If I’m ever back I will make sure to stay again!

We stayed in the new Royal Coop. This place is AWESOME. The owner is great, the breakfasts he makes are UNBELIEVABLE, varied, beautiful, delicious. The lake is a short drive or reasonable walk away and is free, not at all crowded, and a delight to swim. But the most incredible feature is the Coop itself - more like a free-standing deluxe and superbly designed bird watching experience. Sit on the shaded deck and observe- and hear- birds ranging from numerous species of hummingbirds to groups of very friendly and social turkey vultures, toucans, oropedolas, magpie jays, laughing falcons, and scores of others. Wake with the roosters and you’ve got a good chance of seeing the sun rise behind the Arenal Volcano. We loved this place.

I can say enough about how wonderful this property is. Werner and Carlos are fantastic hosts who were knowledgeable about everything in the area. They helped us make reservations and pointed us in the direction of great places. The room was large and comfortable with a large soaking tub and rain shower. The deck had a beautiful view,nice pool and visiting toucans. The breakfast made by Carlos was 5 star worthy!! I highly recommend this property!

A mi-chemin entre le volcan Arenal et Tenorio, c’est un bon compromis. Il y a 2 chambres à l’étage avec terrasse et vue sur les montagnes et 2 chambres au rdc en face de la maison principale. Petite piscine sur une belle terrasse. Place de parking gratuite. Si les propriétaires ne sont pas là, sonner et ils vont parleront via l’interphone à distance pour vous donner le digicode. Nous avons été très bien reçu. Petit déjeuner possible. Chambre « premier » moderne, très confortable et propre. Tres bonne connexion wifi. 2 grands lits, cuisine totalement équipée avec frigo, climatisation, moustiquaires aux fenêtres, salles de douche avec produits et serviettes. Tout petit centre ville : nous avons été bien reçu et bien mangé au Soda Mayi’s. Sinon il y a le restaurant Moya´s place qui semble bien.

Our hosts at Casa Donna could not have been more helpful and accommodating! Prior to arrival they helped us plan the perfect activities based on our interests to maximize our time in the area. Their in depth knowledge made our trip amazing. They handled all the reservations suggested restaurants and made everything easy. As most other reviewers mentioned, the breakfasts were outstanding. Our family of 5 enjoyed every single one. And the birds on the property were spectacular which was an added bonus. Thank you Casa Donna for making our trip a memorable one!

Warner and carlos are fantastic!! They greet you as soon as you arrive. They offer great information for any sight seeing you may be interested in doing and they will email or phone companys to assist with reservations for tours. The breakfast that is included with your stay is delicious and you get to watch all kinds of birds for your entertainment. Our room was absolutely beautiful with a rainfall shower, soaker tub, and the views from the balcony are breathtaking! You won't find a better place to stay in the area

This is a great place for a night stay, we had a Saturday with bad luck of a fiesta until 2 a.m. in a large rec center close by. But the rooms are clean, new, everything you need, very well stocked, with a pool, nice balcony, swings, and breakfast is to die for. These owners really know how to lay it on you and help make your trip great with good advice.

Carlos und Werner sind sehr aufmerksame Gastgeber, die jederzeit ansprechbar sind für ihre Gäste und ihnen bei Bedarf jegliche individuelle Unterstützung anbieten. Die Zimmer sind mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und sehr komfortabel. Wir haben selten so gut geschlafen und uns so wohl gefühlt in einem Gästezimmer. Morgens wird man mit einem Gourmetfrühstück verwöhnt. Einfach ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt und für uns in Nuevo Arenal die erste Wahl!

I stayed a week at this bnb and immediately felt welcomed by Carlos and Werner and noticed the cleanliness and details of their home. The service was excellent and they both were friendly and provided great recommendations of places to eat and check out. Adding the daily breakfast to my stay was a bonus and I was never disappointed with the delicious dishes that Carlos made. This bnb felt very comfortable homey and was exactly what I needed for my last week in Costa Rica.I would absolutely recommend and stay again next time I visit!

Carlos & Warner were amazing hosts! So many good things to say about the environment, cleanliness, the breakfast every morning was wonderful! They were able to give us great information regarding where to go , what to see & even go as far as telling us which routes to take that were better! They gave us great information on places to go eat and suggested certain ones that would work for us throughout each day! The natural wildlife was everywhere on their property, which was such a joy to see! Can’t say enough good things about our whole experience there.
Carlos & Warner were amazing hosts! So many good things to say about the environment, cleanliness, the breakfast every morning was wonderful! I had an amazing time. The owners were lovely and so helpful with telling me where to go and what to see. They went above and beyond. The room was beautiful and clean and there was a wonderful balcony where I could sit outside and enjoy the breeze. I recommend getting the breakfast too because the food was amazing!

We had an amazing stay here. The property is beautiful, very comfortable and clean rooms with all the amenities, breakfast was delicious and the hosts were very kind and welcoming providing lots of great suggestions and help with things to do in the area. Definitely would recommend staying here!

My husband and I stayed in the wonderful Royal Coop Suite at the Casa Donna Rosa Bed and Breakfast. We felt like royalty between the stunning accommodations and the attentive host. They were very accommodating to my dietary restrictions but also made delicious breakfast for my husband. To top it off they provided bananas to attract tropical birds to the porch of our room. Carlos and Werner know how to do things right.

Casa Donna Rosa’s hosts are amazing, the property is beautiful and our king size villa was great. Comfy bed, tastefully decorated room and the shower was excellent. The huge balcony had a table, arm chairs and a kitchenette. All very comfortable. The breakfast every morning was the cherry on top as Carlos is a creative and talented chef. Don’t miss it! In addition, they provided excellent and detailed advice on attractions nearby going as far as making the reservations for us. I would not doubt in staying here again and really hope we have the opportunity to do it in the future.

Our family loved being hosted by Werner und Carlos. We found ourselves in a jam with unexpectedly having to vacate a reservation elsewhere and luckily found their family room that accommodated the 5 of us absolutely perfect. Our family loved being hosted by Werner und Carlos. We found ourselves in a jam with unexpectedly having to vacate a reservation elsewhere and luckily found their family room that accommodated the 5 of us absolutely perfect. They offer great information for any sight seeing you may be interested in doing and they will email or phone companys to assist with reservations for tours. The breakfast that is included with your stay is delicious and you get to watch all kinds of birds for your entertainment. This was such a wonderful place to stay while visiting the La Fortuna area. Breakfast was delicious and the hosts were so friendly and accommodating. My husband and I stayed in the wonderful Royal Coop Suite at the Casa Donna Rosa Bed and Breakfast. We felt like royalty between the stunning accommodations and the attentive host. They were very accommodating to my dietary restrictions but also made delicious breakfast for my husband. To top it off they provided bananas to attract tropical birds to the porch of our room. Carlos and Werner know how to do things right.

Casa Donna Rosa’s hosts are amazing, the property is beautiful and our king size villa was great. Comfy bed, tastefully decorated room and the shower was excellent. The huge balcony had a table, arm chairs and a kitchenette. All very comfortable. The breakfast every morning was the cherry on top as Carlos is a creative and talented chef. Don’t miss it! In addition, they provided excellent and detailed advice on attractions nearby going as far as making the reservations for us. I would not doubt in staying here again and really hope we have the opportunity to do it in the future.

Our hosts at Casa Donna could not have been more helpful and accommodating! Prior to arrival they helped us plan the perfect activities based on our interests to maximize our time in the area. Their in depth knowledge made our trip amazing. They handled all the reservations suggested restaurants and made everything easy. As most other reviewers mentioned, the breakfasts were outstanding. We stayed in the new Royal Coop. This place is AWESOME. The owner is great, the breakfasts he makes are UNBELIEVABLE, varied, beautiful, delicious. The lake is a short drive or reasonable walk away and is free, not at all crowded, and a delight to swim. But the most incredible feature is the Coop itself - more like a free-standing deluxe and superbly designed bird watching experience. Sit on the shaded deck and observe- and hear- birds ranging from numerous species of hummingbirds to groups of very friendly and social turkey vultures, toucans, oropedolas, magpie jays, laughing falcons, and scores of others. Wake with the roosters and you’ve got a good chance of seeing the sun rise behind the Arenal Volcano. We loved this place.

Tres bonne connexion wifi. 2 grands lits, cuisine totalement équipée avec frigo, climatisation, moustiquaires aux fenêtres, salles de douche avec produits et serviettes. Tout petit centre ville : nous avons été bien reçu et bien mangé au Soda Mayi’s. Sinon il y a le restaurant Moya´s place qui semble bien.

This is a great place for a night stay, we had a Saturday with bad luck of a fiesta until 2 a.m. in a large rec center close by. But the rooms are clean, new, everything you need, very well stocked, with a pool, nice balcony, swings, and breakfast is to die for. These owners really know how to lay it on you and help make your trip great with good advice.

My favorite property in Costa Rica! Will exceed all your expectations. Room and bed were extremely comfortable. Lots of amenities. Breakfast was personal and incredibly amazing. So nice to watch the birds every morning. Great deck to sit, swing and relax. Host helped with recommending and booking local attractions. If I’m ever back I will make sure to stay again!

I can say enough about how wonderful this property is. Werner and Carlos are fantastic hosts who were knowledgeable about everything in the area. They helped us make reservations and pointed us in the direction of great places. The room was large and comfortable with a large soaking tub and rain shower. The deck had a beautiful view,nice pool and visiting toucans. The breakfast made by Carlos was 5 star worthy!! I highly recommend this property!

You don't stay in Arenal for the area around the B&Bs. You go to Arenal because it's funky and quiet and friendly . We return to Casa Donna Rosa for the welcoming owners and most of all for the fantastic breakfast preparations. I have only been gone one day and I miss their breakfasts already. Home baked Challah in think hunks with baked crisp finish the their french toast...yumm even before you try adding the smear of preserves. Great Costa Rican coffee is served with pots of wam milk.

Casa Donna Rosa was an incredibly peaceful and rejuvenating retreat. Each morning, we enjoyed feeding the birds from our porch with fresh bananas thoughtfully provided by our hosts, Carlos and Werner—a simple ritual that quickly became a highlight of our stay. Carlos and Werner were exceptionally gracious and attentive, always ensuring we felt welcome and well cared for. Every morning they prepared a delicious, homemade breakfast and offered wonderful recommendations for exploring the area, which made our experience even more memorable. We left feeling refreshed and grateful—and we truly hope to return someday.
