The good news: 1. Great location. 2. Beautiful old building. 3. INCREDIBLE service from the front desk staff -- Kaeman, Lucia, and Emila all deserve specific recognition for helping rescue what otherwise would have been a 1/5 review. The bad news: 1. Rooms dusty. 2. Room(s) in partial disrepair -- we had to move from one to another because of a broken panel in the shower that was threatening to collapse. 3. Air conditioning in the second room went off automatically every few hours -- including in the middle of the night, when it was not possible to reset it manually to the desired temperature -- meaning we roasted at night given the hot weather. 4. On the first night, the cleaners stopped halfway through the room and we had to tell the front desk to send them back to finish. 5. On subsequent nights, the cleaners failed to clean and replace coffee mugs, coffee capsules, sugar, etc. -- seems like there is no systemic plan, checklist, or perhaps appropriate training. Bottom line -- would not stay here again. Maybe IHG should not have licensed this property to a third-party entity to operate and maintain! As is, this hotel is barely worthy of three stars, NOT the four it claims.

Great hotel, right in the heart of things in The Hague. We were only there for one night but it was a very comfortable evening. The hotel is lovely inside; very nicely decorated and well maintained. Only downside was a lack of a gym.

Excellent location. Rooms are small but completely charming, as is the neighborhood. Staff was absolutely wonderful and the stay felt very personal, as if I was a house guest. I highly recommend this hotel if you want a boutique experience.
