AC Hotel by Marriott New York Times Square

Clean facilities, nice rooftop bar, and friendly staff!

Someone was smoking near my room and it was all sucked in by the vent. I had to keep the window open to not suffocate. But because of the open window, I went nearly deaf because my window was near AC vents and it was so extremely loud, I could not sleep. So I couldn’t sleep because of the smoke and the noises. Plus the ice machine did not work on any of the floors. They had a nice rooftop lounge but of the 3 nights I was there, it was closed on two because of some private party. They didn’t even have limited seating for the hotel patrons. The street level restaurant was OK but it did not have a nice outdoor area. Shower had some hair from the previous guest too. I was there on business and generally too tired to make a fuss late at night.

Very nice and clean property! Entire staff is awesome! Very professional, courteous, friendly and service oriented! Right on Time Square so lots of options in all aspects! They also have a partnership with near by Parking facility which was pretty convenient.

This is a lovely hotel in a very convenient location to Times Square and the theater district. The staff was extremely nice and allowed us to check in a bit early. The rooftop bar was beautiful and we enjoyed their Happy Hour. Our room was small but very nice. We would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was very convenient, and the staff very personable. They were quick to assist. The room was big enough for 2 people in the 2 bed double. The rooftop bar had good drinks, good, vibe and you overlook the empire state building beautiful.

The staff was so wonderful. From checkin to check out they were so nice, especially to our son. The room was tight, but served the purpose. The shower was very nice. The only downside was we were told at check in that there was breakfast service starting at 6am. We came down around 630 to find out the breakfast staff didn’t show up. Luckily, there was a bagel shop right next door that was open and had great food. Overall I would absolutely come back. Conveniently located, clean and reasonably priced.

We were greeted by the staff immediately and offered candy by the doorman. io checked us in and was amazing and so kind. Davon really was the most amazing staff member though. We had a hiccup in our schedule and he arranged things for us and was so full of energy. The whole staff was full of energy and so friendly every time we saw them. The hotel was 4.5 blocks from the theatre we were going to, less than a 10 minute walk to Time Square. If you plan on staying in the theatre district and Time Square, this is the hotel for sure. Kiss my slice is right next door and the pizza is great, affordable and staff awesome. Kung Fu Kitchen right around the corner was amazing as well. Only two complaints (and they aren't even a deal breaker) is the elevator situation was pretty rough. Constantly waiting and jerkiness of the elevator. That being said, they did have signs up saying there would only be one elevator starting March 6 for maintenance of the other two, so maybe it'll be better after. Second thing, I wouldn't recommend paying for the City View. It's not what you're picturing and we kept the blinds down most of the visit anyway since we didn't want to watch people working at their desks. But we would totally stay in one of their simpler rooms hands down. You're missing out by not staying here.

The place has a great location near to time square quiet area, the restaurant is great, room are clean and comfortable beds. They have a top roof bar. Best pizza in new york is about 5 min walk.

Great location and staff helpful. Downside is that guests get no priority in the restaurants. When we arrived one was booked out for a private event and the other had a 90 minute waiting time!

Convenient location and a nice place however seems to have gone down hill a bit since March. Room had dust bunnies, window blind was kind of busted and hallway lights didn’t work. But, staff is very nice and bed quite comfy!

Great hotel clean!

I stayed 5 days, the accommodation was very dusty.

Great location, excellent staff, very friendly. Crumbs in bed was a concern about clean sheets. Walking over garbage on sidewalks ( not hotel’s fault but I guess that’s New York

The check in process was very quick and easy. Lobby was clean and room was clean. The room was perfect for myself and my husband. The bed was comfortable and restroom/ shower was very clean.

Clean and great central location

We checked in the day ahead with our arrival time, but the room was still not ready. We were offered a complimentary snack from their lobby while we waited and after waiting in the lobby (there was trash all around the seating area) for 20 minutes we were given a room. When they brought our luggage, he told us that there was an issue with the shower door and they were going to be sending an engineer up to work on it. The engineer was polite and said everything was good, however the shower door did not close all the way and sat crooked during our entire stay. There was only 1 of each towel in our room, and since there were two of us, we asked for another set; the front desk said they would bring them up shortly. 5 hours later they had not been dropped off, so we went down to get them ourselves. The next afternoon someone knocked on the door unexpectedly and handed us the towels explaining that they had forgotten. There was a cart full of bedsheets in the hallway that didn\'t move the entire 5 days we were there. Overall this hotel just wasn\'t worth the price in our opinion. The rooms were "cold" feeling (not temperature, but not cozy), poorly lit, and dusty. The room may once have been sleek, but showed a lot of wear and tear. Positives were that every actual staff interaction we had was top-notch-- all were very professional and friendly. The lobby smelled lovely and the location is good and very walkable.

The hotel is really great location and we liked everything about rooms comfort, design and even feels a little bit more spacious than others. Our main problem was that our room was on the second floor and it was slightly connected by a half inch crack to the other room, which made it so that we could hear every conversation they were having, every laugh, every intimate relation etc and it was very loud when they got home in the middle of the night and also up early.

Nice room. The noise level near elevator wasn’t great. Nice location and room was nice overall. Simple and small which is handy for a quick stay.

This was such a wonderful hotel. We were only supposed to stay in New York 4 days and we decided to stay one extra day. We looked and called many hotels. They do not hold a ridiculous amount of money for a “hold” so that’s what led us here. We also had no where to take our luggage since we left the old hotel we were staying at. Even though booking was at 4 they let us have our room at 12!!!! The front desk was so nice and accommodating. Like 100 stars!!!! P.s. you’re not “New York living” in this hotel. What I mean is, these rooms are SPACIOUS.

My overall stay was good. The rooms were clean, the customer service was great, and the location was perfect. The only hiccup was the room size. The rooms are small and the beds were even smaller. I expected bigger beds, especially for the cost.

The staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the city. The room was very clean. I recommend asking for a higher floor if you don't like noise. We were on a lower floor so we could hear a lot of the city noise at night. I will definitely stay there on my next visit to new York.

This property was comfortable and clean and conveniently located. The only downside was that the blind in our room was tattered and torn.

Clean , nice and big room

The hotel and room were very nice and clean. The hotel staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were very noisy- sleep was difficult because of how much noise you could hear through the walls. We put YouTube on with sleep sounds to block it out.

The check in process was very quick and easy. Lobby was clean and room was clean. The room was perfect for myself and my husband. The bed was comfortable and restroom/ shower was very clean.

Great location, staff was awesome the entire time. I could text them to bring things to our room and they would come by in just a few minutes. It was amazing service all around! The bellhop was also really amazing and helpful!

Got yelled at by staff for him not given us the baggage ticket. Don't blame the guest for your not doing your job!!

Check in went smooth. The very first person we encounter during our stay was Ricardo! We were welcomed in and instantly felt that we had mad a great choice. Ricardo was very polite and super professional. We literally loved his personality, as we hoped to see him every day of our stay! During check in I did encounter a slight bit of what I felt at the time was rude behavior by the young lady checking us in. However, I did address what I felt and received the most warming and sincere apology from the young lady. I was very impressed and felt as if the staff genuinely cares about their guests. I received a text everyday just checking to see how our stay was going from Sasha. That was a plus. The hotel is beautiful, looks just like the pictures. Room surprisingly larger than what we expected from a New York hotel room. Our room 407 was extremely clean and had everything we needed including a fridge and microwave. Hotel is within walking distance to almost everything. We walked to the Marquis Theater to our Broadway show, Sugar Factory, Times Square etc. The only complaint that I had during my stay is the people just hanging around outside close to the hotel which isn’t the hotels fault. I would recommend this property. We will be staying again on our next visit to New York! Don’t hesitate to book your stay.

Staff was extremely helpful with my elderly mother. Couldn’t believe how nice these New Yorkers treated my family. Ricardo and Joshua went out of their way to provide exceptional service. We will be back!

We stayed 4 nights at AC Marriott Times Square in July 2024. We were greeted and helped by Ricardo every morning from the very beginning and he would suggest where to go as well as arrange our transportation needs. His friendly and cheerful demeanour made us feel so warm and welcomed. The hotel is convenient, clean and all needed amenities are provided—we appreciated the complimentary bottles of water on the way in and out of the lobby. The property is wonderful but what made our stay a plus was Ricardo. We even took a picture with him when we left on the last day. Thank you!

The staff were absolutely amazing at this hotel. They went above and beyond and were so kind and helpful. I can’t recommend them enough.

We stayed at the AC Times Square for 5 nights on a holiday to celebrate my fiancée’s 30th birthday. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome and special. The lobby and front desk staff were all so helpful, kind and entertaining and made us feel so welcome. They let us check in early so we could get our bags into the room and get out exploring, they also arranged a late check out at no extra cost which was so helpful as it suited our timings to get to JFK perfectly. The hotel has an excellent location, very walkable to all the big Midtown attractions and there is a subway station right on the street corner to get you anywhere in the city. It’s a short walk/taxi from Penn Station which made getting to the hotel from JFK so easy. The rooms, lobby and bar are modern and stylish. The room surprised us at how big it was for New York, everything was new and to a high standard and spotlessly clean. We went to the rooftop bar once for happy hour which was excellent value. The cocktails were delicious and the view was incredible. I have already recommended the AC to friends and would definitely stay here again if back in New York.

My family and I always prefer to stay at AC hotels. The AC located in Times Square NYC was clean, comfortable, good water pressure, air conditioner worked good, elevator was not congested with foot traffic, modern design/decor, conveniently located/walkable to restaurants and subway. The staff at the Times Square location made every difference in our trip. They were so helpful, professional, pleasant, accommodating and provided us with excellent service. I especially remember Simone but all the staff that worked front desk and lobby from 8/4 to 8/7 provided us with excellent service and TLC!

Room was not ready at check-in then they were knocking on our room door before the stated checkout time asking when we were leaving

We stayed for 4 nights and found the location to be very convenient. It was not directly at Times Square, but blocks away which was great for evenings. Lots of subway stations nearby. It was clean and comfortable, though be very clear about cleaning schedules. We were told our room would be cleaned every other day and it was cleaned once during our stay. Our toilet plugged during every flush and the sink drain was very slow, which was frustrating for a family staying there. They were quick to resolved it each time but it continued to happen. Would stay again!

Hotel is good area around is dirty

This hotel is great! The staff at the hotel are amazing. They are so helpful with suggestions. The ice cold water waiting in the lobby was also wonderful. Rooms were spacious by Manhattan standards and beds were comfortable. It is very close to the subway. The only negative remark I would say is that down the street is a weed shop and a lot of people like to stand by the store and smoke. The smell is very strong. We felt very safe and comfortable for our entire week there!

This hotel is "fair" I did not feel like I was staying at a hotel which charged as much as it did. I felt like I was at a "Day Inn plus". This Hotel has lots to do to make up for the fact that there is no view and it is located off the main strip. Feels like you are in the middle of an industrail street. I was very very disappointed this is NOT a LUXURY hotel for the rates being charged -- they fall well below expectation (There is no microwave in every room) we had to call the front desk to be told the few they had was in use. "how was I to heat up my food?\' response "I don\'t know what to tell you". I would recommend staying somewhere else unless this place LOWER the rates. You DO NOT GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR HERE.

The property is very well kept and in a good location in Times Square. Would highly recommend

The location was perfect close to time square

This was the perfect hotel for our three day stay in New York. Although the rooms are not huge they are well appointed and four of us were more than comfortable. Hotel staff are welcoming and professional, hotel itself is in great shape. The best part was the proximity to so many of the things we wanted to do- 10-20 minute walk to Times Square, Rockefeller Center, the Empire State Building, Broadway shows, Circle Line Cruises, Central Park, etc....the nearby subway station got us easily to sites that were further away. The bagel shop next door was perfect each morning as it has a variety of options from bagel sandwiches to açaí bowls and hot breakfasts. Plenty of good restaurants nearby. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Very close to Times Square

Great location, within walking distance to all the major points on Times Square, many options to eat right outside the hotel door. The room was really clean and the overall of the hotel was super clean and great environment. We loved the roof top lounge and the front desk staff was always helpful and courteous. We used the subway quite a bit to transport to other areas like Central Park, Battery Park and the Trade Center. It was really convenient to have the subway entrances so close to the hotel.

We stayed here for two nights. We really liked the property. The staff was awesome. Very centrally located to what New York has to offer. The only downside was the restaurant was expensive and very small portions of food that were very delicious but very small and very expensive. the concierge was awesome.

The location was perfect. The Hotel was very clean and always offered to accommodate any needs. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I am an early riser so I like to sneak out & get coffee in the lobby-I had to pay for it. That was a first for me.

The staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming. I only stayed for 1 night, but would definitely stay again. It was perfect for a staycation! The rooftop bar was very convenient albeit a little expensive (but it’s NYC).

Gigi, Josh and the rest of the staff were so very pleasant! Gigi is definitely as the young people say "main character" energy, such a delightful young lady. Good job AC hotel on staffing. The restaurant on the upper level was also very excellent.

Everyone is so friendly. Hotel is clean, centrally located. Would like additional mirror for make up application. Also could not purchase a bar drink to bring to our room, a food purchase was necessary.
