We love Citizen M! The rooms are small but laid out much better than most city hotels. The amenities, the tablets, the ironing area and the lower lobby all make it fun and enjoyable. The hotel is extremely clean, beds are really comfy and the views are always a highlight. Self check in and check out, all through the app, are really easy but the staff is always there to help. If you like bathroom privacy take turns, it's basically part of the room with a partition. Location is excellent, easy to public transport, and walking to East Village, Chinatown, Little Italy, SOHO and West Village if you don't mind a few miles.

The decor, lighting and compact but comfortable room were impressive. The bed was very comfortable. Could have used more USB charging spots in the room. Like the use of an IPAD to control the setting. Had fun changing the colors in the room! Couldn't figure out how to turn on the heat light in the shower; guy at front desk couldn't help me. Other than construction and scaffolding at the entrance, the decor was nice. Good selection of food at the bar and rooftop area. AMAZING view of the city from the bar. Overall, kinda pricey but if I have the money, I'd stay here again.

Great hotel with amazing public spaces - specifically the lobby, cafe/bar, and the rooftop patio/bar. The rooms are small (think cruise ship cabin) and can really only accommodate two people (who really like each other). But the hotel is in a great location with excellent views from the higher floors, attentive and friendly staff and convenient amenities.

LOVE this hotel! Stayed for three nights and couldn’t be more happy that I decided on this place. I was a little skeptical when I seen the size of the rooms when booking but like many other reviews stated it was highly efficient. It was, modern, unique, clean, bed was SO comfy and the view was incredible! Front desk staff was amazing as well! I I wish I remembered the girls name with curly brown hair I think it may have started with a C but she was the BEST along with Yaya (Hope I spelled that right) also the two gentleman that helped suggest some restaurants. Literally everyone was great from the moment we got there. The rooftop lounge had absolutely phenomenal views of the city. Lots of great dining and shopping nearby also nightlife. Subway station just around the corner which was super convenient. Just a five minute walk to Chinatown and little Italy as well as soho. This was a great area to stay. They have a location in Times Square as well if you’re looking to stay in that area. I didn’t eat on property but did get a great hazelnut iced latte from the lower level lounge. Highly recommend this hotel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Really great location in Soho and easy to get anywhere in the city. The room was nothing special, but did the job. Great if you're not planning on spending any time in your room, which you shouldn't because you're in NYC. One thing that was a little odd was the entire room was controlled using an iPad and the iPad was very slow. I ended up downloading the CitizenM app of my phone to control the room instead. Also there weren't many charming outlets or options for charging like a lot of other hotels have these days. Also breakfast was lack lust for $21.

The rooms are just shockingly small, it’s one of those things where if you don’t catch the square footage in the booking, you’ll probably be disappointed if you didn’t do it on purpose. These are meaningly smaller than a college dorm, the rest of the properties fantastic you would just want to be prepared for an amazingly small total space not Made for two people certainly.

I gave this hotel an excellent: the staff was so nice and helpful and the room was immaculately clean. BUT: What people need to know is that the room is tiny. The toilet/shower combo is directly in the room, next to the bed, with zero privacy as it is echoey. You can hear everything going on in the bathroom. The king bed is stationary against the wall so a companion will have to climb over whoever is on the opposite side. There are no luggage racks. We stayed for 2 days and had a small wheeled carryon and a Beis weekend bag...if we were there for a week with large suitcases it would not be manageable. What we had for luggage barely fit. I understand that when on a vacation not much time is spent in the room, but the time spent in the room should not be in cramped quarters with no bathroom privacy. I did like the hotel, but would stay somewhere else next time. The location was great. This hotel is best suited for the solo traveller or someone you are extremely familiar and comfortable with.

We chose it specifically for the location and proximity to Bowery Ballroom. It was the smallest hotel room I’ve ever had, including Europe. It felt like being in a cruise ship room. You absolutely need to make sure you’re SUPER comfortable with your travel companion, because there is virtually no privacy. “Bathroom” sink is in your room; shower is just on the other side of the main part of the room. No fan to mask smells and sounds from the toilet. And whoever is sleeping on the far side of the bed needs to crawl over the other person. And it was $300!!! On the bright side, it was extremely clean and had a fun, quirky vibe.

Stay was great. Amazing hotel in a really great part of town. Restaurants galore. I had booked a panoramic view room. While not entirely sure what separates that from the standard room, I was placed on the top floor with a phenomenal view of the entire tribeca and financial district areas. Made for great sunset views while relaxing after a long day of walking. Would definitely stay again

I can’t get used to how cramped the rooms are these days. The bed right next to the window that you can’t open for fresh air makes me claustrophobic and uncomfortable. Nothing worked electronically in the room and it turned out my iPad (which controls literally everything) was broken. I called down to the front desk at 11:30 pm and a nice lady named Vanessa came up and spent some time fixing the issues while I hung out in my jammies. She literally saved my stay because at that point, I was out of there! She comped me breakfast the following day for my trouble which was nice because it was a good buffet! I liked how I could purchase just parts of the buffet over the following days because I can’t eat that much food and end up wasting money and food. This hotel is a good value compared to those in the same general area. Just be prepared for the rooms to be extremely cramped like you’re in Europe! Oh and they’re under construction, which would’ve appreciated being alerted to.

The hotel was great, everything inside amazing and clean and fun and everyone was awesome to work with. The only issue we had was the homeless population immediately outside the hotel. We literally had to step over people to get to the uber. There are building repairs to the building next door and there is scaffolding at CitizenM so there is a heavy homeless population staying there.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was clean and had a great atmosphere. The area is conveniently near a ton of desirable areas but not the extremely touristy Wild West atmosphere like Times Square. 100% will stay here again when we visit manhattan

Great location for LES, Nojo, nolito and SoHo. Also easy walk to greenwhich village. Hotel is clean, friendly, staff are helpful. Rooms are small but just fine for 2 people. I like the use of tech for operating the windows, lights and media. Love how they use the space so thoughtfully and efficiently. This is our second stay with this company at two different locations and both were great experiences. We will continue to return.

Great location - I loved the giant king bed nook & that I had a city view to look straight westward. Every staff person I encountered was a gem. The in-room ipad controls were.... kind of fun? I kept a subtle red glow on all night. I was on the 11th floor but the Bowery noise was pretty minimal. Would definitely stay here again.

This place is amazing. You will not be disappointed!! Everything in the room is controlled by a tablet. The lighting is adjustable by color and brightness . When you arrive you choose what type of view you would prefer to enjoy. Very cool art throughout the hotel. They have night security . All of the bars are amazing however the rooftop one has stunning city views. The staff ... sumply amazing ... first if all every single member i encountered i asked how long they had been working there. They had all been there between 7 and 3 years. That says a lot about the company itself !! I have never stayed at a hotel where the the newest employee i encountered had been there 3 years !! Usually hotel employees dont last a year !! The breakfast was very tasty!! Real eggs not soy eggs, pan roasted cherry tomatoes , chicken sausage, bacon , greek yogurt with every kind of topping you could imagine , locs, turkey, cheese , any type of coffee, tea, espresso you can think of , fresh OJ , any type of milk.

Great location very cool and edgy. Mid breakfast. Gluten free bread inedible. Should have roof terrace open as advertised as it is a main reason to stay and it was shut when we wanted to use it because of staff shortages. Staff could be more friendly.

Hotel is great but breakfast is like a zoo. Lots of laptop warriors and I think a lot of local students in main area. I tried twice to get breakfast but wasn’t able to find a table either time. As a result I wouldnt stay again which is a shame as super nice building and great staff.

Small but mighty- served its purpose for a work trip. Great location for getting around - clean - great staff. Rooms are small but bed and pillows are so comfortable. Roooftop bar is an amazing experience however drinks are very small and overpriced. Canteen M has amazing coffee and service. Dislike: wish hot water was hotter - door on shower opened in so door gets wet every time and makes a mess. Not a lot of storage area. Wish the fridge was larger - did not know that downstairs had a microwave until last day.

Great location within walking distance of restaurants and subway. The rooftop bar is spectacular with delicious craft cocktails. Only suggestion would be to have coffee in the rooms. While the coffee bar downstairs is very nice…it was inconvenient for those who prefer coffee upon waking up.

We had a great stay. Great location, room was very clean. Great drinks, coffee, and comfy couches. Roof top bar had amazing views. Rooms are super small, which isn’t unusual for NYC but I wasn’t prepared for climbing over my partner to get to the restroom at 2am. ;-)
