Property on main road with restaurants, gas etc nearby. Standard motel, however, has a nice pool.

This property has a beautiful swimming pool outdoors. The Landscaping is beautiful as well. A convenient place to stay.

A nice hidden gem that did not disappoint. Perfect location for purpose of trip. I’d stay again to see how the pool is in summer.

The hotel is very lovely. The pool area is also very comfortable and relaxing.

The Inn was conveniently located right off Rt. 9 and close to an event we attended at the Waterfront. The property looked and smelled clean and the lobby was fairly updated. We appreciated the Keurig machine in the alcove. Parking was easy and plentiful. Our queen room was quite small, and the bathroom was difficult to move around in. The faucet for both the shower and sink were old, as was the physical key and chain lock on the door.

For a last minute spontaneous Labor day trip. This place is a little gem. Great rooms with the essentials and we were right off by the pool. Definitely a great little find with a decent price for the stay.

Rooms were immaculate, beds comfortable and quiet surroundings. Nice seating outside the room. Pool area was well kept. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice stay. Convenient to restaurants and shopping. Had to climb stairs to 2nd floor however, no elevator. Could be a problem for some people.

The staff was lovely and the room was clean. The pool is super nice. The main issue is that the rooms are very musty. Our room had a damp raid water bag almost filled up. The hotel might benefit from a dehumidifier.

Tub was very dirty, room was outdated, carpeting was stained and dirty, no deadbolt lock on room door or balcony door, smelled like an ashtray.

We left the hotel because it's inundated with mold, and my wife is allergic to mold spores. Putting down new ceramic tile and refreshing the bathrooms is nice for sales pictures, but it doesn't fix core problems with this property. I feel this property was falsely advertised on the Expedia site. Thus, it is a misrepresentation of the property, as well as failure to disclose specific information about the property. The pictures and description were designed to mislead potential customers that this was a modern hotel, when it in fact is a 40 year old motel with serious mold problems. It's in the back of a parking lot behind a strip mall with Sonny's Recycling behind it. Really classy. The building is built on a slab on the ground, not elevated, with no venting, in an area where the water table is shallow, so mold is constantly an issue. I asked the desk clerk to see the room before I signed the hotel card, and she showed me three rooms, and each room reeked of mold. When I complained about it, she said, "I don't know what to tell you, it's an old motel, sir." All three rooms reeked of mold, and one also smelled like cigarette smoke. My wife found a bug crawling on the pillow case in the last room, 120. I killed it and left it on the table between the beds. The desk clerk took her phone to the room to take a picture of it. Run, run as fast as you can. There is a new Holiday Inn not far away, go there!

It was clean. The staff was pleasant. There was one thing that was not great and it was the smell. The air conditioner had a mildew/mold smell and also the bathroom had the same smell. Not sure if the ac could be cleaned or what but that was my biggest gripe.

My shower had very very weak water pressure and it took me and my wife a half hour each to take a shower. The faucet to turn on the shower was EXTREMELY hard to turn on and off. It was to the point where I had to call the maintenance department to shut off the shower. The bed was so uncomfortable that me and my pregnant wife had a terrible night sleep. We left early in the morning without taking a shower because we didnt have the patience to deal with the weak pressure and turning it on and off. I brought all these complaints to the manager and she didnt seem to care much. I asked for a little money off my bill and she immediately said NO. She appeared to care less about customer satisfaction. We will definitely not be returning to Blue Creek Inn and I suggest you think twice about booking a stay there!

ID not asked for upon check in. Bedroom door does not close properly. There is a large gap where hall light is visible. Room was clean and adequate but it did not live up to its online pics or description. No soundproofing between rooms.

Pretty nice stay, but out AC decided to stop working at 12:00 AM and our room got uncomfortably hot

Small room, terrible sounding TV, expected much better for the price. Bathroom door opens inward to bathroom makes it very uncomfortable.

Staff was friendly, cute boutique motel. Pillows could be better, unfortunately it was very loud. You can hear every door shutting and lots of people talking.

Everything was good.just the tv channels were very basic .and it didnt fill the screen.aspect ratio maybe? Other than that very nice.

Room a little dark. Could have a light at the entrance of the room. This would help.

The bed was super comfortable

We only stayed overnight. Room was clean, beds and linens comfortable. Downside: walls were paper-thin and trash service arrived at 4 am with several dumpsters being dumped closeby.

Service was excellent and staff was nice and helpful.

The check in was fine except I felt rushed. I always ask a lot of questions especially if I’m not from the area or never been to the property. Even when I called on the phone a few days before I was asking about the beaches in the area and I felt rushed. Give us the time of day please . We are spending a lot of $ to stay at the property especially in the summer and we are not familiar with the area. The bed was terrible. Probably need new ones! The bathroom was a vet tight space. Expected more spending $300 for 1 night.

The place was very clean. The staff helpful and friendly. There are no staff in the building between midnight and 8AM. And the front door is locked during that time period. The front door cannot be opened from outside with a room key and can be opened from the inside with the turn of a latch. But it is not a push bar exit. I am surprised that this meets fire code in Waretown.

Located 120 feet from a scrap metal yard that's open at 7AM, 7 days a week. Also, NO HOT WATER! The only reason I'm even writing this is because when we were checking out, I mentioned the lack of hot water and guess what? The desk clerk couldn't muster up the customer service skills to just say "I'm sorry." Okay so yeah, the properties clean, renovated, comfortable bed, lovely landscaping but, the photos of the place don't show the whole picture. It's located behind a strip mall and a shuttered restaurant, right next to a really noisy (for 8AM on a Sunday morning) scrap metal recycling center. Lets say you go down the shore in the off season, and think it's going to be quiet, relaxing, maybe you'll sleep late on Sunday? That ain't gonna happen here. On the other hand, if you're the kind of person/family that's up early, ready to take in all the area has to offer and won't spend much time in your room, this will be fine for you. Unless of course you appreciate the luxury of a hot shower... The bottom line? This place could be "The Ritz Carlton," and it'd still be right next to a scrap yard and have no hot water.

The room and all facilities were very well maintained - spotless even. We had to arrive well after the lobby was to be closed, but the staff, Tina in particular, went above and beyond to make certain we could get checked in and were comfortable. Both she and the manager, Pam, were kind, warm and welcoming. This place is truly a little gem in one of the loveliest little towns New Jersey has to offer. Given the opportunity, we'd stay there again and again!

I have been a business traveler for over 40 years and checked in thousands of times at any time without an incident. This hotel locks the front door at 11 pm and goes home. I got there at 11:05 and stood at the front door in disbelief. Between 11 PM and 8:00 AM, you are out of luck. There needs to be some notice that this hotel closes at 11 pm. The closest real hotel is 20 minutes away so if you get to this hotel at 11:05 as I did, your travel is not over.

This was our second time staying there for a dance competition and once again it was above reproach. Tina at the desk is so kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

Set back from Route 9 in a building that doesn't look much like a hotel or motel. Not much to see outside the windows. In March it was off-season and the hotel was quiet, with room renovations ongoing for a number of the other rooms. Our room had good space and the furnishings were in good shape. The staff was friendly. No problems. Compared to other motels in the Ocean County area, it is an excellent option as a place to stay that is not at or very close to the beach.

The inn is set back off the road, almost missed it! It is has a renovated lobby and check in area. Check in was fast and easy. We were on first floor so pulled around to the side right by our room. Overall, was clean and comfortable for a 1 night stay. The carpets and ceilings are older and do hold a little of that motel smell, a little smokey. It was quiet all night, but in the AM lots of trucks were dropping off metal at the yard next to us so if you’re a light sleeper.

The beach was to far.

The motel is perfectly positioned for ease of rambling to nearby attractions! The property was clean and well maintained. The staff that we encountered were all very nice and efficient! We will definitely return!

We faced the parking lot adjoining a recycling business. Noisy. Was expecting pleasant surroundings from the website pics. Clean rooms though and courteous staff.

This was a very nice property, updated, clean and well maintained. The staff were all very nice. It would be nice is there was a continental breakfast included. The outside surroundings are the only downside. We would definitely stay again. Thank,you.

Loved it was so clean and well stocked with all The things I needed. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Liked it was close to eateries- best place was lighthouses bar and grill- great food at good prices. The only thing was it was behind a bunch of store parking lots. Also liked the room enterence from parking lot and hallway!

It was clean, newish on inside. Beds were not comfortable, and pillows were hard. The shampoo, etc, was good. Happy to get a makeup removal cloth. Neighborhood not the greatest, no restaurants around. Not worth 5 stars.

Kind, helpful staff, Scott especially. There are some dining options right on route 9, a mile or so each way. Comfy beds, nice little patio. I feel very at home.

This hotel is safe, clean and has a friendly staff. Unfortunately the restaurant in the building adjacent to hotel closed. There are several casual dining spots nearby plus a supermarket.

Clean, comfortable. Cute property that is well kept. Free coffee. The queen bed seemed quite small and for the price, something (even basic) would be good for breakfast. Good place.

Several families stayed here for a dance competition in Tom's River. We really liked this location instead of Seaside Heights. It was an easy 20-25 minute drive to the high school. We really liked the restaurant that shared the same parking lot. Rooms were nice with mini fridge and microwave. Ice machine and laundry machines available as well as vending machines. Grocery store less than 5 minutes away. Pool was closed on days that severe storm threats appeared. Small playground available also. Would definitely stay here again. I would bring my own blanket from home next time and the bed was not the most comfortable but not the worst.

We picked this hotel on their reviews and the photos look nice. The beds are horrible. The pillows are horrible. If you don’t take your keys on the deck, you get locked out. The pool was very pleasant. It was a shock to pull up to the hotel though because it is behind a closed hotel, and behind a strip mall. There is a good brewery in the strip mall, but Jersey does not supply food at breweries. We asked the front desk where was a good place to eat? She recommended to one was to the left wasn’t sure the name one was to the right it started with a G no help at all. If you’re only spending one night it’s absolutely doable. Bring your own pillows and don’t expect a good sleep.
