Spent the night here in one of their loft rooms- such a cool room! Great restaurant and beautiful views from a huge veranda. Sunset was great to watch from here. Drove the 25 minutes to Dahlonega to see the Christmas lights then had breakfast the next morning. So many things to do- it was too cold for us to zip line but you could actually do it right outside the lodge! Will def come back here again very soon!!!

The views in the common areas and in the rooms were outstanding. The property takes advantage of the views and makes access easy for all. The outdoor area has many chairs, and the patio has fireplaces/firepits to stay warm as you enjoy it all.

The setting in the woods, the waterfall GORGEOUS! It was convenient to have a restaurant in-house but it was a limited menu. No didn't find a pool, jacuzzi or exercise room (maye they have them somewhere). We enjoyed our stay; hated to leave. The views are magnificent. Such a beautiful setting.

Lodge was nice/clean. Staff very friendly. Only issues were downstairs/fire pit area closed for event (that was one of my reasons for choosing this location as our night away rather than hotel). Also disappointed with breakfast. Buffet options plentiful (similar to others continental breakfast). However good mostly cold and not enjoyable for $15.00 per person. I usually eat very small breakfast so price was high. Wish I could have just got a muffin, toast or something for a few bucks without paying for full buffet.

Very nice location, serene and lots to do if you want to. My only negative is the elevator was out of service for 2 nights which was bad. Walking up and down the steps with luggage and just going to eat was physically exhausting.

Great lodge, gorgeous views, good base whether relaxing or hiking the state park’s many trails. Our room had an amazing view which was enhanced daily at sunset. The lodge’s outdoor patios and decks were so nice. Well kept, clean, and staff was pleasant. But huge downfall for us was the food. One restaurant which only serves buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast was $15/person of what a Springhill Suites will give you for free. Make your own waffles, rubbery eggs, bacon and sausage that they tried to keep hot in perspiring lidded pans. We didn’t even try the buffet dinner after walking through and viewing it - huge turn off. Sadly, no other dining options except for running down mountain for lunch of sandwich, yogurt or humus at Visitor’s Center. No microwaves in room, one on floor by ice machine. We drove half hour for meals in surrounding towns and made our own breakfasts. This lodge has incredible potential. It’s so nice but they need a chef, some cornhole out on the lawn, a ranger or knowledgeable person to lead stargazing with a telescope, and some more activities other than a glass of wine with a view and a puzzle on a table for at night when the hikes are done.

Beautiful property. Elevator was down, bedding was stained and pit look glass was full of handprints when we arrived obstructing the gorgeous view but they had a gift shop and nice food options. No complaints for the location

The hotel is nice but a bit dated. The restaurant menu is limited and closes at 8pm with no room service available. We were celebrating our 30th anniversary and envisioned spending time by the pit fire, but was never on. The fireplace was never turned on during our 3 night stay, the elevator was not working for our entire stay. They never made our beds during the 3 night stay, which was really odd for the money they charge per night!! Overall it is a OK hotel, with nice views. A great place to rest and walk in the woods, don’t expect much else. On the other hand, There was this quaint town nearby called “Dahlonega” where we found this great restaurant “Spirit Tavern”, great food and atmosphere. Great wineries around too!

Upon arrival the bed did not have a fitted sheet. The staff was helpful and gave us a fitted sheet. When we went to put the sheet on the bed we noticed the mattress cover had a terrible coffee stain on it at the side of the head of bed. The staff was notified and she quickly transferred us to another room. In the new room the cover over the bedframe was not right. The shower wall was cracked and the sink drain was broken in half. In the hallway we noticed silverware and napkins lying on the floor for a couple days before the silverware was gone and napkin left. It’s a beautiful lodge but it’s getting older and is needing renovated. This is our third visit to this lodge and it has gone done so much since 2022.

This beautiful hotel was on top the mountain with an amazing view. We enjoyed sitting in the lobby next to the fireplace. It was nicely decorated and most of staff were friendly and welcoming but the room was unbelievably dirty. Every area in the room and bathroom was full of dust and I think they never cleaned it up prior to our visit. Also, the bedding quality was very poor. The bed skirt was falling apart and pillows were so old and uncomfortable and sheets were not clean. We talked to the front desk when checking out and made suggestions about checking behind the cleaning staff after they are done with their work before checking in new guests.

The lodge and our room had beautiful mountain views. The staff was kind and friendly. The room was adequate but looking a bit tired- carpet coming up at the seam where it meets the bathroom, room was a little musty/damp feeling, but that may have been due to some power outages earlier that day prior to our arrival. The a/c was not working in our room when we arrived but they were able to reset it and it worked fine for the rest of our stay. The restaurant and bar closed at 8 and it would be nice if it stayed open until 10 - there were still many guests wandering the lodge past 10 pm.

Clean room, beautiful view with nice atmosphere and a quality breakfast. Main issues were the elevator is very loud, audible halfway down the hall and seems to boom through the entire place. Also, the coffee maker was broken in the room, not TOO big of a deal since they had complimentary coffee downstairs, but it's worth noting. Overall, it's a nice place if you like mountain views and comfy rooms. Would I stay again? Probably, if I were back in that area. There good absolutely outweighs the bad for me.

Views are amazing. Love the peaceful location. Stunning and beautiful. Bed was terrible - dip there was no way to get out of, pillows lumpy and uncomfortable. Ice machine and elevator were out of service and it didn’t seem like either were going to be worked on any time soon. Hopefully my assumption is incorrect. This place has the potential to be a five star in all areas.

Overall a good experience. We had a room with a beautiful mountain view. Room was clean and comfortable. Furniture in the lobby and sitting areas were a little dated. Some of the staff were friendly while others were a little ornery but it was crowded causing them to be a little stressed. Finding the lodge and where to park was a little bit of a challenge. I would recommend staying here.

The area was amazing, the staff we came face to face with was extraordinary. The food was pricey for what it was, great ambience and view with items that came in frozen and heated up. But the convenience made it worth it as there is nothing close by for meals. Our overall bill was wrong for the stay and it was ridiculous trying to have it corrected. The time and effort to had the put in to have a hundred dollar error corrected ensured I will never stay there again, unfortunately because it really was beautiful.

Staff were so very friendly! On checking in the gentleman at the desk let me know there was a fruit/cheese tray in our fridge as I had mentioned we were celebrating our 49th anniversary. That was so sweet. In the dining room, Emily was amazing! Friendly and knowledgeable and such a pleasure to get to know her. Thanks for a wonderful time and we hope to celebrate the big 50th next year!!!

First off, I will never come here again. I booked through hotels, came here for a change of scenery after a bad year and was completely treated poorly by the front desk staff and hostess on new years eve. We never got to eat because they were closing in 20 minutes while the hostess was doing who knows what for about 10 minutes just to come back and tell us we couldn’t eat except the snacks that they provided for their New Year’s Eve Party that you have to pay $20 to get into. Anything nearby is about 30 minutes away so make sure you bring snacks because after 8pm you’re on your own. Also hotels mentioned that there was no complaints ever mentioned when there was complaints that were made at the front desk. Terrible service. NEVER again. They just want your money. Also there’s only one trash can in the hotel room and it is tiny.

The property is in a state park. The views from the property are breathtaking! The highest waterfall in Georgia is on site with walking trails surrounding it!! A must stay and see. I will be back!

You are definitely paying for the view and location. Amazing mountain sunsets. Rooms a bit outdated and the website really plays up the amenities but they are very lackluster. Would be nice to have a hot tub and for them to do fire with s’mores at night or something. Very far from nearest town (35 min drive to any town) and limited dining there so plan ahead or plan on driving. Next time I would stay in one of the towns and then just go to the park separately.

Spent our anniversary night here and the property and staff were excellent. The view from our first floor room was spectacular and it was nice to have chairs to sit outside and take in the wonderful view. The dining however was a little disappointing. It's convenient sure, but for the price it could've been better. Both breakfast and dinner are served buffet style but dinner doesn't offer many choices and the vegetables (collard greens) lacked seasoning. Breakfast was just a typical continental breakfast offered at any hotel but this one charges 12.00 per person. And please if you put sausage gravy on the buffet line, include biscuits!

They need to hire more staff at the restaurant. The two staff members we saw were nice but they were overwhelmed. Food quality was just ok. The scenery is fantastic but there’s no other option for dining. Both times we are there, service was incredibly slow.

The hotel is cruising on the view and just phoning it in. The food at the restaurant is ballpark quality. The best meal we had the day we stayed was Waffle House. That should not be. First thing to do is bring in a chef and others that can cook without a microwave. You hiked all day. You're tired. You want a great meal and a glass of wine, not a fake beef burger, day old fries and a crunchy overcooked brownie. Also...They should bring in local talent for live music! Have a piano bar, wine bar, sunset instrumentalist! Live music every night would be great for the guest and the local musicians. Finally... The staff is okay but nothing spectacular. You need a staff that indulges the guests, not just tolerates them. My suggestion is to bring in someone that specializes in the hospitality Industry to consult. They can model the hotel as a mountain gem, and bring in staff that has an understanding of what hospitality actually means. The hotel is fine but what a waste that it's not better than fine and instead spectacular!

This lodge is beautiful. The view from our room was amazing. We were very comfortable in our spacious room and everything expected was there. The staff was helpful and courteous. Sunset views are amazing. We ate at the lodge and were disappointed in that offering.
