The location is great, and the pool area was a hidden gem! Staff was very good. Guests should realize there’s a $35 daily parking fee, which felt exorbitant. I would encourage the team at Aloft to consider this fee.

The property was very nice with friendly staff. The valet was quite expensive and was sometimes difficult to get the attention of the valet guys whether I was dropping off my car or even trying to use it. For $35 a day I would expect to not have to constantly get their attention. On top of that they did not lock my car on multiple occasions. I do not recommend the bar. I also wished they had an ice machine versus prepackaged ice bag which were too large for the ice containers provided in rooms.

The only parking available on site was at a cost of $35. Per day which is quite steep. Street parking is available but at a cost of $4.00 per hour. There is a parking garage one block away which charges $17.00 per day. Quite expensive for more than a one day stay.

The room was very comfortable small but still specious. I loved it. We got a room on the same floor as the pool and gym which was convenient and both were really great amenities and very clean. You get to get sun but can also get shade if it what you want. The restaurants and stores are at a walkable distance but not out front that would get noisy. It’s a great choice.

The staff was excellent and the rooms were clean and well maintained. I don’t understand the negative reviews. The hotel can use some cosmetic improvements but nothing dramatic. The service was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. The area was great with wonderful restaurants in walking distance. I would definitely stay there again.

Lobby was beautiful but Bedroom was old and dirty. Wallpaper peeling from the wall in numerous areas, dirty shower corner, maintenance needed snd carpet dirty. Thin walls and loud. I expect much more from Marriott. Very disappointed and will not stay there again during frequent travels to Coral Gables, FL. I took photos but don’t see a place to upload them.

The rooms smelled terrible like cat pee. We booked 4 nights but could barely get through the first night cause the smell of cat pee and dirty old carpets was harsh. We tried to switch rooms but they all smelled the same.

The room was nicely re-finished, but the bathroom is not well laid out. No light in the shower stall, and the one near it is too dim considering the dark gray tiles in the shower. It’s a zero entry shower, but the tile isn’t slanted enough towards the drain to properly drain the water, so there was water everywhere.

Third time we stay at this hotel. But first time we stay at a third floor room. Walls has low isolation so noise is annoying. You can even listen to the conversation people are having in the next room. Difficult to sleep with it. We are coming back but we will select a suite definitely. We did no have this problem before. Other than that stay was good.

The property was great! I loved the black out curtains & bed (king) was very comfortable. It was very clean too! I appreciate the complimentary water bottles too. Another massive plus is the 12:00pm check out. The hallway noise was louder than I would have liked, and I would have liked to have a bathtub to soak in and/or at minimum more water pressure for the shower. However the water definitely got hot! The shampoo/conditioner/body gel were all very nice. Branded dry bar. They were subtle in fragrance which is nice. The lobby is extremely over fragranced. It made me so sick to be in that area. They could knock it down by more than half and it would still be enough to keep the brand smell they are going for. It’s not bad, just wayyyy too much. Other than that I would certainly stay again. (Please reduce the fragrance!)

I have stayed in the past but won’t stay there again. Staff is not helpful at all and the property is not as clean as it used to be. You need to beg for help for anything and the staff in uninterested in the guests. They are all busy with their phones.

Plenty to do within walking distance of the hotel. Front desk staff was friendly and very helpful. Very reasonably priced and then we got an upgrade on our room! Highly recommend if you are in the Coral Gables area.

The service was horrible. We had to physically go downstairs several times to obtain toilet paper, bath towels, and take out our own trash. None of the staff wore name tags. Even if I wanted to positively recognize an employee I couldn’t. Two nights we didn’t get any sleep due to loud banging noise.

Do your self a favor and find some where else to stay! Although the property is pretty nice, the staff is completely terrible. Valet will move your programmed seats, remove keys from the key chain. Management did not want to provide information on the valet as later we found out it has happened many times! MARRIOT do do better. Front desk and management of the building do not care about the customers.

Terrible service. First they gave me keys for the room that didnt work, inhad to walk all the way back to the front desk. Then they gave me another keys, when I arrived to my room they did work, but… SURPRISE, the room was occupied by another people!! I had to walk for the third time to the front desk to get another room. Next day they didn’t refresh the room. I called at night to get clean towels, called again in the morning, had to make a third call to finally after a one hour and a half wait get my clean towels. Awful service.

Wonderful, centrally located, walking distance to miracle mile and across the street from a Publix supermarket. Only thing,we had requested a room around the pool area and was not able to get it. But over all, a wonderful experience.

Comfy bed, nice big lobby and common areas, ability to eat from a limited menu in the hotel, because I was having dental implant surgery and not in any disposition to go out. Nice, helpful staff. Those are my likes. What I really disliked were several annoying aspects of this hotel. The breakfast and happy hour food options are decent, but ridiculously overpriced and skimpy sizes, adding insult to injury. The burgers are the size of a children's menu, and so are the other items. That explains why very few peope ate in the hotel. There are no microwaves in the rooms, you have to go to the breakfast area and use.a shared microwave. There's no breakfast buffet, just the small menu of overpriced breakfast choices. There are no ice machines on the floors, you have to get a bag of ice from the freezer in the breakfast area, it's complimentary, but there's no place to put all that ice, only a small ice bucket. The shower cabinet doors are a disaster! There's no rubber gasket to seal where the glass doors meet, so water gets out all over the floor. Parking is also a hassle, $35 per day no self parking, only valet! The rooms are small, the mini fridge is on the floor, under the sink. I don't recall having these issues when I stayed in the Tallahassee Aloft near the Capitol. In conclusion, I think Aloft is ideal for a traveler who doesn't need much and wants to go out on the town. It may be a better fit for those under 30, but not for us

The location is great - walking distance to miracle mile and all shops and restaurants. The rooms are very small, felt like an IKEA cruise ship cabin. "Breakfast" is continental, terrible and is charged at around $15 each. Wonderful sit down breakfasts are 4 blocks away for $18.
