Great location for visiting Dublin. Comfortable, quite and clean rooms with tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge. The staff were friendly and professional. There is parking on site that you have to pay for and the car park entrance could be challenging for bigger cars.

Nice big hotel around 4 km from the center of Dublin. Parking in basement - very narrow - on location. Stayed 1 night - had nice dinner in restaurant which is located in the basement, but had to leave very early for the airport so did not try the breakfast.

Ein beeindruckendes Gebäude, schöne Anlage. Das Zimmer war eher klein, aber ruhig gelegen, wenn auch hellhörig. Die Mitarbeitenden waren teilweise sehr freundlich, teilweise arrogant und desinteressiert, vor allem an der Rezeption. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück war auch für Allergiker gut. Es konnten warme Gerichte extra bestellt werden, was aber nirgendwo angeschrieben war. Der Fitnessraum war sehr klein und die 3 Geräte haben bei jeder Bewegung lautstark nach einem Service gequietscht.

Overall, Clayton Ballsridge is a very elegant and comfortable hotel. Our room was clean and relaxing. Staff was pleasant. The only downside was their parking garage. We had a Seat Alhambra (comparable to a Honda Odyssey), and the winding access to the parking areas were extremely narrow. Going around those curves was extremely difficult. But it could also be because I wasn't used to a right-hand-drive vehicle. Other than this, we had a wonderful stay at Clayton Ballridge.

Love staying here when I am in Dublin. Great location, food is really good and the staff are excellent. I arrived just after 12pm on my most recent stay and my room was ready. This happens every time I visit. If you want somewhere that is good value and central enough to Dublin City Centre, you can’t go wrong with the Clayton in Ballsbridge. I’ll be back again! Oh and they have lots of parking at very reasonable rates for guests.

Good enough, comfy bed, good breakfast and dinner. Gym is not worth going to and needs expanding x 5 and investment in new kit. For a hotel this size to have a gym with 20 year old kit that fits 5 people is not good enough. Room was quite old fashioned, perfectly good enough and comfy! Need a spruce up I think, but fundamentally I’d happily stay there again.

Time allowed for parking very generous, several hours after check out time. Drivers of larger cars will struggle with tight corners getting in to parking area. Room was lovely, but wish hotels would provide lighter duvets for summer months. Lovely staff in bar and breakfast areas, makes such a difference to the stay. All in all a top class hotel, would certainly visit again.

The hotel is located in a safe and quiet residential area. There are also enough restaurants and a park nearby. The hotel didn’t have an air conditioner, so some nights felt stuffy and hot. We ended up using a fan and keeping a window open. The housekeepers made the beds and refreshed the room daily, but the bathroom wasn’t cleaned well. Overall, the employees are friendly and helpful.

Quite a nice hotel. The bed was comfortable but the room needed updating. The windows did not fit properly so a lot of outside noise was heard, including the daily coaches very early in the morning. I thought my days of having a shower in a bath with a shower curtain clinging to me were over, but this hotel proved they weren't.

I have stayed at this hotel at least 4-5 times when visiting the RDS and every time I have stayed in different condition rooms (for same cost) every time. This time my colleagues and I were put in 3 accessible rooms on ground floor. The rooms themselves were ok, bed was very comfortable. Although they had no usb or plug point next to either double bed in room and for anyone and especially for someone with disabilities this was inconvenient and very outdated. The bathrooms were old and really need replacing as the grout in walls is orange and the disability seat had mould on it. Shower was colder or one of the days, the towels are stored inside the shower and the glasses on top of the toilet cistern. Just not acceptable. If this is how you treat your accessible guests then this is not acceptable.

The hotel property itself was nice, especially for being an older building. The rooms were updated and modern. My issues were the following: 1. Cleaning staff were very loud in the early morning 8am is too early to be blasting music 2. The beds are extremely uncomfortable. The pillows are too tall and feel like bricks. 3. The radiant heat system was hit or miss, it was very cold one night and the heat wouldn't turn on, even when putting it on the highest setting. 4. I asked the front desk to look into why my TV had no channels, they said they would. Well I had no channels for my entire stay, had to use my tablet instead. 5. The wifi is spotty. 6. Lastly, the breakfast at the restaurant is not good. For what you pay 18 to 20 € a day, I shouldn't be eating powdered scrambled eggs. Also, not all the food is ready at opening; went later one day and received smoked salmon, the subsequent days, I went between 630 to 7am and there was none. I was told that it was not ready, 45 mins later they still hadn't brought it out. The man who was preparing that area didn't really seem to care as if it wasn't his problem.

Fast and easy check in/out. The hotel is conveniently located about 3 blocks from a train stop providing easy access to the City Center. The room was very clean and comfortable. There was no a/c but a fan is provided. The wi-Fi worked great! I would definitely consider staying there again.

Room was a good size and clean but very noisy with thin walls. Auto closing doors slam shut causing disturbance through the night and early morning. A pet hate but the television wasn't tuned which is a basic. Well supported by buses into the city centre and staff are very friendly and polite. Let down by the physical facilities.

We loved our stay at the Clayton in Ballsbridge. From check in onwards the staff were so professional, helpful & friendly. The breakfast was fantastic - so well organised & a huge choice of delicious food. There were plenty of staff around if we needed anything. Our room was a good size, spotlessly clean & very quiet. The communal areas & bars downstairs were very jolly social areas with a good atmosphere. We absolutely loved our stay & look forward to returning.

The receptionist won’t let us check in before 3 pm when I asked at 2 pm. Later in the evening I noticed an email was sent to me that our room was ready at 1:30 pm email. The receptionist didn’t even check our room at 2 pm but just stick her mind set that check in is 3 pm. I think she needs to be trained better for a better customer service.

Staff very helpful,wife got a stomach bug could not have been more helpful offered to call the in house doctor if needed checked up on her during the day luckily she was fine the next day, the concern they showed was really impressive.

We had two rooms booked for our stay, one on the 3rd floor and the second on the 6th floor. We were very disappointed by the room on the 3rd floor and found the bathroom to be very grubby with old tiles and dated. The bathroom still had a shower curtain and looked like it had not been updated in years. Our 6th floor room was very comfortable and I found it hard to believe the difference in the two rooms. The hospitality and restaurant service was truely dissapointing and I would really like to feed this back to the management. We had reserved a table for 3 people in the Grandstand. The waiting staff did not acknowledge us for about 20 minutes and then did not come back with our drink order at all. After about 15 minutes I went up to the bar to collect our order as I could see it was sitting in the bar going flat. The waiting staff were running around and it was very chaotic. I also noticed other tables were receiving the wrong orders and it was quite an unsettling environment. The food itself was lukewarm and not worth the high price tag. There should also be a service lift for the hotel employees as I found the catering and bar staff were using the main lift with big trolleys which really slowed it down. Overall I would not reccomend this hotel to any friends family’s or colleagues and I also would not be returning.

We were very disappointed by the room on the 3rd floor and found the bathroom to be very grubby with old tiles and dated. The bathroom still had a shower curtain and looked like it had not been updated in years. Our 6th floor room was very comfortable and I found it hard to believe the difference in the two rooms. The hospitality and restaurant service was truely dissapointing and I would really like to feed this back to the management. We had reserved a table for 3 people in the Grandstand. The waiting staff did not acknowledge us for about 20 minutes and then did not come back with our drink order at all. After about 15 minutes I went up to the bar to collect our order as I could see it was sitting in the bar going flat. The waiting staff were running around and it was very chaotic. I also noticed other tables were receiving the wrong orders and it was quite an unsettling environment. The food itself was lukewarm and not worth the high price tag. There should also be a service lift for the hotel employees as I found the catering and bar staff were using the main lift with big trolleys which really slowed it down. Overall I would not reccomend this hotel to any friends family’s or colleagues and I also would not be returning.

We chose this property for it's character and charm and we stayed for 5 days. The public areas of the property were quite nice, modern and warm. The surrounding area is nice and there are local restaurants and easy to use transport. The room was okay, I expected a bit more character and the photos are a bit different to what I expected. On the downside, we were quite disappointed with the food from the restaurant and the reception staff were absolutely miserable and unhelpful. When I checked out I walked up to the receptionist said "Checking out?" I answered yes and handed over my card. He then asked "Is that it?". No asking how our stay was, no pleasantries. Just completely disinterested. I have to say, I used to work in hotel management and I couldn't believe how rude and miserable the reception staff were, and this refers to every day that we stayed.

For starters, there is nothing near this hotel. It is beautiful to look at from the outside. The service in the restaurant is HORRIBLE. They seat you, then forget about you. I see them working but it was never for our group. The food selection was good and everything we had was delicious when we finally received it. We waited 45 minutes for tea and dessert because two different waiters forgot. We got there early which it was expected our room wouldn’t be ready however, they gave 4 girls who just arrived keys to their room when we had been waiting for 6 hours. I finally had to say something. Then she asked me “do you want to add breakfast?” I said yes, did she add breakfast, no she did not. I really could go on and on about how inattentive the staff was. Just do yourself a favor and don’t stay here, drive by and take a picture if you think it’s that pretty.

Location was ideal we were visiting the rds fir the motor show.. few minutes walk.. lots of bars in area and nice food places too.. hotel itself was fantastic staff friendly and accommodating..room spotless bed very comfortable. Parking only 10 euro if done online

L'hôtel est très bien situé dans un quartier calme, facile d'accès depuis le centre ville de Dublin via le Dart. Quand on arrive devant l'hôtel on fait "wouaaaa" car la bâtisse est vraiment sublime. Le hall, l'espace bar restaurant sont très bien décorés. La chambre est hélas décevante car elle ne correspond pas au design classe de l'hôtel. Un bon rafraîchissement ne serait pas du luxe et améliorer les équipements aussi. Le personnel est quand à lui très disponible et accueillant.

Gorgeous historic building, in ideal location for aviva stadium, with parking. Room and beds were comfortable and great size. Only issue was the gluten free options, which were a bit limited. Bread at breakfast was horrible, so we bought some ourselves for the second day. And no gf options for pastries or sausages etc. At dinner there were also quite limited options for starters (salad) and only gf pudding was ice cream. We only managed to get a main course to eat (as none on menu we were given, apart from a burger with salad) as the helpful bar manager brought us a different menu. For a hotel of this size it was disappointing to not have more choices. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the staff were great.

Super efficient staff and very quick check-in. Family room very small and then you add in bags etc cramped. Bathroom needs an update. Breakfast was cold and some items just couldn’t be ate. Always stay in this hotel when spending time in Dublin but I feel things have slipped a little
