Love the hotel, good coffee in room and swimming in the rooftop pool. Nice bar and restaurant. Be prepared to pay $39 to park and a LOT of resort fees though. Check that total before thinking it is a good deal.

Amazing, very helpful and friendly staff; shuttle to the beach with chairs, umbrella and towels is the best thing with kids. Bathroom amenities are divine. Walkable distance to all restaurants and cafes. Best location and very clean place to stay with valet parking. We are coming back.

Nice hotel, very clean, close to great resturants. Valet, Sebastian, was outstanding - very helpful with everything including local information. Beds were okay - pillows were terrible. Shower floor was very slick when wet - one of the worst I've encountered. And NO grab bars anywhere in the shower.

This is the second tim win two weeks we have stayed. The first visite had problems and this visite had more. The toilet did not work as well as the shower. Instead of offering a new room, they sent maintenance to repair. Never was repaired! Towels were worn and thinning. Water damage in shower ceiling which was not repaired. Very disappointed in the property as it could have so much to offer!

Disappointed-stains on the floors throughout carpets, no where to hang your towels, (bathroom very disappointing), charged for water, charged for the robes, no glasses to drink water in the room. It wasn’t a user friendly room at all.

I've been in this hotel before, however I noticed some details such the furniture doesn't look new anymore, same as shower and bedroom. I really dislike the fact that every time the air conditioner started, it sounded like airplane turbine. It was very lound.

Really nice hotel in a great area. Lots of nice restaurants and shops within walking distance. Comfortable bed and plenty of space in our room. We loved all of the art in the hotel and enjoyed a drink at the rooftop bar. Valet was quick whenever we requested our car. One suggestion is that they upgrade their toilet paper, amenities were nice except for that.

Perfect located small resort. Nicely decorated. Good rooms, clean and modern. I prefer taller high floor rooms but we were said that king size bed rooms are only on the 3rd floor. The facility has no charger for electric cars, and you need to use the city charger across the street (3 to 6 kw/hour, limited to 4 hours and not available 6 am to 10 am, so not very convenient)

It’s a clean functional hotel in downtown Sarasota location is good. Roof pool is fine it’s just a shame the reception areas are so soulless . As are the bedrooms just functional but bland and with ugly black bathroom furniture

Really enjoyable hotel. We were there for a funeral. All of the staff were absolutely amazing. I need to give a shout out to Inkar Zakariadze. She is the assistant Director of the front office. She went above and beyond normal expectations. I hope that the Art Ovation management will recognize her outstanding performance. We have stayed at the Westin, the Hyatt, Embassy suites. And this is by far the best hotel we’ve stayed at. Thank you!

Negatives: Did not offer assistance taking bags to room even though we were visibly struggling at check in with bags and drinks. Ordered breakfast with coffee but no coffee arrived. Breakfast had English muffins but no butter or jam. They supplied mustard and ketchup instead. Called back to get coffee butter and jam. No butter and coffee was Luke warm. Ordered beer poolside but could not charge it to room so had to do without. Not enough shade on rooftop. Long wait for drinks at lobby bar. Appears to be a coffee bar near elevators in lobby but not told about it. Wear markings on vinyl bed headboard. Severe water damage on fridge cabinet. Bottom line is expected much better for such an expensive stay. Positives: Nice surprise with champagne and chocolate for anniversary. Fast and good maid service

We loved everything about this hotel except for one interaction with staff. Our friends had a wedding in the evening, and afterwards just four of us went back to the room for cake. We were all talking, but no yelling or loud music. We had a bang on the door and a rude staff member telling us to be quiet or they would call the cops on us. Our newly wed friends had to leave our room because apparently talking is not allowed past a certain hour at night. I found this approach to be unnecessarily aggressive. There are much better ways to go about asking someone to keep it down. I was very disappointed with that experience.

Staff was knowledgeable and friendly-Alfred at the front is a gem! The hotel is clean and close to restaurants and in the middle of the art district. The rooftop bar is great and has the best view of Sarasota. The bed was comfortable, and toiletries were high quality. The art displayed in the lobby is something to see, and there was live music there as well. This was a definite hit, and we will gladly return!

first night eating at your hotel I got terrible food poisoning that kept me up for nine hours. Manager of restaurant called and told me he was sorry about that....that was it. I'll never stay here again, the cook obviously served food that was rancid

We love our 2 night stay at this property. Room was nicely decorated and very spacious and comfortable. Staff at reception was friendly and gift shop was ver well stocked, convenient and well priced. Unfortunately the rooftop bar was disappointing. Cocktails were pre mixed and watered down. Appetizer order took over one hour. When we asked about it we were told that we should been told kitchen would take 35 mins to bring out, and witching 5 mins tue table next to ours who had just sat down received their order in less that 15 mins. The waitress then came by to verify our order which turns out she never put thru “miscommunication” with the kitchen…. We were served within 10 mins. Did not appreciate the misinformation. She waive our drink charges but damage already done. Don’t go for drinks or food upstairs - order beers.

The Hotel was lovely and in a great area. The rooms were clean and beds were comfy. We ate two meals there and were both great . The cocktails from the main bar were disapointing.. Did not have ingredients for the specialty drinks. The pool and pool bar were great. everyone was friendly . I would stay there again but I think if you have speciality drink you better have the ingredients,

Location is terrific. Roof top was very cool, service was great! Breakfast was very good and nice ambience. The property is getting a bit “worn” time to update. Thought valet parking for $45.00 was over the top, a $29.00 fee for a van (that I didn’t use) was offensive. I travel for business and I usually don’t stay there, but tried it since summer rates were lower.. Glad I went, glad I tried it once was enough.
