Reeds Lodge

Lodge was great as always. The provided breakfast is a little lite, but it's free. Staff was easy to work with. Good location for close places to eat. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Appreciated that we could park the motorcycles right in front of the room. Will be back again next year

Nice little local hotel. They were celebrating their 75th anniversary so they are an old property, but well taken care off. The water was always hot, the towels were clean, the room was clean, and the staff was friendly. When fully booked, parking can be tight but they had an option for our room to park in a special area.

New retro style fridge and microwave in my room. Best hotel fridge I've ever seen. Refroze my ice packs in 2 hours! The property decor was so southwest with hand hewn columns and even a real stuffed Longhorn in the lounge area.

We were here just for one night and took highway 191 from Tucson all the way to Bluff Utah. Stopped here because could not miss going to Molly Butlers in Greer for dinner(one of my favorite places). The place was very clean and quiet. The only thing odd is not enough parking near the room. Seemed like employees parked where it should be left open for visitors.

Such a cute hotel in a perfect location! While there certainly were other options available, the price and location was just too perfect here! If you're traveling through Arizona on Rt 20,, stop in Springerville! This location was perfect for us in our trek from California to Texas! While we only stayed one night, there is certainly a lot in the area to see while using this as a home-base. Staff was very friendly, decor as sooo cute and the rooms were very clean & comfy. We did have the room right on the road, so I was worried we would get no sleep at all from all the traffic. However, it did quiet down by the time we went and had a nice dinner! We had a great (continental) breakfast in their breakfast/ game room and back on the road with an easy check-out!

Our room was very nice and clean. Beds were comfortable. The rooms look like they have been recently remodeled. The breakfast is coffee and cereal. Our room was in the back of the motel and there isn't enough parking there.

This property is centrally located with good restaurants nearby. Parking for the courtyard area rooms is very limited. Our room was a no frills but comfortable and clean room. The nightly rate was good. This is our second time staying here and would definitely stay here again.

Some of the property appeared to have undergone renovation. However, the whole back half has not and the rooms were old, filthy, and had ceetainly not been maintained.

We stayed in a pet friendly room. Therefore I feel like the property owners didn’t make much of an effort to make this a decent room. Compared to the other reviews posted I am pretty certain the poor reviews are pertaining to the pet friendly rooms. The refrigerator was so loud we had to unplug it. One lamp didn’t work. No table to eat at. Locks were not safe with no deadbolt The bathroom was dirty with pet hair on side of tub and grime everywhere. Just because I travel with a pet does not make me an animal. I want a clean room and this was not clean.

I had a beautiful room during my first stay here, but second time, the "pet" room was rather gross.

Old hotel they’ve done a refresh on. Loud HVAC wall unit in room & next door room. Nice bed & linens, Very clean except ledge in bathtub had soap & hair on it. Towel bar fell off wall, light was out over counter & USB ports didn’t work. Room had one wall that was painted concrete block, other wall was old Z brick & small TV. Minimal breakfast (grab & go). Gal at front desk was nice. Had to go there to get ice. Big enough freezer to keep ice bucket in because I don’t know if you could get ice after 10. Cute western decor at entrance.

I was the only guest. First, I was assigned an old room with TWO queen beds. Why? The front door to the room was safe but not well maintained. Then, the bathtub was filthy. It had mold and rust stains. This was very disappointing. I did NOT request a change of rooms, because I was out doing field work most of the time.

We got room 20 and it was updated and decorated retro style. The bed was very comfortable too. If we come back this way we’ll ask for the same room. My family got a different room and it wasn’t updated at all.

This is an older hotel, it is what it is. The ac unit was quite loud, and kicked on and off all night, making for a harder time sleeping.

They are updating rooms to themes. Very full of people and the walls were thin. Overall a good choice for Springerville. Retro inspired.

Check in was quick and friendly. Staff were awesome. Our room was the best yet. We stay here regularly but this room was amazing. Clean, comfortable and great decor.

We had a 70s theme room, it was nice and clean. The check in was easy and pleasant. Lots of cool decoration including a bull in the common room. Surpassed our expectation.

This is an old property but not as crowded like some others in town. Quiet and comfortable room however no usable outlets to charge phone.

Reed's Lodge is a long term stalwart of Springerville. Each room is themed. Mine was Route 66 with drapes, wall hangings, a coca cola themed fridge and freezer, and a real pay phone on the wall. The staff are warm and welcoming. So, next time you stay in Springerville, stay in room five.

The service that we received was very professional and kind which was a very good part of our stay. The hostess recommended a bunch of different restaurants and various activities that we could do while we were in town. Also, she clearly stated all of the relative policy information that we needed to know - including the continental breakfast time. However, the hotel was one of the unrenovated models and it was very outdated. The WIFI network never showed up, so we were never able to sign in on our streaming platforms during our stay - instead we had to use our phone data and watch it on our phones. Also, the bed was extremely uncomfortable - it gave us pretty bad back pain which was surprising. We had to move the mattress to the floor, which helped the situation. Also we found a hair in the sheets, but that was the only thing that was wrong cleanliness-wise. The AC worked pretty good, it just made the room humid. Lastly, the continental breakfast was very basic and was mainly comprised of packaged goods and a limited beverage selection. Overall, it was a decent stay if you just need a room and don’t really care about the amenities or luxuries that a normal hotel brings. Except the customer service from the hostess was amazing and I would like to definitely make that clear! Overall 6.5/10

We enjoyed our stay here! Loved the room decor and that every room has a different theme. It was clean, spacious, the beds were comfortable and the staff friendly. Appreciated the morning coffee and snacks, ambiance of the lobby was amazing. Highly recommend!

The staff at Reed's are the absolute nicest folks. Respectful, accommodating, efficient and comfortable to be around. They're our hometown, to be sure.

I was very unsitisfied of the owner as on arrival I asked a room not on the road but more inside as I was not well and the noise of the road was not allowing me to rest! The answer was it the only room I have and it was number 1 just on the road. The motel was with no vacancy but very few persons had already Checked in so I found very impolite the answer and I went away to find a new motel. Of course I had to pay the night

when first arriving the rooms ac/heat unit was falling apart and the hot water valve in the shower did not work , the front desk person came down right away looked at it and moved me to an even nicer room right away no hassle this room was clean , bigger and very nice

I was nervous booking at "Historic Property" with a reasonable price. I was pleasantly surprised. "Shortie" at the front desk was very welcoming and gracious our entire 2 night stay. Check in took forever because they were trying to accommodate a group of firefighter and get them settled ASAP. Kudos! The room was average, but clean and well maintained. Continental breakfast was better than most with a good variety. A nice game/breakfast room. Will stay here again

Staff was very helpful. We had car problem's and didn’t get to the hotel until after 10pm but staff was up and helped check us in quickly. The room was updated and very clean and nice.

Very well kept property in a beautiful part of Arizona. You'd be hard pressed to show is been here since 1949! Reception was excellent - very warm welcome with plenty of good information provided. Clean, comfortable room. We slept well. We hope to return again in future travels. Here's to wishing Reed's Motor Lodge at least another 74 years!

Great stay, clean, friendly staff.

Very clean, refurbished older motel. Staff very personable. HOWEVER, I had a 2 night reservation but became ill before noon on the 2nd day, so had to cancel the 2nd night. They have a 24 hour notification requirement, cut since I became ill, I asked if they would cancel the 2nd night which was prepaid. They had no obligation to do so, but the manager was very nice and said, "I'll take care of it." She didn't. Not people of their work. I acknowledge they had no legal obligation to cancel it, but I trusted their word.

Great place for the money. Right next to a very well maintained park and play area. Old school vibes.

The property is clean and tidy, the staff is friendly, and there's a nice coffee and cold breakfast available. It is within walking distance of a restaurant that is open for breakfast lunch and dinner.

It was clean and quiet. Breakfast was included, but there was no meat. Check in was fast and access to the room was easy. We were on a road trip and appreciated a fast in and out, no hassle experience at a reasonable price. We like the old school privately owned hotels that are well kept like Reed's. Back up to the door and haul your junk straight into the room. No dragging coolers through lobbies and elevators and hallways. After all, we didn't fly half way across the country to waste time looking at hotels, did we?

The property is older which i really liked, the rooms are very clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Most definitely will stay their again when i go skiing, only 25 minutes to sunrise ski park.

I have stayed here many years ago. It still has it’s nostalgic charm. It is clean and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. It is in walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Would recommend to family and friends without hesitation. Candace, AZ

Stay here! We were in one of their recently updated rooms and it was really very nice. Front desk folks were kind and helpful and the continental breakfast was top notch. There are other choices in Springerville but, with the updated rooms, this is the best one by far 😀

The only negative was the breakfast. No room to sit and selection was not very good.

Even though the Lodge was a little bit OLD and RUSTIC, that is what made it quaint and gave it it's charm. It was a little musty smelling but the room was clean. The ladies were all very pleasant, hospitable, accommodating, willing and ready to help with any of my requests. The light continental breakfast should be plenty to please all. Coffee,creamer, assorted cereal, fruit, danish, muffins

Really liked this retro motor lodge with a great welcome.The area outside our room with a table and a couple of chairs was a nice touch. Big, very comfortable room. The only part we didn't like too much was the basic continental breakfast of juice, coffee, packaged buns - no toast, cereal, hot food options. Despite that we hope to return.

We love Reed's and stay a couple of times each year. On this visit, the breakfast selection was pretty slim. Hope they get it sorted before or next stay.

This historic motel is well preserved and reasonably priced. I prefer an old independent property instead of a cookie cutter chain. The room was spacious, the beds very comfortable, and the guest amenities were a cut above. The staff was friendly and efficient. The complimentary breakfast offerings were plentiful. Highly recommend!
