Pool was closed. They said there’s a restaurant in a Starbucks on site but it never opened and it had a sign in the morning that there was breakfast from 6 to 9 when we went down at 8:45 everything was closed. There’s a small pool it’s outside. It was closed by 8:30. I usually stay at Marriott. I’m always usually really happy. I’m not gonna lie. This is the most disappointing one I’ve ever stayed at and then I had to go find somebody to try to check out.

We have stayed in the Deland Marriott many times over the years and I was a little disappointed this time. The bathroom door in our room did not close. I don't know why but it would not fully close (Rm 210) and I was very disappointed with the fitness facility. The floor was filthy, it had not been vacuumed or swept in a long time and there were not mats available, and the ten pound dumbbells were missing. I was happy to see the Bistro open for dinner, we took advantage of that one night and it was delicious and convenient.

This hoitel is great since it is downtown and the historic district so you can walk to some fine dining establishments. The only negative was the dryers were down the whole week we were there so we couldnt do laundry.

I could not believe that we were charged for parking. It’s not like you’re in some big city. They had a half full parking lot on the property and yet we were charged almost $12 a night to park.

Called to try to get an early check in due to arriving a bit earlier than expected however, we were told that our room was not available, which was OK so we asked while we waited if we could use the pool area or the restaurant until our room came available we were told no to call back later and see the room was available. After exploring around town a little bit and getting some food, we decided to head over to the hotel to see if the room was available at this time. We did have a room available for early check-in, but we were told that the restaurant was shut down due to the Person running it went on maternity leave so therefore they were scrambling to find someone to work. It would’ve been nice to know this before as having a restaurant lounge area was part of the reason we booked the hotel. Our room was decent however, the bathroom was not very clean. You could see mold growing all over the shower area. We went down to use the pool for a bit it was very unwelcoming unkept over brush everywhere just very unappealing. We did not stay down there very long overall would not recommend this hotel to anyone we know or stay here ever again.

We were charged for a city view and put in a corner room. The guy at the front was NOT accommodating at all. He put us in a corner room and told us the city view is too loud. Dirty glasses in room. Room was tiny and uncomfortable. Waste of money and pool area very dirty

This property is in a great location and the front desk staff are usually very pleasant and welcoming, however, this is my second time staying here within the past couple of months and both times there has been hair strands in the bathroom and it's clear the bathrooms were not cleaned after the previous guest checked out. Also, don't pay for breakfast. They only offer breakfast until 9:30am which is really early to stop breakfast. I missed it 2 of the 3 days and when I was early enough, the kitchen staff, with a bit of an attitude, told me they were busy cooking for a wedding so I could not order breakfast but that they had prepared sandwiches if I wanted one.

Very nice stay at the hotel. Location was excellent for us and the hotel and room were clean and well kept. There was remodeling happening on the ground floor but it was well hidden. Our main interests were springs and bicycle rides in the area and this hotel / location was excellent. The only thing I would change is request a room opposite the main street. It's not busy but with the emphasis on who can make the most noise with their car or motorcycle, the balcony gets noisy. The sliding door does keep the noise out so we slept very well.

Everything was just as you would want and expect from a hotel. Great room, very comfortable bed, all of the amenities were easily accessible. The workout room was clean. Would totally recommend and will stay here the next time I’m in town.

We met our sis in law here on our way to Daytona. Love the little town! We walked to the sandwich shop down the street and it was delicious! Hotel was quiet and our room with the balcony was just right, a little noisy but it was still great.

Reached the hotel at around 2:30 am.I already informed the reception by phone beforehand about my late check in. . Though it was quite late and after a tiring day long day flight delay; upon arrival there the main sliding door was locked and I couldn’t see the receptionist. Waited a little bit for a while around and not feeling secure outside there with my wife and nobody around. So I just pushed a little bit on the sliding door which opened up. Then came the receptionist from somewhere around very upset and reprimanded me for my action which could have apparently broken the sliding door. He mentioned about a phone and a notice glued somewhere by the side which didn’t catch my attention. Well that was really a warm welcome for sure but the other staff were really nice.To my opinion I highly recommend either a security guard at the entrance of this premises or at least the receptionist on Night Shift seated at the front desk and be seen by guests arriving for late check in! My apologies if that hurts the hotel administrator but that’s my sincere suggestions! Awaiting for a reply! The rest I really enjoyed at my stay!

We have stayed at the Marriott Courtyard Historic DeLand before and it was great. This time not so much. Bathroom door did not close and tv did not work. The management is at fault here as the lack of employees is not fair to the guests or the employees. No one was there to fix the tv or the door as the employees to do that were out or gone for the day. Also there was another guest shouting at the front desk employee (Yikes!) Not a good look Marriott.

When arrived was given a room under some construction. Given another room after new employee was walked through the process by Robert. Robert was helpful but not the rest of the front desk staff. Call the day before leaving to make sure someone would be at the counter to check me out at 6am. Robert said there is some one 24/7. Unfortunately, I waited over 15 minutes for someone to show up.

I have stayed at this property 2 years in row for my daughter's UDA Dance Camp at Stetson University and I absolutely love this hotel. Bedding is amazing, bathroom is amazing. Staff is super friendly and the hotel has been extremely quiet for a June stay. Will definitely be back next year.

We needed to be close to the Stetson campus and you couldn’t ask for a better location. It’s walking distance to the campus and to the downtown area where there were lots of cool and different shops and places to dine. There was also some kind of arts and crafts type festival going on Friday night but not sure if that’s all the time or we just timed it right. Staff was very nice and professional and attentive to our needs. Overall a great experience and we’d definitely stay there again.

The kitchen/bar is only open for breakfast. In spite of the web-site advertising and signage all over the lobby area to the contrary. Also, my upgrade to a "city view" room was on the 2nd floor and the view of a 5-story building and an empty parking lot was not what I envisioned. And no coffee in the lobby before 6:30 on business days.

The room as fine - clean and quiet. The toilets were the old low ones and should be updated SOON! The charge for 2 coffees and 2 packaged yogurt/fruit/granola cups with mostly grapes and pineapple was $28!
