The hotel has a great roof terrace and we were lucky to visit during the Swift / House Martin season, so we were treated to a spectacular show in the early evenings. Beware that breakfast is not served in the hotel. We had to walk approximately 10 minutes to another hotel for breakfast. The bed was very creaky and not comfortable. However, the hotel location is excellent and very close to the 'Riva' seafront.

Nice place. Situated in the middle of everything. Make sure to arrange parking before arrival. The elevator is on the second floor so you have to walk up two flights of stairs before reaching it then another two flights before getting to our room. Were promised a bottle of sparkling wine which we had to request. Although bottles of Moet are pictured what they delivered was pretty lousy. No ice available in the hotel.

Located perfectly for quick access to boats, transportation, shopping and dining. The rooftop is accessible and has lovely views and ample seating. The door is somewhat hidden down the alley, which makes it feel very safe. The staff was very helpful and responsive. There is only an elevator from the second floor, so if carrying your own bag up a flight of stairs is a challenge, make sure you have someone who can help you. Excellent hotel overall!

Location couldnt be better. Front desk was smiling and helpful with questions for local info. 1st floor has a flight of stairs before the elecator if you are elderly or have bad knees. Awesome rooftop patio also to enjoy. Would stay again.

Quaint hotel in the heart of town near the shops and restaurants. Walking distance to beaches. Only down side is the elevator starts one floor up (1st floor) so you do have to carry your bags upstairs to that point. Great place though and not right on the busy square where noise might be an issue.

This hotels location is fantastic for Split Old Town and day trips, boats etc. It is a lovely building and my room was clean and comfortable. The lift goes from the first floor so from reception there are 2 flights of stairs. The receptionist helped with my case when I arrived but I had an early departure and the reception isn't manned at that time so I managed. This could be a real problem for some guests. Breakfast is in a restaurant about 10 mins walk away. There are 4 things to choose from and you get one coffee or tea and a juice. The breakfast was nice but being served between 8 and 10am didn't work when I had trips booked. The hotel location means there are plenty of other options for breakfast.

Entire property smelled moldy, and felt very damp. Mattress was old and the room decor not as shown on photos. Shower was extremely slippery and towels were thread bare. We travel extensively, and while this location was excellent, and the staff nice...I could not recomend this hotel.

Posizione centrale nella città vecchia di Split. Difficoltà a trovare parcheggi nelle vicinanze quello che avrebbe consigliato l'hotel costava 40 euro al giorno (decisamente troppo)!. La pulizia purtroppo lasciava a desiderare, ci siamo accorti che il pezzettino di carta o altro caduto la sera prima, l'indomani lo trovavamo ancora lì!! Le lenzuola malgrado abbiamo soggiornato 4 notti non ci sono state cambiate, gli asciugamani non sempre ne trovavamo a sufficienza per 2 persone e dovevamo chiederle. Posizione strategica.

Friendly and helpful staff, throughout our stay. The hotel was in a great location, in the old town of Split. The room was spacious and clean. The one thing missing from the room were drawes to place clothing. Although there was a wardrobe. Breakfast was included in the price, but was at a nearby hotel. The variety and quality of the food at breakfast was good.

There is very little not to like about this establishment. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. All the amenities worked great. The bed was not the most comfortable I have ever slept in, but it was OK. The property has an upstairs terrace where you can look out over the city, which is handy if you just want to chill out. I would say that the elevator is on the first floor so no matter what you have to climb some stairs. That is not a problem for me, but could be a problem for other people. Breakfast is not included. But you can purchase breakfast at one of their Sister hotels down the street. I did that one of the nights and the breakfast was good. The walk may be inconvenient and/or annoying for some people. And lastly, I will say that the location is absolutely fantastic with great access to everything going on in old town Split.

lage top, mitten in der altstadt! hübsche dachterrasse mit toller sicht, kein barbetrieb, einfach nur aussicht. doppelzimmer winzig, es stank sehr muffig. fensterladen war voller vieher, konnte nicht richtig geöffnet werden und sicht schrecklich, auf stinkenden innenhof. frühstück - obwohl inklusiv - musste in schwesternhotel eingenommen werden ca 6 gehminuten entfernt. hotel war enttäuschend, viel zu teuer. und wir können die guten bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen.

The air conditioner was not working in 34 degrees! We could not sleep. We told them and they said they’ll fix it and it was marginally better during the next day but again at night it was merely a fan… terrible experience. There is no place to safely store luggage and the check out was at 10!

Great location and large comfortable rooms. No elevator until you get to the 1st floor Bathroom only had a tub with a handheld shower head which wasn’t ideal. The rooftop patio on the hotel however is the hidden gem of this place.

What a great hotel and an amazing location. We loved the historic building with modern amenities. If you can, book the top floor room with a private terrace. It was spectacular. There was a concert in the square just below and we were able to listen from our terrace.

Location in old town Split was great. Room was spacious. That said there was not a view at all from our room, relatively large bathroom, but no shower.....just an old bathtub with handheld shower. Without shower curtain made it difficult and messy. No elevator and no assistance with luggage. Definitely not worth the money spent.

The staff who checked us in placed us in a wrong smaller room on the first night but day after Bianca moved us to the Deluxe room that we booked/paid for - thank you Bianca. Deluxe room is spacious, clean, quiet even though there’s a restaurant down below. Comfortable bed. Hotel has a lot of stairs, not suitable for those with mobility issues. We had an incident when the elevator door failed to open and for a few minutes we were stuck inside. Since then we did not use the elevator for the next two days. We will not stay in this hotel again for the reason that when we got stuck in the elevator and pressed the emergency call button nobody answered.

This hotel was the perfect place to stay in Old Town. Sleeping in this historic building made our visit to Split really special. You can't beat the location -- easy to walk to restaurants and shops. The room was large and bright. We never heard any outside noise with the windows closed. Amazing views from the rooftop too. The staff is super friendly (especially Sonja). Definitely stay at Plaza Marchi when you're in Split!!

It is perfectly located in the old quarter, and a great escape from the crowds. The staff is most welcoming; Bianca is outstanding with her guest service skills, she went out of her way to insure everything was just so! Our room was outstanding; spacious, comfortable bed, great A/C, and a private terrace with a majestic view of the city, mountains, and water. We would stay here again.

The staff is most welcoming; Bianca is outstanding with her guest service skills, she went out of her way to insure everything was just so! Room was lovely, although fridge wasnt working and when i asked for it to be checked out i didnt get any reply, feedback or replacement which a disappointment, considering it was a very hot few days that i was there and had no where to keep water cold.

Beautiful small boutique hotel built in the Dioclician Palace walls, it’s very picturesque. The girls at reception are very nice. The room we had was overlooking the Piazza Marchi and was an amazing big room, beautifully decorated and so spacious. The only negative was that we were told the wrong info for the parking garage. There is no parking at the hotel as it is located in the pedestrian area of the city. They gave us a name of parking that we couldn’t find and weren’t able to reach reception. If u have to park, it’s basically the big public garage.

We had an incident when the elevator door failed to open and for a few minutes we were stuck inside. Since then we did not use the elevator for the next two days. We will not stay in this hotel again for the reason that when we got stuck in the elevator and pressed the emergency call button nobody answered.
The staff who checked us in placed us in a wrong smaller room on the first night but day after Bianca moved us to the Deluxe room that we booked/paid for - thank you Bianca. Deluxe room is spacious, clean, quiet even though there’s a restaurant down below. Comfortable bed. Hotel has a lot of stairs, not suitable for those with mobility issues. The hotel was hard to find initially. It would be great if they had a sign to which door is the actual entrance. The room was cute and clean. The shower door was a little hard to work with because it kept coming off the rails. I let the staff know and they were super helpful and accommodating.

Such a great location in the heart of Old Town. Room was beautiful! Was overall pretty easy to find. Staff was SO helpful and gave great recommendations for the city. Allowed me to store my luggage for a few hours so I didn't have to haul it around the city before I left.

This hotel was the perfect place to stay in Old Town. Sleeping in this historic building made our visit to Split really special. You can't beat the location -- easy to walk to restaurants and shops. The room was large and bright. We never heard any outside noise with the windows closed. Amazing views from the rooftop too. The staff is super friendly (especially Sonja). Definitely stay at Plaza Marchi when you're in Split!!

If you are going to Split, you MUST stay here! We arrived by bus and it was a quick easy walk to the hotel. Bianca was working at the reception when we arrived and she was absolutely lovely! Very kind, thoughtful and helpful. Our room was unlike any we stayed in on our adventures in Europe. Absolutely beautiful! We were perfectly located to be able to shop, dine and sightsee. The hotel was very clean and again, the folks running this place were all incredibly wonderful and helpful! You need to stay here if you are staying in Split!!

This hotels location is fantastic for Split Old Town and day trips, boats etc. It is a lovely building and my room was clean and comfortable. The lift goes from the first floor so from reception there are 2 flights of stairs. The receptionist helped with my case when I arrived but I had an early departure and the reception isn't manned at that time so I managed. This could be a real problem for some guests. Breakfast is in a restaurant about 10 mins walk away. There are 4 things to choose from and you get one coffee or tea and a juice. The breakfast was nice but being served between 8 and 10am didn't work when I had trips booked. The hotel location means there are plenty of other options for breakfast.

Great location bang in the middle of old town, room size was really good too.. friendly and helpful staff and good value for money but there were a few issues like, stink in the entrance carpet and bathroom door was stuck due to misalignment and there weren't looked into despite multiple reminders..

Fantastic location in the middle of the old town next to Diocletian’s palace and 5 min walk to the seafront. Surrounded by all the attractions and restaurants. The hotel has a quirky restored feel and is very comfortable, rooms are spacious and very clean. Really enjoyed our stay there and would recommend.

Plaza Marchi is a totally unique property inside the Old City on the border of Diocletian's place and the Venetian period buildings. It is connected to the ruins of the oldest church in Split. It is old and has enormous character. If you appreciate these things, you will love it. Each room is distinctive (and we had 4 rooms) Rooms are spacious, beds are super comfortable, and you really feel a part of ancient history. There are 3 gelato shops within 50 yards and 2 minutes to the promenade and 5 minutes to the heart of Diocletian's Palace. Countless amazing restaurants within moments of the front door. Once you get your bearings where the building and front door are, the rest is carefree. We had two cars, and the parking spots were not convenient. But, what do you expect in an old city that is 1800 years old.

Quaint hotel in the heart of town near the shops and restaurants. Walking distance to beaches. Only down side is the elevator starts one floor up (1st floor) so you do have to carry your bags upstairs to that point. Great place though and not right on the busy square where noise might be an issue.

The hotel has a great roof terrace and we were lucky to visit during the Swift / House Martin season, so we were treated to a spectacular show in the early evenings. Beware that breakfast is not served in the hotel. We had to walk approximately 10 minutes to another hotel for breakfast. The bed was very creaky and not comfortable. However, the hotel location is excellent and very close to the 'Riva' seafront.

The one thing missing from the room were drawes to place clothing. Although there was a wardrobe. Breakfast was included in the price, but was at a nearby hotel. The variety and quality of the food at breakfast was good.

There is very little not to like about this establishment. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfortable. All the amenities worked great. The bed was not the most comfortable I have ever slept in, but it was OK. The property has an upstairs terrace where you can look out over the city, which is handy if you just want to chill out. I would say that the elevator is on the first floor so no matter what you have to climb some stairs. That is not a problem for me, but could be a problem for other people. Breakfast is not included. But you can purchase breakfast at one of their Sister hotels down the street. I did that one of the nights and the breakfast was good. The walk may be inconvenient and/or annoying for some people. And lastly, I will say that the location is absolutely fantastic with great access to everything going on in old town Split.

It is provided at a sister hotel which is a 1km round trip walk. When raised with the hotel we were told to raise the issue with Expedia and they have stated they are bound by the hotels policy so only offering one day of breakfast in refund even though we did not use two. Do not book the breakfast option.

Great hotel at the great location. Excellent place to stay at Split. The only concur Is the breakfasts - it is arranged in different hotel about 7 min walk. And the breakfast has pretty low quality - I not recommend to reserve hotel with the breakfast

The property was quiet clean and the staff friendly. Only problem is no food is served here so breakfast was a trek to another hotel. There is nothing to eat if you are vegan on the breakfast menu so I would advise booking room only and take your own coffee as the room coffee is not vegan it contains milk powder.

The air conditioned room was life saving due to the heat wave affecting Split while I was visiting. The terrace had an incredible view of the Old Town and was wonderful to sit on at sunset when it was cooled down outside. The bedroom and bathroom I had was very spacious as well. I would definitely stay here again if I visited Split in the future!

Staff are excellent (thank you to Sonya and Jimmy), location is excellent; it’s right off the harbour main strip and perfectly placed in the old town. Aircon and TV were the only dissatisfying areas; aircon was weak during temps of 35°+. TV had no English channels. Wrote to management after our stay, but received disappointing response stating ‘we didn’t go to Split to watch TV’. Nice spacious room 401, good powerful shower. Nice rooftop area with high chairs and tables but not cozy, didn’t feel I wanted to spend time relaxing there.
