Check in was easy and staff was polite and efficient. I booked the least expensive room in the area last minute so expectations werent high. It turned out to be a nice and comfortable room with plenty of space. Interior was great and location was nice and conveniently close to downtown and several good food options. The room is located directly off a cement parking lot with no windows out the back so there is no view and nothing pleasing about the setting. It is great for a comfortable place to sleep.

Super close to 1188 Brewing & DQ, directly behind The Outpost (3 meals and a bar). Very simple, a bit dated, but that’s not something I’m concerned with. Parking in front of the rooms so you can feel good about leaving your toys outside.

After a long drive we easily found our hotel in this small town. The staff were extremely friendly & helpful with very quick registration. The room appeared recently updated, clean, with a very comfortable bed and all the amenities. The area was quiet with ample parking. I would not hesitate to return. The town is small & restaurants are close by. Hope your stay is as enjoyable as ours.

This place wasn't terrible but if you can afford to stay elsewhere, you should. Room was clean but small and outdated. Bathroom door stuck really badly and bathroom was tiny. No A/C, just a window unit. We did like the parking lot for our motorcycles, and The Outpost restaurant (adjacent to hotel) was REALLY good and affordable. I would not stay here again.

The property had a clean and tidy appearance. Check in was quick and easy. The room was spacious, beds comfortable and very clean. We spent two nights and slept very well both nights. The room has nice air conditioning and we did not hear any road noise at all during our stay. We will stay there again for sure. It is not the newest accommodations however we found it very comfortable. We have stayed at many Wyndham properties over the years and Dreamers Lodge was a notch above many of the Wyndham hotel properties where we have stayed. Dreamers Lodge is a good choice to stay.

It was quiet and the location was convenient. Check in was courteous and quick. The room, while very dated, was clean and linens were fresh. However, it took many minutes to get hot water to the faucets and it cooled off quickly when shut off, a real bummer on a cold night. The shower/tub is in need of major repair, with substantial staining and general poor maintenance. The vanity sink stopper would not stay closed. Heating is by electric baseboard. Room was slow to warm up but was finally comfortable through the remainder of our stay. WiFi is supposed to be available but we were not informed of it at check in. Over-all, we felt we were over-charged for the level of quality of the room.

I can’t believe that this was the best place in town. Someone bumped up the ratings, don’t be duped. Bathroom was terrible, I turned on the shower and brown water came out. There was a nail in the floor. Two old recliners that were dirty and looked as if they found them on the street. Towels were even old and worn. If you can continue driving, do it!

I was shocked that this property received good reviews on Expedia which is why I chose it. Our room smelled awful(mildew, old, musty) and I immediately checked for bed bugs because it seemed like that kind of place. I would not recommend.

The front desk staff person was friendly. The room was clean and very dated. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. It made a loud noise when you sat down on it. There are not many hotel options in John Day. I might try one of the other ones.

The room was big and had an awesome hi-pressure, hi-flow shower. It had plenty of outlets. The towels and bathroom smelled odd. The beds were hard. When we got there, the window by the door was unlocked, so I locked it. The next day, while we were gone, housekeeping cleaned the room and when we returned we noticed that it was unlocked again! That is not safe! Why would they unlock the window? Most of the windows in nearby rooms were also unlocked!

The place is dated for sure. Old beat up stained chairs to sit in. Mattress was old for sure. LOL :) Small window AC is noisy! LOL… The exhaust fan in the bathroom was broken, which is important to most people. Pretty pathetic overall… We won’t be staying here again in the future.

This property is a call back to the 90’s. With its fun color on the outside to everything on the inside it screams 90’s. Now that’s not a bad thing, the tv is new, the bed is comfortable, the water pressure is outstanding and the heat of the water is top notch. Very comfortable stay for a decent price.

We travel all over the world with our service animal whom is a poodle, and does not even shed. The front desk staff at this motel not only didnt care that she was a service animal, but charged us an additional $10.00 cleaning fee which was not stated anywhere and was not refundable. Also, the sink faucet only produced cold water.

We stayed at the Dreamers Lodge only one night, Saturday, May 20. But the service was exemplary. Ken was on duty in the office, and he gave us a good recommendation on a neighboring restaurant. But he also looked us up in that restaurant the next day to give us a cushion we had accidentally left in our room when departing. That was an act I thought worthy of a special commendation for "meritorious service" above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you so much, Ken!!

This is a perfect stopover or stay if you’re doing activities anywhere in the area. The owners take great care of the property and ensure everything is clean and ready for you - it’s an adorable little motel! It’s not the fanciest place you’ve ever seen, but priced appropriately and we will look for reasons to stay here again. (And don’t sleep on the restaurant across the parking lot - it was delicious!)

We kozen dit motel vanwege de hoge waardering. Waar die op gebaseerd is , is totaal onduidelijk. We werden vriendelijk en behulpzaam ontvangen, maar de kamer bleek ontzettend gedateerd.
