Villa Saturno

The actual property we would not know, because on arriving we were rebooted to another one of his properties. We paid for a queen bed with a balcony and on site parking. Reviews stated an amazing breakfast on site. We instead were moved to an old building five floors up withnthe scariest and old delegated elevator. Street parking if you could find it. A double bed no balcony, because my husband smokes and has mobility issues. Breakfast was around the corner to be in a cafe, was closed. When we contacted our hist he told us to buy our own and hung up on my husband . No restitution or apology given. When I contacted Hotels.com we were told you should have contacted immediately and did nothing. So it left us with a horrible two days and won't be returning to Tropea, Italy

I had to put only three stars because the room was not what we booked. We book the baloney room with the sea view. The first day we arrived and he told us that there was a problem so we would be in another building. The room was completely different with a bathroom literally covered in mold and no sea view. Two days later he moved us to the “real room” which was much cleaner and looked like the photos except that there was so sea view at all and the “balcony” was just a door to the driveway. When I asked him about it he told me that Hotels.com intentionally lies on the listing to get the room sold…which is obviously just what he did. And then he said that there wasn’t even a room with a sea view but after I insisted there was a price different and a photo to pick the sea view, he told us he would get us moved to the right room the next day. At breakfast the next morning he just pretended the conversation didn’t happen. The hotel is nice enough and the breakfast was good but it was obviously a frustrating situation.

One of the best B&B I ever had!!! Danilo is such in amazing person and his breakfast was amazing. Room was clean,big and we had our little garden it was beautiful.

Hotel is beautiful, clean, modern and fresh looking. Ideally situated to walk into the old town. Staff very friendly and great breakfast. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The place is on a quiet street overlooking the sea outside the old town, but we were happy to walk everywhere. The attentive host serves breakfast with some home baked cakes and happy to help with any requests. We had a fully equipped kitchen and a big terrace, so decent apartment with great view to the sea and the nearby hotel with charming church clock. Would recommend and return.
