Just spent 3 nights at the Bulloch house. A very charming home, furnished in history with lovely antiques and stained glass throughout. We stayed in the Godfrey suite that we found spacious and comfortable and we enjoyed the balcony from our suite. Breakfast each morning was an event, an elegant dining room, a lavish presentation served with beautiful china and lovely decor. The food would rival any five star restaurant. Michele is the perfect hostess. The house could use a touch up here and there, but that did not detract from the overall charm. The location of the property was ideally situated for our visit to Gananoque. Thank you for a wonderful visit

Lovely, historic home! Owner Michele is a warm and welcoming hostess. Great care and attention to detail is evident in the decor, thoughtful extras for guests and exceptionally prepared breakfast! Our suite accessed a wonderful wraparound 2nd floor balcony. What a treat! Highly recommend this property and encourage people to visit the quaint town of Gananoque.

We had a lovely stay in the Gananoque suite! The B&B was a beautiful Victorian home, our hostess Michele was friendly and accomodating. The breakfasts were delicious, and tailored to our tastes. The only disappointment was not being able to try a tea service- we didn't give enough notice. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Gananoque!

Accueil parfait et chaleureux par Michèle qui a été aux petits soins pour nous et merveilleux petit-déjeuner dans un cadre exceptionnel. Localisé parfaitement pour accéder à la croisière des 1000 îles.

Schöner Schein, gesundheitsbedenkliche Realität – DRINGEND abzuraten! Von außen ist das B&B sehr beeindruckend und schön. Man merkt, dass das Haus alt ist, aber es hat Charme. Auch die Eigentümerin, Michelle, war beim Empfang sehr bemüht und freundlich. Der erste Eindruck war daher sehr positiv und wir freuten uns auf unseren Aufenthalt. Leider wich dieser positive Eindruck sofort einem Schock, als wir unser Zimmer betraten. Die Sauberkeit war nicht nur weit unter jedem akzeptablen Standard, sondern gesundheitsbedenklich. Überall lag enorm viel Staub und Dreck, der Boden klebte und in den Ecken sowie an der Decke waren überall große Spinnweben zu sehen. Man muss davon ausgehen, dass bereits seit langer Zeit das Zimmer nicht mehr gereinigt wurde. Die Handtücher waren augenscheinlich nicht gewaschen und wiesen Zahnpastaflecken auf. In der Dusche war Schimmel sichtbar. Das Schlimmste aber war das Bett: Die Decken waren sichtlich unrein, mit vielen Flecken, darunter Blutflecken, sowie vielen fremden Haaren. Die Zustände waren so unerträglich, dass wir uns gezwungen sahen, nach der ersten Nacht abzureisen und für die restlichen Tage ein zweites Hotel zu buchen. Wir wurden durch die guten Bewertungen und schönen Bilder getäuscht - diese haben nichts mit der Realität zu tun. Leider zeigte man uns auch keinerlei Kulanz bezüglich einer Rückerstattung der Kosten. Wir raten jedem DRINGEND davon ab, dieses B&B zu buchen.

Totally unacceptable It wasn't very clean. It was terribly small room with limited shelf and storage space and a very old soft bed. No air conditioning. Had to stay cool with fans blowing on our face most of night. The plumbing left a lot to be desired. The sink drainage was slow. The toilet almost overflowed before receding over time. The local power crashed the next morning before anticipated. Worried about using the facilities and anticipating problems for breakfast we were forced to leave early to seek relief elsewhere. Did not see smoke detectors and wasn't clear where alternate safe exits existed I believe a refund is warranted

A very unique place with lots of antiques. A clean room and a very comfy bed. The host Michèle was very nice and recommended an amazing restaurant which we loved. She also recommended places to go for hiking and we were not disappointed the view was amazing. Highly recommend this place!

Charming property! Beautiful room and nice atmosphere in common areas. Amazing breakfasts each morning in a fun communal dining room. Michele is a lovely host and manager. The only less than perfect thing to mention is a slightly finicky shower water temp, and could have used better bathroom toiletries, or should have known to bring my own.

We had an excellent stay at the Bulloch House Bed and Breakfast! The rooms were big, beautiful, and full of charm. The entire house is steeped in history, and one of the most unique aspects is the antique store built right into the home. It’s filled with stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces—each with a story behind it. Michelle was a wonderful host. She took the time to explain the fascinating history of the house, as well as many of the art pieces and antiques throughout. Her passion and knowledge really brought everything to life. Breakfast was absolutely delightful—healthy, delicious, and more than enough to satisfy us. I highly recommend this gem of a place and will definitely be back!

Michele was a very gracious host. The rooms are spacious and filled with antiques. Wonderful woodwork throughout the house. Breakfasts were tasty and worthy of a gourmand. Showers were great - good water pressure and nicely hot, after a day of sightseeing. Very walkable location to everywhere in the town. We will definitely be returning.

Place itself was lovely and very quaint. In room amenities were good like the wifi. I like the tea/coffee/ water facilities available too. However wasn’t so keen on the breakfast provided.....would have preferred a breakfast to order not a set breakfast menu. Also I don’t think my dairy intolerance was really understood or catered for appropriately.

Delightful bed and breakfast with beautifully appointed decor, featuring well chosen antiques and comfortable furniture. Our room was large and airy with king sized canopy bed and very large screen tv. We enjoyed a full breakfast in the morning with a couple of other guests. In all, a very pleasant experience.

Very nice B&B, Michelle was very friendly and accommodating. We had a wonderful breakfast experience with some of the other guests. The only suggestion is to find a new solution to air conditioning with fan, it was a bit noisy.Possibly a quiet ceiling fan would work with the window air conditioner.

Man muss davon ausgehen, dass bereits seit langer Zeit das Zimmer nicht mehr gereinigt wurde. Die Handtücher waren augenscheinlich nicht gewaschen und wiesen Zahnpastaflecken auf. In der Dusche war Schimmel sichtbar. Das Schlimmste aber war das Bett: Die Decken waren sichtlich unrein, mit vielen Flecken, darunter Blutflecken, sowie vielen fremden Haaren. Die Zustände waren so unerträglich, dass wir uns gezwungen sahen, nach der ersten Nacht abzureisen und für die restlichen Tage ein zweites Hotel zu buchen. Wir wurden durch die guten Bewertungen und schönen Bilder getäuscht - diese haben nichts mit der Realität zu tun. Leider zeigte man uns auch keinerlei Kulanz bezüglich einer Rückerstattung der Kosten. Wir raten jedem DRINGEND davon ab, dieses B&B zu buchen.

The Bulloch House served as the location for our anniversary this year and we cannot say enough how wonderful the stay was! Gananoque itself is a fantastic vacation spot but this bed and breakfast took the cake. From the moment we arrived we were pampered with incredible service. Thank you for having such an excellent establishment and we cannot wait to visit again!

Michelle is a gracious host. She responded well to messages about early arrival because of boat tour and she was very conscientious about my allergies. Michelle provided us with a restaurant recommendation that turned out great -Reva. Breakfast was thoughtful and delicious. Room was comfortable and well equipped. Home has interesting antiques. Porch is beautiful and home is lovely from the street. Thank you very much Michelle for a lovely stay.

Avoid this place!!! We were awoken around 4am by a swooping BAT that knocked a water bottle off my bedside table. My husband was able to chase it into the hallway but of course we didn't sleep after that. When we complained and asked for our money back, the hosts just laughed at us and said, "Bats are harmless. There's no need to be upset."

We stopped for one night in Ganaoque on our way home, and the stay did not disappoint. We booked the smallest room, and for longer stays I would recommend a larger suite, but it was absolutely wonderful. The hosts were very communicative with the check in, when we arrived the check in was quick, and we had a look around the property. The home itself is beautifully appointed. The location is great, we found some good dining options close by. I can't say enough about the breakfast, it was one of the best I have had in a while. I would definitely recommend the 1000 Islands B&B, and hope to return at some point in the future.

Our two night stay at The Bulloch House in July was glorious. It is a beautiful old property with some amazing antiques throughout. The room was unique with awesome decorations and a great balcony to relax on. Breakfast was incredible. We came to the area to tour the 1000 islands. This was the perfect location to catch the ferry on a cruise. The town itself is cute and has some wonderful places to eat. I would highly recommend staying here!

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and my birthday in Qananonque staying at the 1000 Islands B&B Bulloch House. Our host was most gracious, attended to our every need, and provided a spectacular breakfast each morning to fortify us for the day’s activities. The Bulloch House is conveniently located in walking distance to the visitors center, parks, many, many different ethnic restaurants and several boat tours to explore the 1000 Islands and Boldt Castle on Heart Island. The B&B was also very convenient for us to explore Kingston, a nearby city on a rainy day during our stay. There is so much more to explore in the Qananonque area that we’ll definitely return to the Bulloch House and visit our host and area again.

The entire house is steeped in history, and one of the most unique aspects is the antique store built right into the home. It’s filled with stunning, one-of-a-kind pieces—each with a story behind it. Michelle was a wonderful host. She took the time to explain the fascinating history of the house, as well as many of the art pieces and antiques throughout. Her passion and knowledge really brought everything to life. Breakfast was absolutely delightful—healthy, delicious, and more than enough to satisfy us. Place itself was lovely and very quaint. In room amenities were good like the wifi. I like the tea/coffee/ water facilities available too. However wasn’t so keen on the breakfast provided.....would have preferred a breakfast to order not a set breakfast menu. Also I don’t think my dairy intolerance was really understood or catered for appropriately.

Michele, our hostess, was amazing! She was so kind, and paid particular attention to anyone’s special needs. Her breakfasts were spectacular and she ensured everyone’s preferences and dietary requirements were met. The property was beautiful, the room so cozy and well set up. Particular attention to details for comfort, snacks, drinks, and any dishes or room accessories were available. I highly recommend and plan on going back!!!!
