Element by Marriott Overland Park

I completely enjoyed my 3 night stay. Staff friendly and helpful, offers a real hot breakfast - wonderful surprise. I enjoyed the pool and was able to do my water therapy even when kids in the pool. Walking distance to a variety of food and entertainment. The price was right as The Element is in a pricey neighborhood. Property a little dated but everything worked well, looked good.

One of the cleanest hotels I’ve ever been in not very many hotels like this. Have a spot where I can park my tractor trailer excellent service, great atmosphere.

Many nice extras like the Happy Hour beverages and appetizers. Very clean. Like the 24 hour coffee. Bed and pillow were comfortable.

It was better than expected, it was amazing! From check in to the amenities, a really safe area, ample parking and comfy beds. I had never stayed with with this hotel chain before but I will seek it out for future stays in the KC area. Could not have been more pleasantly surprised!

Our first time staying at an Element property was delightful. At check-in, the front desk employee explained the unique features of staying here (filtered drinking water, cooked breakfast with a focused menu, free usage of bicycles, indoor saltwater pool, etc.). These features, along with the eco-friendly environment, are all favorable aspects of hotel properties in Europe. The hotel is within easy walking distance of several restaurants and bars. Plenty of parking is available. This is a great option when looking for a place to stay in Overland Park/Lealand areas.

The check in guy was, well, not overly friendly. The guy serving beer during the social hour had no idea what he was doing. Other than that it is a great place and has a social hour and a decent breakfast included.

Our trip to Overland Park started out at Aloft hotel (which was AWFUL) and we came to Element, were able to check in last minute and they were amazing! The staff is very friendly, the facilities are great, the price was surprisingly low considering all the amenities! My daughter was on Spring Break and I was on a work trip. She was able to check out a bicycle and explore the town- definitely going to stay her next time I visit! It is a pet friendly hotel and smelled amazing too. We enjoyed seeing the little fir babies each day. The breakfast was delicious, it was a different fresh cooked eclectic choice each day and they also had fresh pastries, cereals, bread items, (even gluten free) oatmeal fruit and juices. They have a cappuccino maker on property available 24 hours- which saved me lots of Starbucks money. They had an evening happy hour with complimentary wine and local beer, plus a tea time before bed.I can't say enough oabout this gem of a hotel tucked away in this little town!

The woman who checked us in was super friendly and informative. We checked in during tea time and got to enjoy complimentary fresh, hot herbal tea. The room was spacious. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner. The shower had hair that definitely wasn’t ours. Overall, it’s a quiet and safe hotel in a nice little area. I would stay here again.

Great stay! Clean & comfortable!

Night staff was friendly kudos to them. The room floor was dirty and the pillows were so flat. Other than that I enjoyed my stay.

I always love the breakfasts, especially the fresh muffins. If there were one negative thing, one day, I ran out of hot water in the shower.

The property was newer and well maintained. This was my first time at an Element and though it was generally very good, it was missing aspects that i like when choosing Marriotts for travel. the breakfasts were very good and the chef was amazing. She tracked everybdy who ordered and made sure we got our food when it was our time. The room was clean and newer also but very minimalist. A bed, a desk wih chair and bathroom. There was no where to relax in the room other than the bed. Overall a very good stay but I am not sure it is right for me.

I have stayed here twice. The lobby is very welcoming and the staff are friendly. Breakfast is great and there are herbal tea bars, wine tasting and other nice social events every day. First visit I had a studio type room with a kitchen area (fridge, microwave etc), so lots of space to be comfortable. Second time I paid approx $200 for a basic room (eg NO kitchen area) and I did not even have a place to sit to watch the TV. There was a tiny foot stool in a corner, a desk and the bed. Yes, it was modern and clean, but a comfortable arm chair to sit on was definitely missing! So, yes, it's great, but do not expect any frills in the basic rooms, the nicest part of the hotel is the options they provide in the lobby.

The rooms were spacious and tidy, great in room kitchen with everything you could need and a large fridge. It was very quiet and the beds were soft and comfortable.

The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. I did find it difficult to control the temperature in the room. I ended up leaving the fan on continously instead of automatic. Location was very convenient for us.

Element made our stay wonderful Everyone at the front desk always greeted us warmly, especially Liz. I had some trouble with the hotel’s computer and printer and Liz was a huge help at solving my issues. Liz is gracious and friendly and was a standout as far as making us feel welcome. Camille was amazing, too. Camille always had a smile on her face and made a big deal over our dog which won over our hearts. Olga’s breakfasts were homemade and not the ordinary breakfast fare. Element stood out with their small touches, like their dishes and sliced strawberries for breakfast. We loved the set up of the room, as well. There were a lot of good restaurants around, and there was plenty of space to walk our dog. This studio-like hotel is by far our favorite.

The young front desk attendant was not as welcoming as I would have liked. So I took off one star. The other two gentlemen were wonderful!

Tried checking in at 2pm since we are a bonvoy member and was told we would have to wait til 3pm. Explained to the gentleman at the front desk we would be back late then as we had 3 soccer games starting at 3 til 9pm. He said no problem I will hold your room for check in as soon as it’s done being cleaned as that’s why we couldn’t check in at that time. We get back at 9pm to then thought there was no issues. We get to our room and realize we have the handicap room, we get a room that only has two queen beds instead of what we booked which was the queen beds with a sofa sleeper as I had my three children & husband. Call the front desk Joseph was rude and said I don’t care what you booked did we give you a room number when you reserved it? No so you will take what we have and this is all we have. I told him about trying to check in early so we could drop off our luggage and that gentlemen assured us our room was saved just still needing to be cleaned. He said well we had to give that away for people who arrived sooner. He told me I could leave or deal with it. I explained there was a reason we booked that room and now I had to have 3 children sleep together in a queen bed and then me and my husband. It wasn’t adequate enough space. He suggested one sleep on the floor! Really! Would you Joseph? The rooms with 2 queens were cheaper than the one I booked as well. Credit no? Resolution no? Horrible customer service yes!!! Will never stay here again.

Kept you near the main traffic routes through town without feeling like you were living by a freeway.

This property appeared to be new. Our room was perfect for us. There are a lot of restaurants nearby.

Loved it,we loved the area all new local restaurants and shops. Definitely coming back!

Everyone was very kind! I think our only complaint was breakfast not being more kid friendly.

Really delightful place. Was on a week long driving vacation, and this was the last place we stayed and the best place we stayed. Breakfast was not the standard "make your own waffle and eat the soggy scrambled eggs". They make their special of the day to order (hot food) as well as other items like pastries, yogurt, fruit. Would definitely stay here again if my travels take me this way.

Breakfast is healthy and delicious

The hotel has a very relaxed vibe with lots of open space in the lobby. It had nice touches like a happy hour with snacks in the evening. Herbal tea brewing in 3 choices of pots to have at bedtime. And a superb included breakfast which included a cook preparing breakfast that changed daily along with the regular fare. The room had a stocked kitchen, a filtered water option, a nice shower with a strong head.
