Complimentary happy hour with local SB wines and beers was awesome. The gym facility was very clean and new equipment, including a Peleton bike. The staff was super friendly and helpfu. Our thermostat needed new batteries and the staff was there within minutes of us calling the front desk. The rooms are super cute and nice renovated. The lobby area has a nice fire place and a cool little record room. Very convenient location.

Just the perfect, fun, easy location to visit a kid in grad school at UCSB. The music in the bar on Saturday was wonderful ... to sit by the fireplace and pool outside, look at the stars and enjoy the night with music was wonderful. It is a remodeled motel but done very well. Great location. Slept well on a comfy bed. Shower had GOOD water pressure ... a rarity in California. Bar is great. Restaurant is great. Take a deep breath and love the vide at this funky little place. Will definitely stay again ... until she graduates :)

This has been one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at recently. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was incredibly clean! They also cleaned daily, unlike many other hotels now. The restaurant was not only convenient, but had amazing service and delicious food (at least for the meal we had there). The room was really small, much smaller than I’m used to, but again, it was spotless and had everything we could’ve needed. The only true con was that the mini fridge didn’t work, which we didn’t realize until our last day, as we went to throw out the leftovers that had been in there for two days.

The room is small, does not have a fan - so all the moisture after taking a shower stays in the room and makes it really stuffy. By the end of the stay we noticed a mold in the corner of our room that erased all the good impression about this place, unfortunately. You have to pay for water they put in your room, coffee in the room is free.

I love the aesthetic of this cute hotel. We only stayed one night so we didn’t have a chance to use all of the facilities. The room was nicely appointed, clean and a good size for a king bed room. The hotel is in a great location, very close to UC Santa Barbara. The only thing we didn’t like about the room was the bathroom. The sliding door between the bathroom and room was so loud, when my husband tried to close it in the middle of the night it woke me out of a dead sleep. Additionally the door does not block the light at all.

This was our second time staying here (first was two years ago). The property has definitely declined in terms of maintenance and cleanliness over the last two years. And the walls are unbelievably thin. If you stay here, pray you don’t have noisy neighbors!

Really liked the funky midcentury modern decor of this hotel and while the rooms weren't luxurious, they were well-designed and reasonably spacious. A few notes (not dings, just to inform other travelers' thinking): the property definitely has a party vibe, there were people clustered around the open bar and firepits and pool area and it could get noisy. The air conditioning unit was also pretty noisy although powerful, which I appreciated, and the bed was comfortable (with good pillows) although I wish there had been a fitted sheet. Finally, the staff was friendly - there was some confusion about our included breakfast, which was part of the Expedia package I had paid for, but we got it sorted out.

Nice hotel, awesome little gym, nice staff, good location, safe and nice beds. If you are a business traveler, rooms don't have desks. No microwave in room. Bathroom has pocket door that is very loud if you have a partner you don't want to disturb.

This looks like it was simply a remodeled motel. They added vinyl floors, hipster decor, and that's about it. The walls are paper thin. We could hear the neighbors talking on both sides of us and then a dog was barking in a room the entire time before we left! The grounds are nice and the bed was comfy but I wouldn't recommend this "hotel" because it's not a 4 star hotel. It's a 3 star motel.

The location and vibe of this hotel is great. Super convenient for what we needed. Love the decor and the service was good. We had a first floor room facing the parking lot. It was a bit dark and stuffy, as there was no way to open a window and get fresh air into the room. And since it faced the parking lot, we needed to keep the shades down for privacy. I would definitely stay again, but next time I would try to be on an inside facing room.

My fiancé and I stayed at the Leta for a night. We needed to extended our check out time from noon to 3pm in order to have ample time to get ready for our engagement photo shoot. Typically hotels would charge us for this extension but the front desk supervisor Gabriel gifted us with the extension without charge. Absolutely great service and hospitality, the Leta hotel won our future business. Gabriel is excellent and very professional.

Check In was an absolute disaster due to only 1 computer working and the computer system that was down was the one that made the key cards. So no keys to our room. I stood in line for an hour to check in and then was told my room wasn’t ready even though I had called before arrival to check. So we killed 45 minutes in their restaurant area. Then I stood in line again hoping my room was ready for another 45 minutes. When the room was ready, a staff person opened our room and to my surprise there was no bed, just a pullout couch. Listing was misleading. I thought it had a bed and pullout couch. It was very inconvenient coming and going due to the no key situation. Some had to wait in the line over and over to get their rooms opened. Lovely staff and facilities BUT I’d be scared to stay here again if they had this issue again. Backup plan is needed when technology fails. I wasted 3 hours of our trip just trying to check in.

I was there for an entire week, and for 4 of those days there weren’t any room keys. The staff had to accompany each guest to their room each time they needed to return to their room. The staff was very friendly, and very apologetic. Gabriel, in particular, was outstanding. The housekeeping team ( although the room was kept clean) did not replenish coffee/ cream every day. The restaurant had to charge people on the spot without room keys ( instead of them charging the meals to their room), and I think this hurt the restaurant, as well. I feel the company or the tech service they used should have been more expedient in resolving the card key issue- and this caused too much stress for the fantastic staff.

Apparently many Hiltons had problems that weekend with room keys. Everyone had to wait to be let into their room every time they left the room. They handled that fairly well although at times we waited 10 minutes to get in. They, however, didn’t have the two rooms we booked weeks in advance. They tried to put 3 adults in a room with one king bed. They ended up putting 2 of us in room 204. Do not let them do this to you. Run away. It has a pull out bed that was the worst bed I’ve ever slept on. Once I got in I couldn’t get out. They should just go throw it in the dumpster. I don’t believe they didn’t have another room. It was so bad we got no sleep. Seemed like a nice hotel otherwise but that was ridiculous. I think they gave us a crappy room because we booked through hotels.com. Wouldn’t have found the hotel otherwise though. Also, it is a pet friendly hotel. There were pets everywhere. The regular room we got had a hole in the platform bed that the cat got into. Then we couldn’t get it out. Very frustrating. We had to have maintenance come help us. They were very nice but this seems like something that could be avoided.

I stayed at The Leta for a solo birthday trip. The hotel has a mid century modern design with an old school station wagon parked out front. When I arrived, the check-in line was literally out the door (I came during a time when one of the towns annual events was being held). Despite that, the check-in process was still smooth. The manager gave me a complimentary bottle of champagne for my bday. The cocktails and food at the on-site restaurant was delicious. I ate there a few times, LOL. Both the restaurant staff and hotel staff were friendly and helpful; they gave me suggestions on what to see and do while in Santa Barbara. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would stay there again.

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Cindy greeted us when we arrived with enthusiasm and a smile. When we asked for towels the staff were very prompt and efficient. When we checked out a nice young man ( Cody?) asked us how we liked everything and was very nice. We will definitely be back.

Close to airport. Friendly service. Expensive for late check in time and very early departure to airport, so I was surprised to also be charged $20 for parking overnight. Otherwise a pleasant stay. Pretty pool area, though we weren’t there long enough to take advantage of the amenities.

Overall it was great. Room was spacious and clean for the most part saw a couple spiders in the corners. Toilet paper was not soft at all. Pool was warm and fun. Food tasted good in the restaurant. First night we had dinner there we had excellent service. The second night was subpar. Food was fine but never came to refill our waters after waiting awhile and I had to get up to have them refilled. Also when we had brunch the next day on the patio the floor was filthy with food remnants. They were busy and seemed overwhelmed so I didn’t bother to ask to have it cleaned up. Overall we liked it but it does seem a tad bit overpriced, the pool was definitely a highlight.

This hotel was a huge disappointment. Front desk was not helpful. Paid for pool view, did not get a pool view. They said they were booked and couldn’t move us. We got two towels and one robe. Had dinner there and the chicken was raw and bloody. They took $4 off of the bill. This is more like a roadside motel, and not at all defective of a 350 a night hotel. Would not recommend.

Check in was delayed even though it was check in time. The front desk stated room was not ready? After the second attempt at check in, the room was still not ready. After complaint they decided to give us another room which was ready and was the same as what was booked. TV reception had internet issues and kept cutting out. Maintenance was quick to respond and fix it, but the fix was temporary. Staff responded quickly to provide additional toilet paper, towels, provide towels at the pool and were very friendly. The food at the onsite restaurant is very good. One issue was a new cook who accidentally cooked the omelette with wax paper probably left on from the cheese? The hotel manager didn't charge for the meal or the meal ordered by my companion and sincerely apologized. I felt the customer service was excellent as these issues were quickly resolved. The hotel is very nice with an updated look and the grounds are beautifully maintained. The room was kept very clean. We enjoyed our stay and the location is very close to Santa Barbara and reasonably priced.
