We couldn’t shower because of the sewer smell when we ran the shower. The front desk didn’t seem to be too bothered and just kind of shrugged. Very disappointing given the overall vibe of the place.

We were excited to return to The Leta after loving our 2019 stay when it was The Goodland, a Kimpton property. Sadly, this visit fell short. The positives: pleasant check-in staff, a first-floor room with a patio overlooking the pool, beautiful grounds and pool, and live music both nights. Unfortunately, the room needs serious maintenance. Deteriorating baseboards, stained curtains, a crooked drawer, a spider in the bathroom, and the same slithering bug encountered twice…once in the shower and again getting out, were disappointing. The blurred glass sliding bathroom door was extremely difficult and noisy to open, wouldn’t close completely, and allowed bathroom light into the bedroom. An engineer came to fix it and was very pleasant, but the entire door and track clearly need replacing. Our bar experience was particularly disappointing. We were the only guests at the bar, yet 3 bartenders ignored us for about 15 minutes. We overheard the head bartender discussing another customer and saying, “Just spit in her drink.” Whether joking or not, it was incredibly inappropriate and unprofessional. Our drinks were great, but her attitude was cold and unfriendly. The bar/restaurant also looked tired and needed TLC. A another couple sat down next to us, and the GM was also unfriendly. The Leta still has a beautiful setting and potential, but the rooms, maintenance and hospitality need significant attention. We wanted to love it again, but it simply didn’t compare to The Goodland.
