Mooie kamer in de binnenstad van Groningen! Kamer heeft alleen geen actieve ventilatie en het was erg warm in de kamer. Geen manier om te verkoelen behalve de ramen open waarmee je helaas flink wat scooter uitstoot ook uitnodigt. Onverwachts moest ik een borg van 250 euro voldoen en de checkout tijd was een uur eerder. De borg kon vervolgens niet direct terugbetaalt worden bij checkout maar ging later via een bankoverschrijving. Er werd ook nog een kamer check gedaan of ik de borg wel terugkreeg; apart verhaal naar mijn mening. Flink wat service/logistieke foutjes maar een prima kamer en erg vriendelijke medewerkers.

Ein tolles Hotel mit unterschiedlich großen Zimmern und Appartements/Suites. Super zentral gelegen in der Innenstadt direkt am Kanal. Wir hatten die Canal Suite direkt über der Rezeption. Ein toller Blick auf dem Kanal. Das Schlafzimmer ist ruhig zum Innenhof. Unser Sohn hatte sein Bett in einem Schrankbett.. war wohl bequem. Das Bad war ausreichend groß. Die Dusche leider nur mit Vorhang, was für Überschwemmung gesorgt hat. Wir hatten sogar zum 1. Advent einen Tannenbaum. Nett eingerichtet- neu trifft auf alt. Ein tolle sehr große Suite.. alles ist vorhanden. Lediglich Wolldecken haben wir nicht gefunden, es war leider bei der Ankunft sehr kalt bei einer Außentemperatur von rd. 5 Grad. Die Fußbodenheizung war am nächsten Tag bereit. Die buchbare Tiefgarage ist sehr eng mit wenigen Schritten zum Hotel. Ein toller Kurztrip nach Groningen.

Very central location. The hotel has its own parking garage close by. It was unclear though that you had to prereserve a spot. On our first night we had to park in a public parking garage. Good breakfast and nice large rooms. There was a slight cigarette smell in our room though. Unclear whether that was due to the neighbours or previous hotel guests.

Sehr zentral und stilvoll eingerichtet. Hervorragende Atmosphäre! Nicht alle Zimmer sind aber mit einem Aufzug erreichbar, man soll vorher fragen, wenn man einen Aufzug braucht.

My only complaint is that there is no elevator and the steps we had to use were a huge obstacle. I could barely make it up the steps and going down was just as bad as the stairs were very steep

Vi kunne først ankomme efter hotellets reception var lukket. Men information om sen indtjekning var meget professionel både med mobilopkald og efterfølgende mailkorrespondance. Vi boede på meget hyggeligt værelse i en hus med indgang fra gågaden. Der var ingen elevator og trapperne var stejle men personalet havde forinden sikret sig at det ikke var et problem for os. Morgenmaden var rigtig god på den nærliggende hyggelige café. Generelt oplevede vi megen imødekommenhed og interesse både fra personalet og borgere i byen.

Since the hotel is really in the inner town, it is a bit noisy at nights. Plus, there was no air condition, so we tried to sleep with open windows, thus heard the party people go by. However, the location is perfect. Nice rooms, good breakfast, friendly staff!

Property was very clean with kind and helpful staff who helped carry our heavy luggage up the stairs and even ran our dishes in the dishwasher for us. Breakfast service was great with many options. It was a little hard to sleep on hot nights (visited in August) since the neighborhood was too noisy to keep the windows open, but I guess that is what happens when you choose a convenient city center location sometimes. The area was beautiful and very walkable, just steps to the famous Vismarkt, so I can't complain.

We requested early check in the day before arrival and was told it would be no problem. Upon arrival the room wasn’t ready, but instead of making us wait, we got upgraded to a bigger room - that was really appreciated and such a great service! The room was very spacious, clean and beautiful. The bed was great, however the sleeping couch was pretty uncomfortable to sleep on. But all in all we really liked this hotel and would book it again anytime

The accommodation is very tasteful and clean. A simple but good breakfast and friendly, honest and helpful staff make this hotel a tip for all those who are not satisfied with mediocrity. Unfortunately, it is not completely quiet, especially at weekends there is a lot of partying in the streets until late at night.

Heerlijk hotel met fijn, maar niet heel gevarieerd ontbijt in het nabijgelegen De Sigaar. De kamers aan de straatzijde hebben in het weekend veel geluidsoverlast van het uitgaanspubliek (vooral als je graag met een raampje open slaapt). Mooie, schone kamers met koelkastje en koffie/theefaciliteiten en fijne badkamer (douche).

Prachtige kamer met uitzicht op de Aa. Heerlijk bed en moderne douche. Erg leuk dat er in de kamer originele schilderijen hingen en in de hal genummerde prints van Corneille. Dat maakt het net een beetje anders!

Super mooie kamer, heel mooi ingericht en goed bed, goede douche. Klein minpuntje is dat je nauwelijks zicht naar buiten hebt, een blinde muur en pannendaken van huizen is het uizicht.. Persoonlijk vind ik het wel fijn om naar buiten te kunnen kijken. Voor 1 nacht geen enkel probleem maar als je meerdere dagen voor vakantie verblijft zou ik dat niet prettig vinden. Bovendien 2 zeer steile trappen en geen lift dus minder geschikt voor reizigers die wat minder mobiel zijn. Maar verder top! Kom zeker terug!

We were not aware that there was no elevator and only a steap staicase, which was inconvenient considering our heavy luggage. Our double room was too small for two people with three large suitcases. On arrival, the hosts acknowledged that the room was very room, but other than polite contrition, they didn't make any effort to compensate for this inconvenience in more concrete terms. The breakfast was not good value for money: a comprably narrow range of options. The staff apprentice who served us was very kind and considerate, but not up to the job (yet) to the job. All things considered, despite the noticeable efforts on the part of the hosts to make us feel welcome and happy, I wouldn't consider this place again.

We requested early check in the day before arrival and was told it would be no problem. Upon arrival the room wasn’t ready, but instead of making us wait, we got upgraded to a bigger room - that was really appreciated and such a great service! The room was very spacious, clean and beautiful. The bed was great, however the sleeping couch was pretty uncomfortable to sleep on. But all in all we really liked this hotel and would book it again anytime

Property was very clean with kind and helpful staff who helped carry our heavy luggage up the stairs and even ran our dishes in the dishwasher for us. Breakfast service was great with many options. De kamers aan de straatzijde hebben in het weekend veel geluidsoverlast van het uitgaanspubliek (vooral als je graag met een raampje open slaapt). We were not aware that there was no elevator and only a steap staicase, which was inconvenient considering our heavy luggage. Our double room was too small for two people with three large suitcases. On arrival, the hosts acknowledged that the room was very room, but other than polite contrition, they didn't make any effort to compensate for this inconvenience in more concrete terms. The breakfast was not good value for money: a comprably narrow range of options. The staff apprentice who served us was very kind and considerate, but not up to the job (yet) to the job. All things considered, despite the noticeable efforts on the part of the hosts to make us feel welcome and happy, I wouldn't consider this place again.

Since the hotel is really in the inner town, it is a bit noisy at nights. Plus, there was no air condition, so we tried to sleep with open windows, thus heard the party people go by. However, the location is perfect. Nice rooms, good breakfast, friendly staff!
