Holiday Inn Express & Suites Woodside LaGuardia Airport

Room and property was kept very clean. Staff was helpful when required. Lot of restaurants within walking distance. Excellent ethnic food options, particularly Nepalese/Bhutanese/Japanese/Bangladeshi. Felt very safe at night. Liquor store and dunkin within walking distance. Very good access to phonics transportation which I really enjoyed this time. I could leave my car in the underground parking garage the entire time. It did cost $35/night though.

Very quick stay. Great hotel, very close to LGA. Would be 5 stars except for parking... There was none! That was mandatory for us, as we had a rental car and we're flying out the next morning, the hotel advertises that it has parking. But when I asked where to park my car, in was told they were full, they only have 20ish spots for the entire hotel...

Convenient HIE /LGA Airport shuttle came 20 minutes after we called (you have to know to call for it). Staff on the bus and at check in were very friendly. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the train station which was very convenient and quick to get into Manhattan. We are here only 1 night this part of the trip so we’ll have more info when we return here late next week.

Property was in great shape with a top of the line gym and laundry. Staff was great

Overall the facility was good, but it was the parking that threw me off, being an out of state resident, I believe to pay for parking was not so welcome, knowing there are lots of parking rules in NY and when you are not familiar with them it is a bit stressful, and if we are to pay at the facility it should not be as high as it was.

Our stay was wonderful. However….we called for a shuttle from the airport. Waited over 1/2 hour. Had to call again. She said oh , about 15-20 minutes. Waited again…finally a shuttle came —- looking for someone else’s name…the person who answered our call at 3:20pm on November 30 obviously forgot all about us….we waited over 50 minutes!!!!!!! Not impressed

Conveniently located near the airport. The limited parking and the parking rates were not reasonable. In addition, street parking was also very limited which made for a very frustrating and time consuming situation especially if you returned to the property late in the evening. I visited during the winter and at a time when there was snow which also added to the stressful experience of finding parking a fairly long distance from the property. The rooms were acceptable and not impressive. I would stay there again if I had no other choice.

The daily room cleaning was ver much appreciated. The breakfast was pretty decent as well. Didn't like having to wait almost 2 hours for the airport shuttle upon arrival at LGA. You have to walk about 15 minutes to the subway which while not too bad- would be nicer if they offered the shuttle over to the subway.

Issues with shuttle service going to the hotel from the airport (waited almost an hour to be picked up with the hotel agent hanging up on me when I refused to be placed on hold after being placed on hold 4 times before!!!)and returning back to the airport(even though I had requested shuttle accommodations the day before, I was not able to ride the shuttle for the time I requested because they said there was not enough room for me and another rider. We had to wait an additional half hour for transportation to the airport which put me at risk of missing my flight home!!!)

Ideal location for LaGuardia Airport, especially as there is a free shuttle bus to the Airport. Only a short walk, less than 10 minutes to the Local Subway Station that takes you directly into Grand Central Station and Times Square. Slightly limited number of places to dine in the area, but plenty of options for food to be delivered to the Hotel.

This hotel was very clean and everything looked new. The staff was very friendly and helpful with our questions. We were even able to check in a little early. This will be our new go to hotel when we visit Queens.

recently stayed here for 5 nights and it was great. The staff were so nice, rooms were spotless and the bed was so comfy, breakfast was really good, plenty of choice. I would definately recommend this hotel.10/10.

The hotel was nice. The common areas were clean and looked updated. We utilized the laundry facility and it was fine. Breakfast was good, kind of a mix between hot and continental. The rooms were ok. The beds and bedding were comfy but the AC was on as low as possible with the fan all the way up and it barely moved the air around in the room. The bathroom was also not great. The toilet was not on properly and had a slow leak onto the floor and there was some mold in the shower. The area around the hotel felt safe and we walked about 15 minutes to a fantastic Korean chicken restaurant. There were many shops and restaurants within 10-15 minutes of the property.

We found a few bugs in our room including a cockroach.

Arrived very late and were welcomed by two alert, cheerful, efficient staffers. Wow! After our long exhausting day, that alone meant a lot. We had a quick turnaround for the next morning’s flight so we needed to rest - the room was near perfect- very clean and a GREAT bed. Loved this hotel.

The hotel is very clean and smells very fresh. The room was so clean and neat. The bed very comfortable. We enjoyed our 3 nights stay. Housekeepers continues to keeps up the good works. Room was amazing and fresh.

The staff weren’t very polite when I first checked in, this was my second time staying at this hotel and the first time I didn’t have to pay for parking. There was black mold in the room, my family and I had to change rooms but the second room the bed sheets were dirty. For the price that I paid for one night my experience was distasteful.

This hotel has the most comfortable bed I've had in a while. The area doesn't have good restaurants within walking distance, but a short Uber ride can get you to an area with good options. Close to La Guardia with a great on time shuttle. That's the main reason I chose this hotel. Overall, great quiet room and nice updated hotel.

Booked through Expedia due to last min flight cancellation, called to ask for shuttle was told will be 10-20min wait and ended up being an hour, we were exhausted waiting at the airport all day and then this, after picked up and made it to next terminal front desk called driver to circle back again to pick up one passenger, ride was also very rough. Now hotel, bedding almost feel moist not dry, could hear whatever next room is talking about, tv not smart tv google cast offered but cant be connected, asked for microwave, not a single microwave at the entire facility, overall will not comeback no positive other than we didn’t have to sleep at the airport.

Great service with courtesy bus to La Guardia but the road noise was quite loud

The room was on the hot side when I checked in and it was hard to figure out how to lower the temperature in the room using the thermostat on the wall. It was on the second day that I finally figured it out.

The hotel was great, but I was bitten and had sores on my arms and chest, rooms a little small but clean, my room wasn’t clean every day, will stay again

Check in went well but we got stuck in a basement room and could never connect to the WiFi. Bed was comfortable and room was clean.

Our room was clean only major flaw was they gave us the room 109 right next to the lobby and the kitchen And the street. Very hard to sleep Constant slamming noises . Otherwise it was clean and suited purpose for a one night stay

Great staff! The night guard was the best. He had a smile. He got up immediately to help us ( my son & I) . The morning staff were just as kind. The room is small and very basic. They dont have an extra blanket in the room. Dove produces for bathroom and shower. Tv had nothing suitable for a child. We used our laptop. Our pillow was dirty & my son found dirty papers crumbled on the bed betweenthe sheets. . We booked this hotel because they advised shuttle to airport, they do but it stops at 8pm. We had to get an uber. The shuttle bus its a service customers have to call. We did use the shuttle back and it was fine. The shuttle bus needs an update. We didn't bother to wake up for breakfast. We didn't use the gym. Its a clean hotel with great staff ( except for one) We'd stay here again if need to.

I paid through Orbitz, they refused to honor the reservation. I drove 12 hours to get to this hotel, before I left home, I called to confirm, once I got to the hotel, they refused to honor the reservation. Told me to call orbitz to get the refund. This is on a summer Friday night, 1000 KM away from home, really hard to find a hotel at night.

This hotel was very clean and everything looked new. The staff was very friendly and helpful with our questions. We were even able to check in a little early. This will be our new go to hotel when we visit Queens.

Great experience. Need to organize shuttle system. It was horrible waited for an hour for the shuttle. Kept calling front desk apparently she was so swamped I was on hold for about 20mons in total over the 3 times I called. The guy almost left another set of ppl while I finally made it on the shuttle because he would ask so softly the few ppl standing right in front of him. Mind you we’re tourist. It’s my first time to New York. I felt like terrible and had to stand up for an hour waiting on this shuttle probably the main reason you book this hotel. That was the worst part. Everything else fine. But that shuttle system was so inconvenient I was late to my show. And then still had to get an Uber to the airport coz they tell you it’s gonna take 45 mins for him to get back and after being traumatized I couldn’t take the chance so I wasted money on an Uber

Apparently you have to request for your room to be cleaned at the front desk by 11 if you want it cleaned that day. Always had to ask for towels as they only gave us 2 bath towels for 4 people. When they did clean it was fine but if you call the front desk to request anything they won’t bring it to you.

After reading the numerous reviews I was excited to stay here. Upon arrival called for shuttle pick up after traveling all day and was told the pick up would be 15-20 mins. After about 45 mins called back and was told the driver came and didn’t see us so he left.. mind you nobody called to ask where we are when they said if they couldn’t find us they would call. Next he finally shows up doesn’t offer to assist with our luggage. Next the check in took forever because the employee at the counter was worried about why the driver wasn’t answering his phone. Finally after checking in after traveling all day get to our room and there isn’t enough towels for the 3 people staying in the room. Called down to the front desk was told someone would bring them up after about 40 mins we called again and was told there was no staff available to help to bring the towels up and to come get them. Walked to front desk and another employee said they didn’t bring your towels I said no he said he would go himself to get them.. so this is now over 2 hrs after traveling all day we still can’t shower. While at the hotel someone actually jumped from their window to their death during breakfast hours. The area was full of people who were all worried and confused as well as concerned. There was not only a body right outside where breakfast was being served but the clean up was not done well.. next… our room was not cleaned or trash taken out of our room we had to place a full bag of trash into the hall.

Reservation and room card issuing service down so sat in lobby forever waiting for my room key. Even worse as it was very late and I had only booked the room for a quick 5 hours sleep which became 3 by the time they got their computers working again.

Although the hotel is clean and maintained the surrounding area is rather run down. We did venture out and walked to a restaurant that was about 15 minutes from the hotel. I felt uncomfortable and I don’t know I would do this walk after dark. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was good with the staff interacting with guests. Kept food offerings topped up, tables cleaned and trash emptied regularly. We also used the shuttle to La Guardia Airport which arrived and delivered us in a timely manner. Thanks Holiday Inn Woodside.

The location was optimal . We were there for the US Open, were able to walk to Arthur Ashe Stadium. The Shuttle to & from the airport was dependable. Breakfast is until 930am, but when I came down at 910 am one morning, there was hardly any food and no one restocked.

Staff was super nice and helpful. Hotel common areas and room were clean and in good condition. There is no restaurant in the hotel, other than the area for breakfast (which is only for breakfast). Rooms have the basics - towels, plastic cups, Kleenex, nothing special. Neighborhood seems off the beaten path. Best thing is that the hotel is very close to LGA airport and provides a free shuttle.

The hotel itself was nice. Did not like paying for parking, the garage is small and hard to drive into when you have a big truck. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were terrible. Breakfast was served from 6 to 9 I believe, which is insane, need to extend it to at least 11am. The breakfast was bad, limited options and tasteless.
