Das größte Problem ist, wie schon oft erwähnt, die Situation mit den Liegen. Es sind für die Menge an Gästen einfach viel zu wenige. Um 7 Uhr sind alle reserviert, wer danach kommt hat Pech. Wer also einen entspannten Strandurlaub möchte ist hier nicht ganz richtig. Der Pool ist allerdings wirklich traumhaft und auch super zum Schwimmen geeignet. Der Außenbereich gesamt ist auch wirklich sehr schön gestaltet. Einen Strand an der Unterkunft gibt es nicht. Das Meer kommt die meiste Zeit direkt bis zur Hotelgrenze! Strandapaziergänge kann man somit keine machen. Das Zimmer ansich ist relativ basic. Es ist geräumig aber nicht wirklich dekorativ eingerichtet. Für ein 5 Sterne Hotel erwarte ich mir auch hier mehr. Die Möbel sind schon etwas abgewohnt etc. Das Bett ist allerdings wahnsinnig bequem. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist ganz gut. Der Kaffee wirklich ausgezeichnet. Für Veganer und Vegetarier ist allerdings nicht allzuviel Auswahl. Das thailändische Essen war leider ausschließlich mit Fleisch/Fisch, obwohl ich vorab um vegetarische Alternativen gebeten habe. Hafermilch gibt es allerdings. Fußläufig gibt es nicht viel zu erreichen. Wer nicht nur im Hotel Essen möchte, ist fast auf einen Roller angewiesen. Diesen kann man über einen Kontakt vom Hotel zu einem fairen Preis ausleihen. Wir hatten damit eine gute Erfahrung. Die angebotenen Kurse vom Hotel waren auch richtig super. Vor allem der Pizza Kurs! Pizza hier ist richtig gut. Das Spa ist auch zu empfehlen.

Beautiful view from the patio. Room was as expected. Breakfast options were excellent including mimosas. Restaurant prices were on the high side for meals and drinks. Gym facility was top notch with good working equipment. Only real complaint is not enough pool loungers. All the chairs are claimed by 9:00, but not being used despite the signs saying you can’t reserve them.

Explorar is really great, after 12 days couldn’t fault it. Staff are lovely and resort is amazing. Only suggestion would be that they should run the activities like yoga etc daily rather than weekly and they should run more shuttles to the market and chaweng.

The hotel is okay, not much more than that. The service is excellent everybody's really nice. The swimming pool is really nice. The rooms are not very good pretty standard, the gym is a disaster. The location is just far from everything...

Room was nice and clean , front desk were good , dining staff was not great . Food were very limited , and very few restaurants outside resort to go out and eat . The beach had broken glass in places I even cut my foot whilst walking . No compimentary water whilst sitting around beach/ pool area . Only a few bean bags to sit on on beach , os of this the pool area was very busy and with no where to sit .

Rolig, luksus og super flink personale. Helt utrolig god frokost, og det vi testet av lunsj/middag var bra. Utsikten er kjempe fin, og bassengområdet er fantastisk. Vi testet spaavdelingen med par massasje og ansiktsbehandling, og det er noe av det beste og mest profesjonelle vi har vært borti. Gymmen var helt ok, fungerte til en grei økt.

Un établissement à recommander ! L’hôtel est d’une beauté pure en harmonie avec la nature. La sobriété de la déco rend les lieux plus élégants et luxueux. Hôtel très au calme idéal pour le repos. Une propreté impeccable où les chambres sont nettoyées 2X par jour. Une mention spéciale pour le personnel: l‘accueil, le bar, le restaurant, l’entretien, l’équipe de nettoyage, bref tous les membres de l’hôtel. Un petit déjeuner copieux, de qualité et délicieux. Lunch et dîner n’ont pas été testé. La plage n’est pas facilement accessible ou praticable mais un peu plus loin il est facile de se promener. Facilité pour la location de moto (sur le parking de l’hôtel). Nous avons adoré notre séjour et avons prolongé d’une nuit.

Fantastic hotel right by the beachfront. Spotlessly clean, with a beautiful and quiet pool area, and fantastic attentive staff. Also, finally, a hotel in Thailand that freely offers fresh coconuts with the breakfast buffet! Something's telling me Explorar will be my go-to option for Samui!

Une très belle découverte à Samui. Magnifique établissement à taille humaine, sobre, élégant et propre, moderne/rénové. Le personnel plus que serviable. Nettoyage 2x par jour de la chambre. Le petit dej est remarquable pour tous les goûts. Nous avons pu voir l’évolution deux petit déjeuner lors de notre séjour. Le changement de concept dans le buffet et les nouvelles assiettes sont très bien pensé et qualitatif. Ne vous attendez pas à une grande plage à accès direct. Mais tout de même, l’aménagement est très correct.

Fint hotell gode rom og bra rengjøring. Betjeningen var fantastisk serviceminded. ALLE. God variert frokost og bestilte fra eggedisken som ble levert på bordet med ønsket kaffe type til. Overalt verd pengene. Ligger litt avsides ifht butikker og restauranter men vi tok taxi til Fishermanns village. Der var det stort nattmarked og mye liv og røre og matboder.

The hotel was stunning. Breath taking views. Super clean. Staff were very friendly, efficient and accommodating. Could not fault a thing about the hotel and staff. My only concern was it was a little far out to the main restaurant areas like Fisherman's Village etc. but they do offer a shuttle bus to drop you and pick you up.

Probably a nice resort if it had not been for the extremely poor, defect and not cleaned ventilation system. The smell of mold was absolutely horrible. As we spend some 40 nights around in different hotels, this was the absolute worst. On top, the humidity was insane, eyes and nose was dripping, headache came banging and it was impossible to get some sleep. Staff in reception was very helpful and offered another room as an "upgrade" for the night. The new room was absolutely fine, clean air, dry and nice. So we finally managed to get a few hours sleep - but damage was done. Our plan was to stay for 7 nights, however; we just booked one and that was enough. Checked out, bought new tickets back to BKK. It is and was definately poor management to sell this room whatsoever. Someone must have known. Never again! Funny thing is, as we told them we were checking out for a hotel later this year for a group of 50 persons, they still gave us an absolutely discraceful, smelling, no hygienic room (628). 301 was absoutely fine, so I guess this problem is not in every room, hence they shouldnt have sold it! Coffee was was good, although I was too upset to actually enjoy the breakfast.

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Zeit! Zu Beginn wurden wir mit einer frischen Kokosnuss sehr herzlich begrüßt. Das Personal war sehr lieb und hilfsbereit. Unser Zimmer war dank des eigenen Pools traumhaft. Auch das Restaurant, insbesondere das tolle Frühstücksbuffet, ist absolut zu empfehlen.

Our room with a pool and ocean view was wonderful! The view was amazing! Our bed was very comfortable! The food at this resort is delicious and beautifully plated. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and every dinner was delicious!

Lungt och skönt, poolvillan med havsutsikt var amazing.

The best bit was the (mostly) Burmese-speaking staff - they were excellent. Property infrastructure maintenance is not what you would expect for a facility showing its age. Aluminium plate pool loungers are the hardest and least comfortable ever encountered. 25mm thick foam pads did not lessen the discomfort. Do not know how some visitors could stand them for hours at a time. Am sure they have tons of repeat customers who absolutely love lounging by the pool and staring at the grey wall. Only a single plastic chair in a supposed 5-star AUD$800/ night luxury room? Included breakfast was passable, however not 5-star. (Check the way the bread is sliced) Again, the mostly Myanmar and Thai staff went out of their way to be accommodating in the restaurant and were the most redeeming feature of the property - otherwise it would be a 3 star overall. The pizza was very good, as were other normal menu items tried outside of breakfast hours. The only access to what is left of the beach after the typhoon in 23 or 24 is pathetic. Concrete steps that lead to a fabricated steel access structure at the last half metre to the sand - very poor. The gym was reasonably equipped, although the workout area was quite small and you needed to pick your time to avoid crowding. Nothing of note within walking distance of property. But other than the staff, the view over the private pool onto the ocean was a 5 star for us. (As long as you didn't sit on the lounger too long)

Simply lovely! This stay has been one of the best ones so far Ive been to, incredible architecture and accurately built area in and around the entire land covering every scenic area, incredible and mostly peaceful, quite and enjoyable to take a good rest from the busy world, and exceptional service and 24-hr buggy service is appreciated as it takes 2 mins to get to your villa on the buggy, so its very useful, Lovely long pool and the jacuzzi is the best one among what we got as we chose pool villa in other stays! Incredible and enjoyable stay!

This was my second stay here, and I stand by my opinion. The staff was fantastic! So helpful and friendly. A beautiful property. The food was always good. It was pure relaxation. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

Extraordinary staff. They make you feel at home every single day. Yaw & Sai were always at hand and were quick to offer help and amazing service all day at any time. Nice view of the ocean, nice pool, and delicious pad thai & pizza. Harry’s drinks were also delicious!

Wow what can i say absolutely fantastic. From the moment you arrive you are treated like royalty. The staff are amazing and speak great English. The extra freebies are a bonus too. A special shout out to JJ Tiki Belynda Game Aung Da Dar Team Som Alex the chefs and the rest of the Team well done to you all. Explorar are very lucky to have you and you guys are an asset.

We had a had a lovely stay at Explorar during Easter. Excellent staff with shout outs to Tikki by the pool and Joy and Kate in reception who made it such a special experience. Also the bar staff and waiters were all exceptional. The service was quite slow - especially for the special meals such as Easter dinner. We also noticed on that occasion that the people who were indulging in the bottles of wine got more attention! There are only limited options outside the hotel but you can access various beach bars. The shuttle to Fisherman’s village was a nice touch but as it was always full it was difficult to get on. Overall we would recommend

The employees of the hotel are very friendly, there is nothing that went about their helpful attitude and there kindness. There are several things i have to mention which makes the different to give 5 stars: Invoices at the poolbar were wrong calculated several times, had to advice them to correct it. The prices are always written without the 10 percent service and the 7 percent goverment tax. For me as a guest its to unvisible, i want to see the endprices, in this case it seems they wanna hide the real costs from the guests. Air condition went defect at our honey moon trip. If your going to check this in a cyclus every month or something, this wouldnt happen. In thailand its legal to consum weed. When you went into the rooms and also outside you can smell the whole time the weed. For me as a non drug taker its not funny to smell this everytime and it disturbs me. I recommend to make a spot for the weedsmokers beside the hot spots. The massage was not lasting 1 hour as it says, only 50 mins. In general there are several different speaking employees , so you will find someone talking with in your language. They tried to compense the misstakes but dont accept everything, first they try to only give a small gifts for bigger misstakes. On the homepage they promise for the honeymoon suit with pictures with drinks and roses. We only get roses...nothing else. Bit dissappointing.... Overall the hotel is very nice, but lot of improvements should be taken in future

I would highly recommend this holiday resort for couples, and people who want adult only hotel. Foods were high quality and excellent. Entertainment music was appropriately selected for guests who wanted a relaxing experience.

Echt een geweldig verblijf! Heel vriendelijk personeel, alles gloed nieuw, prachtige ruime kamer en hele goede ligging! Met de Shuttle bus kan je naar Fisherman en Chaweng beach wat goed geregeld was.

It’s an impeccable property, very well kept, clean and in a quiet yet strategic area of the island. It’s close to fisherman's market, Chaweng and the pier where you can take the boat to various islands. The nice thing is that the hotel is close to everything without being in the middle of everything aka the madness of Chaweng. Another plus is the beach right in front of the hotel, which is the only one where you can swim the whole day without caring of the tides…something VERY rare in Ko Samui, trust me. I’ve seen high end hotels on the island being in front of a beach without chairs, umbrellas or even water in the sea because of the tides. In Mae Nam there are no parties, no vendors, no promoters…just you, the sand and the water.

Perfektes Urlaubserlebnis in einem tollen Hotel. Vom check in bis zum Abschied einfach nur extrem gut. Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals außergewöhnlich. Hotel ist architektonisch sehr ansprechend gestaltet, alles ist sehr sauber. Flussläufig finden sich sowohl am Strand als auch an der Straße gute Essensmöglichkeiten. The hotel was stunning. Breath taking views. Super clean. Staff were very friendly, efficient and accommodating. Could not fault a thing about the hotel and staff. My only concern was it was a little far out to the main restaurant areas like Fisherman's Village etc. but they do offer a shuttle bus to drop you and pick you up.

We had an amazing time at Explorar. We were a bit hesitant to book at the start given the unknown/name of the hotel, but we're so glad we ended up booking. It was nothing short of amazing, the room, facilities, pool, bar, food (special highlight to the Pad Thai and the wood fire pizzas), and the staff is definitely a highlight. We could name so many people here, Jor, Ticky, Sophia, they were just great! Definitely recommend for anyone looking at exploring Koh Samui.

Great Hotel, Friendly and professional staff who want to help. The pool is fantastic with excellent facilities and direct access onto the beach. Food is great with excellent breakfasts and a very good restaurant - they also have an excellent pizza oven. We will go again!

Room was nice and clean , front desk were good , dining staff was not great . Food were very limited , and very few restaurants outside resort to go out and eat . The beach had broken glass in places I even cut my foot whilst walking . No compimentary water whilst sitting around beach/ pool area . Only a few bean bags to sit on on beach , os of this the pool area was very busy and with no where to sit .

Rolig, luksus og super flink personale. Helt utrolig god frokost, og det vi testet av lunsj/middag var bra. Utsikten er kjempe fin, og bassengområdet er fantastisk. Vi testet spaavdelingen med par massasje og ansiktsbehandling, og det er noe av det beste og mest profesjonelle vi har vært borti. Gymmen var helt ok, fungerte til en grei økt.

Très beau séjour dans ce très bel hôtel ! La piscine est immense et ça donne directement sur la plage . Le village est à 800 m à pieds à peu près . Le personnel est très gentil et serviable et tout est très propre . Un seul bémol, ne prenez pas le repas surf and turf proposé le mardi . C’est beaucoup trop cher pour ce que c’est !

Worth every penny. The view from the breakfast area is amazing and the food selection has something for everyone’s liking. The pool area is big and very clean. We also enjoyed the pool bar and the lovely people working there. You get refilled water bottles everyday which saved us many times from dehydration. Great working AC and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was also spacious and clean, but the toilet was strangely high up? Overall we’d definitely come back in the future!
