Very nice lodge, lovely property and great views of the rugged Sonoma coast. Room/bed was comfortable. Coffee packs, tea, and a kettle are provided, and there is a mini-fridge. But no microwave in room, probably intentionally so that you have to rely on the on-site restaurant, which is vastly overpriced though the food is very good. There are no other dining options unless you drive up or down Hwy 1 for some miles. Also, adding on a resort fee to the already high room rates when there is only an exercise room—no spa or hot tub—is excessive. In general, the hotel is overpriced, with extra fees and ridiculous meal prices, so I'm not likely to stay there again despite its fantastic location.

I really love this place. The GM (name escapes me) sets the tone. Staff is great. Friendly and professional. I wish they had a pool and/or hot tub and stairs down to a beach. It’s tough, rocky, beautiful shoreline. Just a gorgeous property.

EV charging is available, but one was out of order and some other guests didn’t free up the space after charging. The winery offering tastings has a price sheet that doesn’t match what they charge. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.

It's a beautiful spot and a wonderful remodel. Surprised there is no hot tub. The food is still not very good - been there many times before and looks like good and tasty offerings but what is served is very bland and at times seems simply rushed and underdone. I'm happy to wait longer for tastier. Wouldn't make a big deal except for the fact that this is the only option when staying there.

Our stay overall was nice! We got in late. We had termite droppings on the ground that had definitely been there more than a day or two. And the bathroom soup hadn’t been used and the pump was clogged.

The property was beautiful! We had a really great stay with my small dog, which was great to be able to bring him into the great room. The food was delicious, we stayed in for dinner both nights. The service was consistently great during our stay! One thing I’d say is just a bit more upkeep needed, there were a bunch of cobwebs on the balcony. The price can get a little high for the room itself, so would just take that into account when choosing future weekends.

We had an incredible weekend at Timber Cove. We brought our 2 month old on her first trip away from home. We loved being able to walk the trails and take her down to the Great Room and restaurant for our meals. It was so serene and peaceful. The staff was excellent and the room was sparkling clean with immaculate ocean views.

Room and common areas are dirty. Staff is out to lunch. It's almost like they're in a bizzaro world - where they offer to do things unsolicited and then never follow through. Four times this happened to us, from checking in, to getting coffee, to cleaning the room (which had hair everywhere and a dirty napkin in the bed). These folks are in outer space. My friend who lives in the area and comes frequently confirmed this is typically the case.

Timber Cove was so beautiful! The service, the shared spaces and the dining / food was all so delicious. Honestly, it was a wonderful stay! My only issue was with the adjoining room and the noise between rooms. Each night we had to call the front desk to request that our neighbors be quiet - something we weren't expecting for a relaxing weekend away. I was really surprised that the only solution from the front desk was to ask the neighbors to respect quiet hours after 10. It wasn't until the second night that we were offered to move to the room next door, but I would've appreciated more of an acknowledgement of the disruption to our weekend and something from the hotel to accommodate the disruption and lack of sleep during our stay at what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend. For those seeking a relaxing getaway, I may stay away from any rooms with adjoining walls, as you can hear everything next door. I'd also ask that the hotel be more generous with guests who experience disruptions from other guests each night, especially given that Timber Cove is supposed to be a relaxation destination.

I’ve been coming to Timber Cove for years. It’s my favorite escape. I usually stay in an ocean view room, but this time I tried the Timber Cove Room facing the courtyard. As other reviewers already mentioned, it was noisier than expected, with music and voices from the Great Room carrying into the night. The room was also smaller, which was okay, but the skylight was defect and couldn’t close, making it hard to sleep once the morning light came in. Considering the room rate and being a returning guest, I would have appreciated a small gesture since the issue couldn’t be fixed during my stay. The bed however, was incredibly comfortable, as always. Would I book this room again? Maybe, if traveling solo on a budget. But for the full, peaceful Timber Cove experience, I’d definitely stick with an ocean view room.

The resort is one of the nicer ones in the area, the front staff was super nice and upgraded our room to ocean view for a fair discount. Our original room had the bed in a loft and a hike down some loft type stairs to the bathroom... it would not have worked for us. The restaurant overpriced but then what isn't these days. The biggest complaint was the mattress was so saggy and old it was seriously the worst I've ever seen. They just put a pad on top to hide that fact. so for that alone it ruined the stay.

Beauty in natural setting. Built for aesthetics not totally for comfortable living. No microwave and no drawers to put clothes away. Dislikes: No secure internet. Internet was down most of 3 days we stayed. Couldn’t connect to business meetings, doctors appointments with zoom and other important meetings. We had to go to bodega bay 45 minutes away to get access and spent much of the time there because of poor access to internet. May not be fault of timber cove but would not stay here because of poor internet access and limited connectivity to tmobile.

We had a wonderful stay at Timber Cove Resort and would absolutely return. Nestled along the rugged coastline, the property offers sweeping ocean views and a sense of calm the moment you arrive. It feels special without trying too hard. We stayed in a suite with a wraparound deck facing the ocean, and it was exceptional. The room was beautifully appointed and very comfortable, and the views were truly unforgettable. Even though there was a big storm during our stay, we still caught some sunshine and even saw seals playing in the cove below. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Every interaction felt thoughtful and genuinely kind. I mentioned that it was my husband’s birthday, and the front desk surprised us with a small cheese plate as an afternoon snack, followed by celebratory glasses of wine at dinner. Lovely and unexpected. Overall, Timber Cove delivered a memorable, relaxing experience with excellent atmosphere, stunning scenery, and truly gracious hospitality.

It has auto switches in bathroom, so when you get up to go at night the light blinds you awake. No instructions at phone as to what to dial for front desk. Counter are in bathroom is small. Sliding door to patio did not lock. Could not find switch to ceiling light, or it was out if controlled by main switch. No elevators to my room. I think it was over-priced. On the positive side, attractive room and public area. Nice views.

The location is great. The resturant is a little expensive for quality & service. The rooms are very small. We rented 3 rooms for 3 nights. None had a chair or a sofa. It was very uncomfortable every time you need to sit you have to go the lobby. Balconies are too smalls except for the suites. Staff were nice & friendly except for the manager who sounded as a hustler more than a manager in the hospitality business.

My stay started off badly with a small "standard" room with spiral staircase and I booked a Timber Cove room. Hotels.com choices did not show a small standard room with tiny loft. I requested an upgrade or different room. I am VIP but nothing offered, and their website said they had rooms available. My next tiny standard room overlooked the roof and had a mattress on the floor and also a problem with the door lock. The Manager did not apologize or offer a free breakfast or a room upgrade. Based on the room this is a 1 start but the grounds, hiking, views made it a medium score. I paid a lot of money for a crap room. Hotels.com should adjust their Timber Cove photos accordingly.

The property grounds were spectacular!! Great hiking all around the hotel and nice ocean views. 5 star property with 4 star service. The restaurant service was a bit slow and confused. Overall, the staff was very friendly, but they just seemed a bit understaffed so they could not provide the service they would like to. I would recommend this hotel to my friends. Thank you for the nice stay. Also, the cove view would be 100% better if the bed was facing the ocean rather than facing the trees. It would be a simple fix to flip the bed and table to opposite ends of the room.

Beautiful property. Good food. Only complaint is the receptionist. She had a sour attitude. We didn’t receive a run down the all the amenities even when we arrived an hour early and sat around. I had to look it up on their website. When checking out, the receptionist checked out another person but that’s what happens when you don’t ask for my name, how the stay was, etc. Also don’t leave anything behind - instead of having a human experience at this small, yet pricey resort, they’ll direct you to a website.

Timbercove Resort is located in a breathtaking setting in an unpopulated part of the Sonoma coast.There were no other businesses around the resort so you are at least 30 minutes away from another restaurant. The common area setting was warm and cozy with food available at all hours and activities throughout the resort. The food was good, a 7/10. The staff provided great service and kept the place humming.

We weren’t able to enjoy the food as it was closed for a private event. Had I known this beforehand, I wouldn’t have booked for that day. It felt like a wasted experience — I drove three hours to stay there and didn’t get the full visit we had planned. Bed was comfortable.

The setting is gorgeous. Rooms looking straight over the water. Peaceful, quiet. Halfway between Jenner and Sea Ranch, less than 30 min to Sea Ranch. Early morning coffee and muffins along with evening cookies are a treat. However the restaurant food could be a little improved. Portions are small for the price — for instance, a mezze platter consisted of about 3 Tbsp of hummus and 2 Tbsp of very small accompaniments, 1 (tasty) pita torn up and 2 long crackers for $32. It's a beautiful, quiet place right above the shore, with a gorgeous view from the main dining room. Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff throughout. The Coast Kitchen offered excellent food. We loved the Timber Cove Resort!

The grounds are impressive with your "backyard" overlooking the terrific California north coast, Ocean, and many rocks for the surf break on. Food service was really good and the food as well. We appreciated our server Spencer - who was most attentive to us. Great place to relax and look at the ocean.

The food is still not very good - been there many times before and looks like good and tasty offerings but what is served is very bland and at times seems simply rushed and underdone. I'm happy to wait longer for tastier. Wouldn't make a big deal except for the fact that this is the only option when staying there.
