Good hotel will use again. Breakfast sucked though wouldn't recommend that. Pool was also very cloudy makeing it feel weird to get in if they had put to much chemicals in or not. Room was really clean and reasonable for the price.

Everything was good with our stay except that the pool was down, that was a bummer because I booked this hotel for the pool and breakfast. Because I booked through hotels.com I couldn't just cancel and switch hotels without being charged. There should have been a discount! And if the pool is down that should be listed in the website. Breakfast was good, the ice machine on our floor was also down. I would definitely stay again but I'll have to call to make sure the pool is open.

The gym was out of Service, the ice maker was out of service too. The hallway was extremely noisy. The pool was small compared to the pictures. Overall was a good stay, the breakfast was excellent and the room was very clean.

First night we told the front desk there was a mouse in the pool area. Second evening my son got in the pool and screamed. There was a mouse swimming across the pool. Front desk girl came in and beat it with a pole til it died and sank to the.bottom. No net anywhere to get it out of the pool. I’m quite sure corporate office was never informed.

Staff was nice and helpful when needed, property needs a little fixing up! Pool had so much chlorine in it, we had chemical burns not sure if they had just done it or what. If they did would have been nice to get a heads up about it. Other than that great stay! This was our third time staying here!

Basic hotel. Very clean with free real breakfast including scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, toast and/or English muffins, fruit, and yogurt. Beds were ok (a little firm for me) and room was nice sized with a great shower, and room darkening curtains. The smell of pool was all over the first floor and the workout room was pretty sad. It was in the pool area with 1 peice of equipment. With the chlorine smell and tons of screaming kids, I wasn’t going to use it.

The hotel itself was clean and nice. Went to the pool to hang out for a little bit. Walked in the door at the pool and it was oppressively hot in the room. Pool was disgusting. Could not see the bottom of the pool at the shallow end at all. Chemicals in the pool were way to strong. Needless to say we didnt spend anytime at the pool. Need better maintenance for the pool for sure.

Elevator was dirty Tuesday and still dirty Friday. Pool was supposed to be down for Wednesday maintenance and never reopened. No shampoo in room

About what you would expect from a hotel at this price. There is a musty smell from the air condition when first switched on and the pool appeared green although we didn't use it.

Hotel room was comfortable and clean. Quiet enough to sleep through the night. Room did seem a bit damp but did not smell moldy. Breakfast area was nice and food was good. Pool area was extremely hot and pool water was hazy. No towels in the pool area so we dis not bother to swim.

We had to switch rooms right away due to stained sheets that were on our bed. Once they took the sheets off the mattress pad was covered in hair. The first room had a moldy bathroom and drapes that were dirty. The second room was covered in a layer of dust. It looked like no one had bothered to clean it in months. This bathroom had a hole in the tub.

The breakfast was good, staff were nice, had amenities, nice that coffee was available 24/7. Room was damp and smelled of cigarette smoke. Carpets in hallway were stained, elevator was sketchy, pool area was dirty. Room was beat up, bathroom tub was stained and couch was stained. Just the basics but wouldnt recommend as was expensive for a dated/dirty room.

This place has bedbugs and the room was not even cleaned properly. There was hair still on the toilet, in the shower and on the counter. There was also a left over cigar or joint on ths floor by the tv.

It was okay. For the price I thought it would be nicer and cleaner. Bath and shower weren’t clean. Comforter had stains. Breakfast wasn’t great or terrible. Probably wouldn’t stay again.

Needs updated. Had no ice machines. Kinda dirty. Breakfast was mediocre. Our room had a funky smell and 2 broken door handles. The entire room especially the bathroom was dirty. Not impressed or felt like moneys worth.

Location was great and easy to get to. Grounds were well kept. The inside of the hotel was very musty. The smell of mustiness was throughout the entire hotel. The staff all looked like they wanted to die. Nobody smiled. Nobody said good morning. Hotel is dated. Can’t remember the last time I needed a charging block to charge my phone at a hotel. There was no usb ports available breakfast was average. The room was clean. Just musty. Overall it wasn’t bad. It wasn’t necessarily good either.

Stayed here after a concert and thought it would be fine since we didn’t get in until midnight so was really just looking for a bed to stay in. Disappointed that the bed felt damp and as a result was super uncomfortable

This property is right down the road from Kalahari. The room was really clean.

Area was clean, felt safe, & gas station was conveniently close. Room was very clean. I stayed in a King room - bed was average for this level of hotel, not great but for one night it was fine. Hotel is dated as expected from the pics, but fine for a short stay & a better value than most hotels around Sandusky. A caution: rooms100/101 @ end of the hall - there's a staff door that is constantly slamming shut (last I heard it before sleep was about 2am) so if you aren't a sound sleeper request other end of hallway. The one issue I had were the drapes. If you are on the first floor you are looking out at the parking lot. I was on the front side of the building so it was especially not-private. They have black out curtains but they don't have any sheers, just decorative one foot panels that don't move. S being where I was located meant I could only have the blackouts closed at all times and that's kinda depressing and feels boxed in. So if I were this hotel I would get different curtains that allow guests on the first floor to open their blackouts. Also with the curtains, the AC blew the blackouts so I had to put a pillow there to keep the curtains closed. See pics for curtain situation. One really big plus was that the pool opens at 6am. Very nice.

Room was very dewy feeling. Dampness in the air that our clothes were almost wet feeling and the beds were not as soft as I like. Needed more darkening shades to keep the room darker at night. Overall pretty average hotel, not great, but not the worst.

Everything was great but at night you have 4 reflectors that shine a potent light into your room if it is on the front of the hotel. There aren’t enough curtains to cover the light from outside, so I couldn’t sleep.

Right next to a busy road so had some loud traffic noise. Decent rooms and breakfast.

Check in and out were quick and easy. Our door had a big chunk missing out of the front, didn’t impact the safety, but aesthetically should be fixed. The WiFi wasn’t great for work that needed to be done or using computer on YouTube for white noise as the sound would skip a lot due to poor connection. Had to use mobile hotspot instead. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

Room smelled musty. Could not open any windows. Air conditioner was very loud.

There was a very loud machine that ran at intervals all night long. It sounded like some kind of pump. Otherwise, the stay was good.

Wifi was slow, difficult to connect and would frequently disconnect. Then there was an ad to watch to reconnect. Breakfast wasn’t great. Beds were good.

The hotel was decent enough for the price. Location was good and breakfast was good. I didn’t like that the sink was on the outside of the bathroom. It made it hard to get ready while everyone was sleeping. Someone next door kept messing with the adjoining room door.

Room was very spacious and clean (with the exception of the microwave that could have been cleaner), neighbors were pretty noisy but my kids are heavy sleepers.. clean lobby and pool area, very friendly front desk staff! Wish I could remember the guys name that checked us in and out! Breakfast was pretty basic, but kids loved the waffle makers lol overall we enjoyed our stay!

The staff was super friendly and helpful. Check-in was easy and quick. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and the staff was very hospitable. It is a great place to stay for the price. I will certainly book here again for my next trip to Cedar Point.

Our room was filthy, there were stains on the bedding, our floor was not vacuumed, the bathroom door was falling off, the walls are paper thin & you can hear everything in the room surrounding you, the breakfast is the same every single day. The manager made a mistake & while we were at the theme park, left me a message telling me I still have items in the room and they need to be removed because I wasn’t supposed to be staying there even though I was paid through the next day. She threatened to physically remove all the items from the room & charge us an additional nights stay. When we returned to the hotel & I listened to the voice message I immediately went to the front desk to address the situation, the supervisor at the front desk was not empathetic about the situation at all, but did contact the manager. She advised the supervisor on duty she made a mistake, & there was a computer error. She never left me another voice message so that I did not have to worry. The only communication she had with me was threatening to remove all of my property from the room & charge me additional fees because she needed my items out of the room as soon as possible. It was an extremely rude & threatening voicemail. Considering there was no apology from the manager or action afterwards letting me know they made a mistake I would highly recommend not staying at this hotel. There were other patrons in the lobby they were refusing to check-in who paid as well.

Wonderful! The staff is what makes or breaks a hotel stay and the staff here are top notch! We loved the breakfast, we loved that the pool opened early so we could use it before checking out, and we loved how kind the staff was!

The stay was fine. Check in took longer than I think a check in should. But check out was the main issue. I needed to store my bags until my departure time and they said they didnt offer bag storage. I travel all the time and ive NEVER in 12 years of traveling had a hotel refuse to store my bag. Luckily the Tru across the street took pity on me.

Check in was fast and easy. The reception helper was very friendly and informative. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and had good variety. Checkout was as easy as leaving your key in a basket.

Friendly staff, always smells clean. This is the only one we stay at when in town for going to cedar point.

We ran into an issue with the fridge not working in our room. The staff promptly checked it out and switched us to a different room with a working fridge. Awesome service

The property was awesome and conveniently located. However, there were a few issues: • The wash basin drain kept getting blocked. Although the staff attempted to fix it on the first day, the problem persisted. • They ask guests to inform the front desk before 11 AM for room service. We did so on our second day while heading out—the receptionist even confirmed our name and room number—but when we returned, the room had not been serviced. I had to go to the reception myself to get fresh towels. On the positive side, the breakfast was good. This could have been an excellent experience, but the staff’s courtesy didn’t feel genuine or truly helpful.

So easy to get to! Free breakfast in the morning was delicious and it was so close to the Kalahari!

No-frills, but clean and somewhat convenient to Cedar Point, which was what we wanted. The breakfast was pretty average for a hotel.

The room was clean and quiet. Shower felt great. Close to the interstate.

This hotel was about 15-20 minutes from Cedar Point. It was an easy drive and I recommend this hotel. It was quiet and clean. There was a slight damp smell in the room, but nothing overly sensitive. Many dining and shopping options nearby and not crazy with traffic since the theme park is a few miles away.

Nice place to stay if you don’t mind being a few minutes further away from Cedar point than the resorts. Clean, quiet and affordable.

The morning breakfast was awesome! They have a waffle station where you can pour batter and make your own big waffle or four mini waffles. My kids loved that. They had sausage patties and eggs. A toast station with peanut butter and butter and jam and some cereal selections and a nice coffee station. The indoor pool was what attracted me to this hotel but when I took my kids the room where the pool was smelled humid and musty. And the water was ice cold. The blankets in the room were itchy and very thin. The staff was nice. The snack store at the front desk was reasonably priced and had a good selection. In walking distance to a gas station, dispensary and restaurants so that was nice if you don’t have a car while traveling.

Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast was good and overall loved our stay!

Stayed here 3 nights for our trip to Cedar Point. Hotel worked well for what we needed: easy to get to park, affordable, comfy beds. Breakfast was meh but free. Older property showing it's age. Staff were great!

Very convenient and close to Cedar Point. Breakfast had no variety which is why i gave only 4 stars. They should think about adding other things like pancakes or bacon. All the staff were super nice and room was spotless

Hot breakfast was included which was a joke. One waffle maker, a few pieces of bread and a toaster was it. People were looking around like "this is it?". Fruit that was out was wrinkled. Plates and silverware needed re-filled. The ice machines did not work on the second floor.

This hotel was very good in all aspects except the breakfast was lacking options. The breakfast attendants tried their best to keep restocking food, but several things were out for a few time intervals due to the demand. Overall, a very nice place to stay and a good price.

Nice hotel. Good breakfast, although we were told at check in that breakfast went until 10 everyday and that was apparently only true of weekends.

It can be a bit noisy with other guests coming and going. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is legit.
