A small motel with a warm family feel all the amenities necessary for a business trip or family vacation.

Very nice and quiet just an old property. Needs a few repairs. All in all, very clean and well kept. Good beach access good pool. Beautiful grass.

The pelican Inn has all the feel of a small hotel, with all the accommodations of a big hotel. Conveniently locate in the center of everything. You can be in Port Aransas in 30 minutes.

Had a great time at pelican inn stayed with the family and enjoyed the immenities especially being able to bbq at the picnic tables

Great place, clean, quiet and has washers and drier. Staff very polite

I know this was a cheaper choice in hotels, but the condition of the room was below expectations. Lights that didn't work. Bathroom wall holes and unpainted patches. Bathroom fixtures broken or missing. No ice in the ice machine.

For starters, the whole office building is on lock up. You can't go inside. The workers are not friendly. They rip you off with expensive taxes and deposits even after you already paid. They say you will get refunded on your card for deposits but then totally rip you off. The room smells bad, the sheets have cigarette burns and stains. There's no where to hang your clothes. No drawers. No office access. No grass for the dogs. There's a tiny square that is full of fish guts and trash. The parking and hotel access is horrendous. Oh, and dont sit on the couches in the delux rooms. They are disgusting.

Absolutely disgusting mold infested bathroom , mysterious stains everywhere, putrid smell, cigarette burns on bed sheets , staff lied . I was shown 3 separate rooms and they were all putrid

This place needs to be shut down by the health department. Avoid at all cost. Spend the extra $10-20 & find a place that’s actually decent enough to not leave poop in the toilet, rotten food in the fridge, dirty filthy grimey floors, full of mold from the pillows to the ceiling. Had to spend money at Walmart just to sleep there. Bought a mattress cover, pillow, blanket because the bed was so filthy, broom, mop, bleach because I couldn’t walk on the floor without my slides getting grimey. If you have socks they will turn black. Then to comeback from Walmart & some guy with face tattoos is cleaning the room mopping the floors stirring the dirt around with an oily sticky chemical that made it worst & then still left the rotten food in the fridge. Asked the manager for a refund for the remaining 6 days of my stay & they refused. Then kick you out for showing them pics of how bad it is. Any platform that promotes this place should be a shame to do business with them. I never write reviews but this place took the cake for one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. I’m working night shift construction & was waiting for my first payday to find a nicer place so I tried to book one more day after spending $400 for the 7days that they wouldn’t refund. I go to the office show the guy all the pics of the mold and dirt to see if I could at least get discount and he refused to let me book 1more night. So tired from work I just wanted to sleep now I gotta wait till 3pm check in elsewhere

This was the dirtiest room. I have ever been in. Table was dirty, mold all under the sink, walked about 15 feet after shower to the bed had to go back and wash feet again had to wear flips all the time. I would not recommend at all.

The place was filthy, sink was leaking, the microwave was not working and it stunk so bad, not worth a penny nobody should be renting a room like that. So no, I do not recommend this place to anybody. I ended up cutting my trip short. Unfortunately, I didn’t take any pictures to share with you.

Walked into the room, noticed rest on the tub.0⁰ Cracks in the toilet. Cracks in the wall.none of the light Fixtures were plugged in due to no outlets multiple plugs plugged into a power strip, Towels were either dirty or had rust on them. The curtains wouldn't completely close the window. For $100 a night the rooms could have been keeped up better

We had roaches in our room, sheets had blood stains on them. For the price I understood what we would get but roaches isn’t acceptable.

I have never in my life had such a miserable experience with the hotel room we get there we pay our room we go to the room there's feces Nickelodeon the shower was filthy black with mold everywhere and the bedding was stained so we went straight back downstairs and they would not refund us this place needs to be shut down by the health department it is that nasty I would never ever tell anybody about that place I wouldn't let my dog stay there it's that gross but they kept your money it would not refund it expecting you to stay and feel if there was a minus 100 for the rating that is what they would get it's that bad I wouldn't recommend this place I wouldn't even think about this place but remember this this is not a direct reflection on hotels.com they have no idea that the property with this nasty I always get good deals with hotels.com and they were surprised that I was when I told him what it was like

The room was NASTY roach poop on the bed and live roach on one the bed. Roach poop all over the room. Pictures are deceiving. That’s why I booked it but was very disappointed. I would not recommend anyone to stay there. Tub was clogged, rusty and the employee asked if we wanted a plunger. What the heck that not our job. Wished we could get out money back.

This hotel is older and needs some love, but it was overall what we expected. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was hot. The bed was firmly comfortable and easily suited a get away weekend for my husband and me. It’s not fancy, but it worked!

The hotel has had some renovations but the bathroom can use some updates. The room was clean but there was a smell inside most likely from something used to clean which made it hard to fall asleep. There was some sort of noise going on as well and the windows are so old that you can here every vehicle passing by.

The online pictures are extremely misleading. The property is in very poor condition. The rooms are basically a bed in a room. They shove 3 full size beds into a small efficacy size room side by side, the television is rigged wired to the wall. Wires exposed on wall lamps, Bathroom was horrendous and towels were stained yellow. Ur not given the option to NOT have cleaning service.so i would not recommend leaving ANY expensive items in the room. I did not complete my stay there and checked out immediately. I WILL NEVER stay here again.

3 of the different lights wouldn’t work. Only one plug works they had extension cords run around to power the tv

The floors need maintenance and anlmost all outlets were broken.

Guess you get what you pay for. Thought we would stay to get a quick vacation in. Everything was dirty and gross. Toilet was cracked. Tub/shower was dirty and poorly maintained. We had 6 people staying and they gave us 2 towels to bathe with. When asked for more they took our used ones and only gave 2 more. Internet was terrible. Don’t say free wifi if it doesn’t even work. Everything didn’t seem clean. Definitely don’t stay here. Now I know why it was on the lower price. Very noisy. Cheap everything. Window blinds were terrible. Expect not to sleep with the bright outside lights shinning in. Save your money and go somewhere else. Definitely will be telling everyone not to stay.

Room felt humid not the greatest but good and cheap place to just lay your head for a night

I locked myself out of my room at 3am in the morning and the front desk guy WAS on duty and extremely helpful!!!

Very rude front desk girl, she disappeared for over an hour and when she did show up was rude and disrespectful refusing to check me in even though I had prepared for my room.

It was very relaxing and chill. All the people at the hotel; office, housekeepers, other guest were very friendly and helpful!!

Got to hotel and they were qui k to take my card to charge. They said I could see room until I payed. After getting my key I immediately saw how dirty it was, I inspected the beds and the sheets were all stained and they had bugs. I immediately went to the front desk and cancelled my reservation. They said they couldnt do anything until Monday since it was on a Saturday.that I had to contact Expedia. So I had to go and spend more money on another hotel! Worst experience ever!

The room I booked online was not available when I arrived, so I was offered a different room with only 2 beds and a pullout couch instread of the 3 beds. I was also told I would get a discount and since I had already payed they would refund me the discount. I still haven't received any refund. Its veen a week and nothing.

I booked a room through you and got there and the manager told me I had no reservation so I went to another hotel and got a room. Then they charged me for the room anyway. So the pelican hotel owes me 302 dollars.

We have come to this hotel a couple of times and the beds are always comfy and the AC blows out cold air which we love...The staff is great and we will be coming back again...

Almost an hour away from the beach. The hotel needs a deep cleaning it’s horrible. Move the beds and you will see the dirt and stained floors. There was poop on the bathroom door when we walked in. Never again will I stay here.

The location was good. The room was not. It was dirty, light fixtures had broken cords, the toilet was not securely bolted to the floor, the bathroom lacked hooks for hanging wet towels, the door had a one-inch gap between it and the floor, and the room reeked of mold and mildew. When we checked in, we were informed that we were in an “economy room” and that we could upgrade to a “deluxe room” for an additional $60 per night. (It sounded like a “bait and switch”) We declined. The hotel has a policy that no refunds would be given after check-in, so we decided to keep the room as a matter of principle. We do not recommend this hotel unless saving money is your only criterion.

The room stinked/stank through my nine day stay. Even freshener i bought did no good. I think it was the air unit. Refuse room 103. Staff went in to spray something and I went in to make sure they didn't squirt their water bottle all over my belongings. It never helped. There was obvious signs of mold in areas. Shower floor was lumpy and dangerous of slipping. Microwave was deteriorated enough that city health department would've sht a brick if there exists a health department in the city. Door had huge cracks in it, wall plugs didn't work (Recommend bringing an extension cord and power strip). There is no place to hang your clothes. There's no breakfast, coffee, nothing. No daily cleaning. The pluses is, the water is drinkable, bed is comfortable and bedding is clean. Floors require flip flops. I don't think it's worth the cost in an area that has nothing in shopping and dining. This is a city area that needs vast improvements and better city management because it's in a beautiful area.

A cup of coffee is always appreciated. This is the first time that I was not able to get a cup of coffee on the premises. This is a very barebones motel. To get the room that I wanted, I had to pay a surcharge upon arrival. Classic bait and switch. Cleanliness also left a lot to be desired.

There were no close food places in the area. The room it self was super dirty.. Stains and hair on all the sheets. Towels were still damp. I had to ask for dry towels so we could shower, Dirt all over the floors.
