The Roxbury

The Roxbury is a fun getaway. We enjoyed the hot tub and steam room.

I only wish i could have seen other rooms ! And for future stay i now know where to book , searching online was not so easy. Our locations hot tub wasnt working and our location we stayed the owners should really put in a pool so guests dont have to drive 2 miles for pool time . But otherwise it was nice the employess were curtious and polite .

We didn't know there was no room tidying, but if you asked for something you could get it. We had the final frontier room. Seemed like a bit over grown but still nice. I heard there are new owners, so I guess they are sorting things out. The pool was great as it was hot out. We skimmed it our selves. We had a lot of fun with our friends and met very nice people. Summer time restaurants start the week on Wednesday. The winter is their busy season.

Nice room for the price - unique decor. The outside is nice; I think you could do more for evening options (especially with limited things in walking distance that are open in the evening). Can you actually light the wood pit by the river? How about keeping deck with gas fire pit open later? Maybe some simple snacks around fire pits would help.

We love the condition, cleanliness and unique character of the Roxbury! The all night tea and coffee, patio area and carry out breakfast were perfect for us. The only drawback was not having a pool. Nevertheless we recommend the Roxbury for a fun and very memorable experience! We hope to return soon.

The Roxbury is a gem! This hotel is beautiful and there are thoughtful touches everywhere. The sign up for hot tub and sauna is genius. You can truly relax and enjoy the space. The staff is welcoming and friendly. We are definitely coming back.

Loved everything about this property and the Stratton falls location. We had the crooked cabana spa and sauna all to ourselves for 45 minutes, check in was easy and staff was friendly, but the room was the reason we came and it did not disappoint.

WARNING: there are two properties under this listing. One is (apparently) a nice hotel, the other is a motel 2.5 miles away. We needed a place near this location as we passed through, and a boutique hotel added a bit of character. It was 92 the day we arrived so we were looking forward to the pool. We arrived at 5 PM. There’s no pool at the motel, you need to travel to the hotel. But first you need to reserve a slot at the pool, and those are only available 3 times a day, 10AM, 1 PM, 4 PM. If you arrive at 5 PM, no pool for you. They may set you up with 10 AM the next day, but check out is 11 AM and the pool is 2.5 miles away. So I asked if I could get the $20 motel “facilities fee” back if we couldn’t use the pool, and was advised that the $20 covers the free WiFi, free parking (Motel!), free coffee, etc. As for the motel room, “Contemporary 5”, they must’ve run out of energy by the time they got here. It’s just a normal motel room with 2 double beds (which we were required to get because we have a child) with the old wallpaper covered in glitter wallpaper and with some plastic decorations added. You will find the original motel plastic tub. Similar hotels/motels are available in the area without glitter but with a pool you can swim in on a hot day for half the cost. The “spa,” by the way, is an indoor hot tub in a mostly empty room which you must reserve in one of 5 time slots. We never saw it being used (passageway window) nor the lawn games, nor the many plastic chairs.

Very fun and whimsical property! Great staff and service. Loved being able to reserve hot tub & dry sauna for privacy, and wonderful toiletries! Will definitely return.

Very smart business. Clean ..(ridiculously clean) ..safe.. and secure. Just like home I have family up in Roxbury but thinking to stay at the Roxbury anyway! Cool interior design.. cool staff.. safe quiet and a whole lot of zen!

A lovely, clean, creatively decorated room and property. Fine attention to detail was so appreciated by us. We came to ski Bellayre and stayed here overnight. It was a very pleasant surprise. From the wine bottle in the room ($20 charge but excellent quality), to the quality bedding/towels/soap to a continental breakfast in room delivery (included in your stay) and overall lovely grounds - a wonderful experience, will definitely come again.

Breakfast (bagged) was nice to eat around the fire pit. I was surprised that our room smelled a little musty because the staff seemed caring, competent and professional and did seem to want us to enjoy our stay (which we did)

Easy check-in, Complementary breakfast and rooms were clean and nice. We even got robes and slippers! Microwave and mini fridge in the room with bottles of wine available for purchase. Would recommend and will be back.

This place was one of a kind. From the decor to the themes, the vibe was great. Would definitely stay again and will be recommending to all my friends!!

The pictures oversold the room. It was unclear that the room we chose was in the annex motel; which is located on the curve of a road. Our room was right next to that road curve; which meant it was very noisy with cars racing their engines most of the night. The bed was ok, the sheets were soft; but the pillows were flat. The AC unit worked for almost 4 hours in the evening. It stopped working about 1 am which means we got very little sleep and was woken at 4:30 am by the fire and/or air raid siren that went on for almost 5 minutes! Will Never stay there again.

Beautiful design and really outstanding place

We absolutely loved our stay in the Go Lightly room! The attention to detail in the decor was stunning. Breakfast at Tiffany's is one of my favorite movies! I just wish they had the movie available to watch in the room. The outside areas were uniquely decorated and really have a lovely space to enjoy nature. We definitely will definitely be coming back!

Loved how unique the motel was! It was even more of a get-a-way than we expected! A con was that on a warm Spring day, the room was quite warm. There was a thermostat on the wall that was adjustable but didn't seem to make a difference. We didn't bother to ask the front desk, perhaps they could have helped. Sheets and towels were very soft and comfortable. Check in/out was easy but impersonable. Room was much smaller than appeared online, but big enough for what we needed.

The rooms were so well thought out and each unique in its own way. With each rooms coming with lovely robes and slippers. And the complimentary soaps were delightful. To the grad and go breakfast bags put together. But the must impressive part of my stay was the incredible staff. Mostly ran by one wonderful woman who made it her mission to be most gracious and hospitable to myself and my family. I will be awaiting my next visit to the Roxbury motel.

Such a unique place! I loved just walking around the property and looking at all the unique details

The service was fantastic. The details of the room were over the top. We had the Wizard’s Emeralds room. Anything we needed was provided if not already included, the bathroom had double vanities, a deep soaking tub and double showers.

It was a little noisy because the guests next door to us sat outside their room talking loudly while smoking & drinking.

The Roxbury was a fun and unique little getaway! We were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff and their above-and-beyond service. As LGBTQ+ travelers, we always appreciate a safe space and The Roxbury provided just that. In addition to the staff, we loved the breakfast options and facilities! We will definitely stay here again!

We have been here before and it seems to get better each time ! The staff is amazing and the hotel and its accommodations are awesome !

Down the road there is a restaurant called Chappies that was pretty good, but everything shuts down on a weekday by about 9:00PM

I can see why they have won so many awards!!! Outstanding service!!! We loved every minute of our stay. I wish we had met the owners... to say thank you! Kim would have stood on her head if we had asked her to do it!!! LOVED< LOVED it so much. We will be back!!!

It was a lovely weekend getaway to the Roxbury, which was highly recommended. I think Covid influenced the way breakfast is done, which stinks, cuz it would’ve been nice to mingle with other guests, but still the presentation was thoughtful. Front desk staff very kind, cool rooms, lovely outdoor area, and cute lil town to eat and browse. Would def go back, hopefully more shops will open in the area!

Very easy to walk to town

Beautiful artistically decorated rooms. Very cool. Free breakfast was ordering a breakfast bag - choices were typical continental. I misunderstood so didn’t get a bag. Better yet I went to a cool local restaurant for breakfast. Cell service was weak so that was frustrating. No maid service unless you ask for it but didn’t really need it. I loved this hotel. There are 2 Roxburys. Ours was the one near the Old Mill Restaurant which we loved.

Great place if you want to get away from the city. It has a fairytale feel with a good crew.

Everything was amazing I can’t wait to come back. The set up was a little unprecedented at the Motel and although dining and shopping options were of good quality and service, the area is obviously a tourist attraction and it KNOWS. All in all a great time and can’t wait to experience another room in the summer or fall!
