Cons: Terrible parking... No spaces by hotel... Had to walk forever. Bathroom door was a joke. It had no handle, just a little latch that you could not grasp. Essentially the bathroom door doesn't shut in room 208. Pros: Nice looking facility, clean inside, clean room, great breakfast, fast and helpful staff, In fact, I really wanted to give this hotel 5 stars, but the door and the parking were frustrating. Would I stay here again... Yes. Please fix the bathroom door in room 208, or all of the rooms if they are the same way

The shampoo was empty. Unfortunately I didn’t know that until I was already in the shower. It was filled when I asked so that was good. There was no decaf coffee for breakfast. The worst part was the “Free airport shuttle”. We had an early flight so we scheduled a 4:15 shuttle. We were in the lobby at 4:00am but there was no staff person to confirm we were still getting a ride - apparently if it snows they won’t take you, even though the property is in Maine. It took at least 5 minutes to find an employee who then told us the shuttle had gotten stuck twice and was out of service (the shuttle was parked in front of the hotel so that was confusing). When another hotel guest pressed for more information the employee admitted the drivers hadn’t shown up for work. They also tried to say someone tried to call us. None of us received a call. So not only did we have to scramble to find a ride to the airport, we were lied to by an employee TWICE and had to pay for a ride.

It’s an ok hotel. The pool is tiny and breakfast selection is awful. The location is directly adjacent to a gas station with a dispensary, and the booms from the nearby jetport runway are quite loud. The room itself is fine. For our family’s purposes only having 3 pillows per bed was an issue.

Liked the amenities and excellent breakfast. The shuttle service was helpful and timely. Too much chlorine at pool- burns eyes.

Monica at the front desk was fantastic! She helped with many questions we had and really seemed to go above and beyond in makikg sure we had a good stay. I observed her doing similar with other guests. Hotel was very clean and had a new feel to it. Airport shuttle was very convenient and efficient.

We called the hotel to verify park and fly option for our reservation when booking. Once we arrived we were notified there is no park and fly option due to construction next door. We were told we could call a neighbouring hotel to see if we could leave our car there. This option was not acceptable. We should have been notified of the change

My stay was great. The facility is in great condition, my room was spacious, the gym is pretty good, the pool was pretty clean and it is close to some restaurants and stores. It is also a short drive away from downtown. Despite being close to the airport, it is relatively quiet. The cleaning could be improved somewhat. I had a great experience.

Pool was closed for maintenance all weekend. Perfectly good waste of my $500 and the kids couldn’t jump in the pool.

We waited 1.5 hours for the Van to pick us up. After three phone, it never did show up until after we took a taxi to the hotel. We will see tomorrow what happens when we talk to the manger?

A great hotel. As it happens with almost any hotel recently, the pool is not working

Construction next door eliminated most of the parking spaces. Very loud in the hallway. Dogs barking. Mold in the shower. I had to take the lid off the toilet and pull the chain to flush, handle didn’t work. I’m not usually a complainer, but for $300 plus for one night, I expected more. I stayed in room 311 on 10/05/2024.

The ceiling of the room had mold. The heating system needed to be exchanged due to the noise it was making. The walls were very thin and could hear everything. The food was not good for breakfast nothing listed for the ingredients and no juices were offered.

clean rooms & comfortable beds; old infrastructure showing off as new outside a little misleading; lingering sent of cigarette smell in hallways and carpet very worn: pocket door to bathroom troublesome; air conditioner sounded like a car alarm a block away; no ice in machines during very hot days. Very nice staff and lovely common space on first floor. Gym/pool looked utd and clean but did not use.

Very clean and comfortable room. Hotel staff were friendly and the hotel was attractive, clean and in a great location. Would definitely stay again!

Bathroom was disgusting, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks.

We had a very good 3-night stay. We were with 3 teens, so the pool and the weight to were great ways to stay active. Our room was very large and offered plenty of storage space. The bathroom needs more hooks especially since you cant hang anything on the pocket door. On the surface everything in our rokm was clean, but upon closer inspection it needed some deep cleaning. There was some spots on the bathroom wall and the rug had stains that need to be shampooed out. The same goes cor the hallways carpets. Every floor had a big, dark stains. Breakfast was good enough. They offered hot eggs everyday and one type of meat, but never any potatoes. Those are served only on the weekends. The food was quickly eeplenished but the serving area needed to be cleaned up better. The lobby was great. Plenty of seating and charghing ports. This location was good for getting to Old Port by car, as it was 15 minutes away. I loved seeimg the planes take off and land at the airport right across the road. The people at the front desk were nice enough, but never overly friendly. Sometimes they didnt even look up, nevermind a hello or welcome back. The men who clean the rooms speak no English whatsoever, nothing. It was near impossible to communicate with them. The hotel offers nice amenties, is modern and clean so I would recommend it.

Very clean and spacious rooms

Very friendly front desk workers. Our room didn’t have clean hand towels, hair in the tub/shower, no toiletries we had to go find someone and all they gave us was a small bar of soap. We handed them back a dirty cleaning rag that they left in the bathroom. The beds were comfortable and the room itself wasn’t bad. When I woke in the morning went into take a shower and there was no hot water I jumped out and I felt like it was gonna start getting warm so I went to get back in and then it instantly turned cold again that was upsetting.

No ventilation in bathroom leads to expected outcome of black mold in the bathroom along the door jams, they clearly know about it because they tried to cover it with paint. Smoke detector coming off wall. Whole second floor smelled of a Friday night fish fry for the duration of our stay. Pool is tiny, not enough to even accommodate 8 people safely. Other than the bathroom where the cleaners missed some errant pubic hairs on the toilet, the room space aside was very well kept.

Very dirty!!! We were put in the wrong size room and when I called the front desk to change rooms they gave me a hard time. They ended up putting us in a room that hadn’t even been cleaned. Crumbs on the counters and sticky rings from glasses left on the counters. Floor had crumbs too. Bathroom was dirty. We asked for some cleaner to clean the counters ourselves and it took over an hour and a half for them to show up with a rag. This was the dirtiest Hilton I’ve ever been in! It seemed very poorly managed.

Noisy air conditioning system.. moved to another room and same issue with the second room.

The rooms are large enough for up to 6 people with lg fridge and kitchen area. However trying to watch the one tv is a little hard. Great choice tho for a family to stay, breakfast was ok but really in a crowded little spot of the lobby . Overall I’d stay again.

Comfortable bed and very clean room. Had the room with 2 queen beds along with a sofa and it came with a small kitchenette that had a microwave and fridge. Nice hot and col breakfast in the morning. The only thing was that you can hear planes go off here and there - it wasn’t constant so that was good.

Shower head was messed up. Bathroom door can not lock

Overall was perfect. My 4th time at this place. Will return again in November Only gave 4 stars. Biggest thing i wish would get better is the pillows. There is more air in these pillows then a bag of Lay Chips. Biggest thing part of a stay at any hotel or resort is pillow comfort. I could not get comfortable while sleeping.

Room was very comfortable. Mattresses were well worn and breakfast was pretty soggy. Other than that, it was nice.

This room was very affordably priced- wasn't sure what to expect. But the room was clean, spacious, and had great amenities. Overall the facility was new and well maintained. I would rate this very high because we got a great value for the price. I would easily pay triple this for the same elsewhere. Conveniently located as well.

Property was located close to the airport. The adjacent rooms and hallway noise was loud. We could hear the TV in the next room all night. Room was clean and large for size.

Check in was pleasant, the room was as expected. Beds were comfy, water pressure was actually amazing. Wet dog smell in the hallway, it wasn’t in our room so we didn’t mention it. The room across from us and next to us had multiple dogs, that loved to bark. There was a “manager” going off on staff about table/chair placements in the dining area, in front of several guests in the lobby. The walls are SUPER thin. Could hear EVERYTHING our neighbors and even the person above us was doing and saying. Met several “managers”. One asked my handicapped grandfather if he really had to park in a spot that was in the front. When he said yes, the “manager” said they’re trying to unload furniture. We could hear kids screaming and blasting music in the pool after 9pm- our room was on the 2nd floor. Called down and nothing was done. 9:30pm went down to the desk and was told they can’t do anything until 10pm. Even though there’s a sign right by the pool entrance that says 9pm. Another “manager” harassed us at the pool by telling us we couldn’t prop a door open or have food. We didn’t prop the door open and we didn’t have food. He walked in behind us, so he knew that. There was also no signage about not having food. He was extremely rude. When we told him we were not having a good stay he shrugged his shoulders and said sorry about that and left. We travel often and stay at Home2Suites frequently and never had these issues. This location is terrible. Already emailed corporate.

I wish hospitality staff at the front desk had a welcoming persona..So many times, no one is freindly, greets you as you approach the desk to speak with them to check in nor thanks you for your business. This was all the case on Feb 14 about 10:50 pm checkin. I had a young lady with zero friendly attitude. The morning gals (2) on Feb 15 checkout were completely the opposite and get 10 out of 10 scores. Especially the supervisor/mgr gal who was superb customer service towards me.

The front desk woman was exceptional. She help me accommodate my husband’s Parkinson’s needs. We are very grateful for her special attention.

We arrived early and spoke with Rachel. It was just after 1 pm and she was kind enough to allow us to check in early. There was an issue with the key machine. Rather than have us wait, we were escorted to our room and let in. A short time later when the key cards were ready, they were delivered to our room. I couldn’t be more pleased with the property, but the staff was above and beyond!

Our stay was nice. The only issue i had was the person in the next room woke me up at 2:30am playing their TV to loud. i walked down to the front desk and the guy on the desk handled matters.

This is our second time staying at Home 2 Suites in Portland. The locations is very convenient to I-95 and I-295 as well as Maine Mall and Downtown Portland. The staff is very pleasant and welcoming at check in/out, and at breakfast. Our room was similar on both visits, and it is really spacious, with excellent lighting. The room is equipped with small kitchenette area which includes mid sized refrigerator, microwave, sink, toaster, coffee maker and actual glasses, cups, bowls, plates and paper towels! Good air conditioning, black out shades, comfortable king size bed. A retractable curtain offered some privacy from the couch/TV area. Another nice feature was an end table and a stowaway table on wheels. The bathroom was really clean, and plenty of hot water. The breakfast was simple, but good enough when you consider the great price for all of this. We will definitely consider this next time we pass through.

It's a conveniently located hotel with a variety of restaurants and shops nearby.There is a gas station next door too. I did think the parking may be a bit limited when the hotel is full.Also the hotel is right next to the Portland Airport. The airport is not that busy and it did not bother us. But someone sensitive to occasional plan taking off or landing may not like it.

Nice hotel in a good location with respect to Portland. Very clean, staff were very friendly. The only issue we had were the early morning jets taking off right over the hotel.

It was a great location. There are restaurants near the hotel but it's a quick 10 min car trip to the main area/ down town area if you want a waterfront meal or shopping.

The only issue I had is that my real key card was never programmed. I had to use the app on my phone to get into my room. The breakfast they provided was also HORRIBLE for a Hilton property. Barely had any selection and they only had fake eggs and ham

Overall was good. Easy check in and out. Breakfast was pretty good. Room 228 was clean and comfortable with no complaints

The powdered eggs at breakfast are horrible. Please change that for something edible.

The bed was low and decor unattractive. The bathroom needs a fan. Breakfast buffet-yogurt machine and waffle maker not working

Horrible Breakfast

I was on the 4th floor and found the hotel room to be clean and spacious for 2 people. The room was well equipped and we found the floor to be quite. The breakfast was poor and needed to be reorganized. Orange juice was not an option. The waffle and toaster were beside each other causing congestion. I have stayed at many hotel brands with a free breakfast. This one was at the bottom of the list for hot options. However I picked this hotel on price and value for the room and not the free breakfast. Had the breakfast been better, I would have given the hotel 5 stars.

The bathroom latch was falling out of the door, also the electrical outlet in the bathroom was starting to pull out of the wall. This hotel offers a breakfast, but nothing for those on early flights.

There breakfast was awful. No variety and the food tasted horrible. Heard multiple people say that while at breakfast.

Breakfast has lots of choices

Overall good experience. Rooms are huge, easy to get to, parking is great. Easy check in. My only complaint would be limited breakfast. No fruit options, bland ham and eggs… that weren’t really good. Waffle makers only toast cook on one side. Really limited options when offering free breakfast. Honestly… had a “breakfast grab bag” at a cheaper hotel during the summer, and the grab bag was better than the breakfast here. But … nonetheless, I would recommend this hotel.
