We enjoyed our stay. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was small but newly renovated. They could use a new bathroom door though as it would not shut tight. This sink was outside the bathroom. Shower was hot and ok pressure. Refrigerator was cold and has separate freezer so we could refreeze our ice packs. There was a very nice courtyard and sitting area but we couldn’t use because of the rain. Parking right out front but only four spots. There was a church bell/chimes that went off every hour from 6-8. Also a window air/heat but works well but just noisy. The walls were thin as there was a family next door any they were very loud. Overall we enjoyed our stay

Very charming older property with some nice upgrades. Lovely property with patios and outdoor gathering spaces. Bathroom door did not close and needs to be rehung to align with door frame. Quality linens and towels. Love the retro refrigerator and microwave. Didn't interact with any staff so couldn't rate them good or bad. Would definitely stay here again.

This property did not only have a great room for the night, but everything from the parking lot to the room was so thoughtfully arranged. The patio and the different hangout spots were beautifully arranged!

The biggest issue I had was the parking. If you have a compact car it’s great, we were in a crew cab dually pulling a 20 ft trailer. We had to park half a block away on the street. The other thing was I opened the refrigerator to put in some items from our cooler, it was turned off and the smell was terrible. It made the enter room stink like moldy fridge.

Parking was a bit confusing at first but was actually great. No contact check in was efficient. My room #7 was a "blast from the past" with some plumbing eccentricities. It has been a long time since I had a room with a bar! The shag rug and leather couch was like time travel to my youth. We even had some cowhide influence. I love a place with a 50s motel vibe. Especially when the place is SPOTLESS and has great towels. The TV and Wi-Fi worked great too. I would definitely stay here again.

This motel is a hidden treasure (so hidden, I almost drove by it! I arrived late at night after a long day of travel. There is no lobby and you get a code to open your small, but renovated and clean, unit. After I left, I realized that I had left an expensive pair of headphones in the room. I texted the ‘innkeeper’ who said they hadn’t found any. A week later he texted me that indeed they had been found (in the office drawer) and they went through the trouble of sending them back to me. They were so nice. I can’t recommend this place enough.

When I turned the lights out to go to sleep I had bugs crawling on me they were large Beetles that started to crawl up my arms. It was very difficult to sleep after that. It was also very humid in the room.

In a safe, older area of town. Streets were lined with beautiful older homes. Very cute room with vintage touches. The little red mini-fridge and microwave had me at hello. The bed.was firm and very comfortable. The beautifully landscaped yard and flower beds were an added bonus.

The room was cozy and clean however the set up was not very comfortable. The a/c had to run most of the time and was very noisy. The television was very small and the volume didn’t get very high which made it difficult to hear over the a/c. The water took several minutes like about 10 to get warm for a shower but once it finally got warm it was comfortable.

We pulled off the road due to road conditions and were thrilled to find this cute hotel in town. Great to get off the freeway. However…the wall between us and our neighbor must have been made from paper towels. We could hear everything and they talked well into the wee hours of the morning. The heater was super old and very loud. It was cold out, so it was off/on all night long. There was light coming in the door from the outside, so we had to have the heat on. It’s an older place but made to look cute. The courtyard was lovely (small). But, the bad night sleep just ruined it for us.

Came back to motel and relaxed then went for dinner at Parts and Labor Brewery which was only 5 minute walk from Crest Motel. Absolutely fantastic place to spend night if your going to Sterling.

My daughter and I stayed 2 nights, once on the way to our destination and once on the way back. The first evening we were awoken by 2 men trying to get into our room. We think they had the wrong room as they were using keypad and looking at their cell phones. It was very upsetting none the less and I could not get hold of the hotel operator at the time, although later after texting him, he did get back to me to assure it had been a traveler mix up. Both stays we had the same room. The remodeling of the hotel was done nicely to bring it up to date. The room was clean and comfortable. I wish there had been a coffee maker in the room. It was nice to have a mini fridge and microwave though.

I was really hopeful I could find a local place instead of a chain. I was raised in this town and wanted to support the community. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the room. I was taken back when we went to shower and there was not any hot water. Joe was very responsive and told us there was an unusual demand for hot water that morning and to wait 30 minutes. I know the property was not at capacity since we had a room for 4 and only 2 of us (and had not used any water yet). We were set back on our timeframe for our event and found another place to stay the second night. I did not reach out to Joe by 1100 (the check out time) because we were at our event, and because of the time (I contacted him at 1:45pm), he would not refund the second night. My opinion is that I should have at least been given a late check out refund. My request was a full refund as we could not shower and get ready on time and that was denied. The lack of water was my only complaint, but if I cannot get ready and make it to my destination on time, that is a fault of the property when the basic need was hot water.

This is a lovingly restored older motel. It was very clean and obviously the owner put a lot of effort in to it. It is within walking distance of downtown and several restaurants. We will definitely stay there again.

Very cute and welcoming property. The bed was incredible, it felt like a temperpedic. My only complaint is there's not a breakfast of any kind offered.

Could hear everything from adjourning room. I didn’t read well enough to know there was no breakfast or even coffee. Would not have stayed had I read that.

The flowers in the courtyard were beautiful. Right in downtown area so easy walk to restaurants and shops.

This place is a gem! We plan to stay again. The bed was comfy, and everything was thoughtfully renovated. Only thing missing was a coffee pot!

The Crest motel is an 8 room, 1960's style mom and pop enterprise. We've stayed twice in different rooms. Both were very charming. They come with microwave and refrigerator. They are clean, it has a streamlined check-in. The rooms are comfortable and the area around the motel is very welcoming.

Great/quiet location with an awesome atmosphere, which included a court yard. Contact less check-in and communication (via text message) exceeding expectations. We would definitely stay here again.

I have stayed here several times now and it's always great. It's a cute location and quiet. I had a brief chance to meet the owners of the property , and she is so. I live at a state but I wish I had a place like this near me that I could have little getaways at
