Como sempre extraordinário! Já é o 4.° ano que vamos no verão e a experiência é sempre espetacular. Todo o hotel muito limpo, zona da piscina sempre agradável e espaço muito limpo, pequeno almoço soberbo com muita variedade, camas muito confortáveis, lençóis e toalhas limpas, limpeza diária dos quartos, estacionamento gratuito com direito a parque privado. Zona com bons acessos.

Such a good value! Friendly, welcoming staff, superb breakfast, free parking, on-site restaurant was quite good and very popular with locals. Rooms are a bit tight on space but the finishes are lovely. Nice balcony and patio area attached to our room. The location holds no charm but the hotel is very nice - would definitely stay here again. It is just outside of Tavira but its an easy drive into town.

The desk staff was great. Very informative and hard worker. Gave good recomendations for dinner. Breakfast was terrific. Best one while traveling around portugal. Easy to find, easy to park. Room comfortable.

Hotel is small and welcoming. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. Room was clean and a good size. Nespresso machine in room. Breakfast very good, hot dishes of Bacon and scrambled egg. Cold ham and ham, cereals, bread, rolls and croissants, fruit and cakes. Restaurant, O Tacho, adjacent isvery good for lunch or dinner.

As a couple we stayed at this hotel on 1st May 2024. The reason we chose, was because it would accept pets, and we have 2 dogs. The hotel is happy to accept them, as long as they are well behaved. In addition you need to be aware that you are liable for any damage. This was not a problem for us as our dogs are well trained and responsive. I would imagine humans cause a lot more damage! We paid about €80 for our room, which was clean, tidy and spacious. There was a fridge, coffee machine, and good size private bathroom in our room. There is a good size swimming pool as well! We were also delighted that the price included breakfast, which was very good and covered everyone's needs (ie veggie, etc). Its about 2KM into town and there is a busy road outside with nor pavement. However, we ordered a pet friendly UBER taxi each way, which cost us €4 each time, and made life very easy. This hotel is well worth a try, especially if you wish to bring your dog/cat etc, and we will certainly use it again, when we next visit Tavira. Finally, we received great service from Raul, behind reception. He was kind, courteous and a credit to the hotel

This is an excellent little hotel, pet friendly, a very short drive or cheap Uber away from Tavira. As others have remarked, it is not suitable for anyone wishing to walk in the immediate area due to the busy roads and lack of pedestrian access to countryside. We found the staff to be unfailingly kind and courteous, going out of their way to assist. The room was spacious with a balcony and everything one could reasonably expect at this price point, including coffee maker/ hot water dispenser ( pods from reception for a modest charge) and fridge.The air conditioning was efficient and adjustable. There was an extensive choice at breakfast, including hot and cold dishes, good cakes and pastries and a variety of milks such as soy and almond. The white coffee from the machine was unpleasant to our tastes, but was easily solved by microwaving milk of choice and using the separate espresso machine. There is a separate grill restaurant/ takeaway on site serving a good range of dishes at reasonable prices. It was well patronised by locals. The fumes from grilling were unwelcome at times depending on wind direction. The infinity pool was clean and scrupulously maintained. Towels were free of charge. Chairs and loungers available poolside. All in all I would thoroughly recommend this hotel as being of excellent value.

For a road trip, this is a great option. The rooms are modern and fresh, parking ample and secure (room card entry), great pool area with loungers and nice landscaping. Our late arrival from the airport still received a warm welcome with lots of information and a polite room change to one with balcony - a huge terrace! Much bigger than the compact room. Breakfast was very pleasant woth good coffee section, some hot anc plenty of continental. The cake choices were impressive - particularly the nut ones. The walk to town was not difficult, involving a short stretch alongside the main road, over a low barrier and down into town. A few minutes and you can be at the ferry terminal for the sand bar beaches or in the streets to explore the churches and Camera Obscura.

Lovely decor, boutique feel. Fantastic breakfast choice. Nothing was too much trouble for the young men who work here. The pool is a good size but it needs regular cleaning as does the sunbed area - not swept or cleaned for 3 days. We had a room at the back which was very noisy with visitors leaving the restaurant - chatting for hours.

Hotel Don Rodrigues is a great hotel just outside Tavira. It’s a 15 min walk into town but you do need to cross and walk alongside a busy road. Bolt taxis into town were about €3.50. Rooms were modern and nicely decorated and the whole place was very clean. It was great having a pool and the breakfast was really good. All the staff were great and I would certainly stay again.

Je suis contente d'avoir réservé cet hotel. 1* je ne sais pas pourquoi, car super :propre, aimable, moderne. Il y a meme un parking supplémentaire sécurisé, 1 piscine, et nous avions aussi 1 terrasse. le petit déjeuner très très Biene. du choix et des produits frais. A recommander fortement. MERCI

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The 2 young men on reception were the only positive about this place. They were helpful, courteous and professional. The hotel is so noisy you can not get a nights sleep due to doors closing and other guests conversions and toilet visits. The breakfast was limited and the cooked meats were stone cold. Definitely would not stay again and although it's not too expensive there should be at least a certain level of standard. The restaurant located at the back of the building was always noisy and the flies were unbelievable. I found an aunt's nest in my room on my last night but I was so fed up I never bothered mentioning it. The cleaning was a very poor standard.

Lovely friendy hotel in a great location. Easy to find as on side of main road but only a 10 min walk down into Tavira. Room had balcony which was a bonus, view of busy road but quiet at night so no problems sleeping. Nice modern room & bathroom. Tv & coffee machine in room. Lots to choose from for breakfast including yummy cakes. Option to eat indoors or on covered veranda. All staff really friendly & helpful. Sadly the weather was rubbish while we were there so didn't avail of the pool facilities which looked good with seated areas to relax & enjoy the sun. Highly recommend, don't let the busy road put you off.

Great local hotel within easy walking distance from the train station in Tavira. Friendly welcoming staff on arrival and throughout our 4 night stay. Comfortable modern room with smart new bathroom and balcony overlooking well kept gardens. Decent sized outdoor swimming pool for a relaxing dip on an afternoon. Delicious breakfast with fresh fruit, nice selection of breads and choice of local speciality cakes & pastries. Brilliant value for money but a little bit on the outskirts of town so if you are happy to stroll 15 minute on an evening to the old town then this won't be an issue.

Although officially 1* i would rate itat least 2.5. Very welcoming reception staff with English. Small lounge are inside, large exterior lounge area. Rooms not large but an acceptable space. Nespresso machine and drinking water. Bathroom good size. Balcony area with chairs and table. All very clean. Superb breakfast. Cold meats and cheeses in a covered chilled area. Hot bacon and scrambled eggs. Cereals, fresh fruits, cakes, rolls and croissants etc. Very highly recommended. Staff friendly and helpful.

Staff were great, location for driving and free parking on site. Great breakfast and great food at the little restaurant next door. Short walk into town although be aware you must cross the busy road directly outside the hotel and there are no designated crossings. Our room was small but had a roof terrace and was spotless clean. Great shower too. Staff were fantastic. Great for our two night stay.

Les chambres de l'hôtel don Rodrigues sont trop petites pour un couple, les chambres ne font même pas 7 m². La salle de bains est minuscule. Ce sont des chambres pour une seule personne, pas d'espace, une seule table de nuit Lit collé aux murs obligés de se mettre sur le lit pour aller se coucher on ne peut pas faire le tour

We only stayed one night, The room was quiet despite being located so close to a main road. The room was comfortable, bed cozy, room had the dark black out and shower had good power. The breakfast was good, and parking easy. Town centre is very close but we were advised to drive rather than walk.

Breakfast was very pleasant woth good coffee section, some hot anc plenty of continental. The cake choices were impressive - particularly the nut ones. The walk to town was not difficult, involving a short stretch alongside the main road, over a low barrier and down into town. A few minutes and you can be at the ferry terminal for the sand bar beaches or in the streets to explore the churches and Camera Obscura.
For a road trip, this is a great option. The rooms are modern and fresh, parking ample and secure (room card entry), great pool area with loungers and nice landscaping. We had an excellent stay at hotel Don Rodrigues- staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and went out of their way to guide us toward the centre of Tavira which was a short 15 minute walk away. Crossing the busy main road was initally a bit daunting but was fine and worth Uzbek explore this beautiful town. The pool area was nice and the hotel is extremely clean. Breakfast was also delicious with a great selection. Would definitely return!

Staff were very nice and helpful. We booked it late at night for that same night after check out hours as we didn’t see even though it was clearly written. We showed up and check in was closed but we called the number and a very nice gentleman answered sleepy (it was at midnight) and was very helpful and helped us get the keys even though he didn’t have to. Breakfast was great with such a big variety. We had unexpected drains issue (clogged drain from the shower) room flooded a bit but staff were very helpful and solved the problem asap. Very pleasant stay and very pleasant staff! Need a car to go to the beach or downtown but very good and big store is close by (you can walk) hut definitely worth it! Recommend it for sure

Overall I had a really good stay. In particular, the staff at the front desk were amazing, friendly & helpful - Joao, Mario & Luis - the pool was lovely, my room was small but had all I needed. They forgot to replace my water the first weekend and we had to switch out my mini fridge, but any minor issues were always quickly resolved. The only downside of this hotel is the location. It is on the outskirts of Tavira on one of the main roads which was very noisy. We found the staff to be unfailingly kind and courteous, going out of their way to assist. The room was spacious with a balcony and everything one could reasonably expect at this price point, including coffee maker/ hot water dispenser ( pods from reception for a modest charge) and fridge.The air conditioning was efficient and adjustable. There was an extensive choice at breakfast, including hot and cold dishes, good cakes and pastries and a variety of milks such as soy and almond. The white coffee from the machine was unpleasant to our tastes, but was easily solved by microwaving milk of choice and using the separate espresso machine. There is a separate grill restaurant/ takeaway on site serving a good range of dishes at reasonable prices. It was well patronised by locals. The fumes from grilling were unwelcome at times depending on wind direction. The infinity pool was clean and scrupulously maintained. Towels were free of charge. Chairs and loungers available poolside. All in all I would thoroughly recommend this hotel as being of excellent value.

Lovely friendy hotel in a great location. Easy to find as on side of main road but only a 10 min walk down into Tavira. Room had balcony which was a bonus, view of busy road but quiet at night so no problems sleeping. Nice modern room & bathroom. Tv & coffee machine in room. Lots to choose from for breakfast including yummy cakes. Option to eat indoors or on covered veranda. All staff really friendly & helpful. Sadly the weather was rubbish while we were there so didn't avail of the pool facilities which looked good with seated areas to relax & enjoy the sun. Highly recommend, don't let the busy road put you off.

Hotel Don Rodrigues is a great hotel just outside Tavira. It’s a 15 min walk into town but you do need to cross and walk alongside a busy road. Bolt taxis into town were about €3.50. Rooms were modern and nicely decorated and the whole place was very clean. It was great having a pool and the breakfast was really good. All the staff were great and I would certainly stay again.

We only stayed one night, The room was quiet despite being located so close to a main road. The room was comfortable, bed cozy, room had the dark black out and shower had good power. The breakfast was good, and parking easy. Town centre is very close but we were advised to drive rather than walk.

We only stayed one night. Although close, it was almost impossible to walk to downtown due to the scaring traffic on the street that we had to cross. We had to take the car. It is not a bad hotel, people are nice and friendly (receptionist very nice) but the location is challenging.

Hôtel très bien décoré, belles dimensions de la chambre. Petit déjeuner bien varié. Le seul bémol est l'emplacement. C'est assez près pour se rendre en ville à pieds, par contre il faut être prudent car la route est achalandée et il n'y a aucun trottoirs ni traverse de piétons.

Un hotel agradable con un desayuno muy completo y con gran variedad. Nos llamo la atenciion que tenia reposteria casera o al menos parecia con tartas diferentes y bizcochos.. Muy cerca del pueblo para ir dando un paseo, aunque hay que ir unos pasos por la general pero hay un camino por detras de los quitamiedos. Personal muy agradable. La habitacion era un ppoco pequeña pero tenia terraza. Lo unico q no me gusto mucho fue el zumo del desayuno

Not sure why this hotel is only 1 star - it was better than some 3 star hotels. Mario on reception is very helpful and friendly. The hotel has everything you need for a comfortable stay including parking and a pool. Room was modern, clean and comfortable. Wifi good, shower pressure good. Breakfast ok but lots of homemade cakes which were yummy. Walk into Tavira starts on busy main road with no footpath, but its fine if you are careful. Would recommend this hotel.

A lovely pool area and great selection at breakfast. The hotel was clean and the room had everything we needed. It was a short walk into town although as other reviews have mentioned there is a short stint on a main road without a footpath. You can easily get an Uber/ Bolt if you don’t want to do this walk. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and we had a really lovely stay. We are really not sure how this hotel has a 1* rating as it was really pleasant and we would absolutely stay here again if we were to come back to Tavira.

Very clean room, staff are all very friendly and attentive. The breakfast is really nice and the pool area is just lovely. Close to the centre and surrounding areas.
