The hotel was very secure, parking was in a locked, gated compound. The hotel had secure entrance and secure hallways so unauthorized people couldn't get in. Charming character and the room was quite large with 3 sets of windows. Think of a European hotel room with twice as much room.

Grand classy olld Hotel. Will stay again. Inside the hotels is Flanagans, an excellent steakhouse . The atrached pub had live music on a thursday night. Lots of other places to eat in the area

Wonderful old character hotel in a great location. Tonnes of dining options not only in walking distance but attached to the hotel itself. Secure free parking a little tight but nice feature. Overall would definitely stay here again.

Enjoyed the old time charm ( fixtures, entrance, halls, room)-hallways smelled musty and smoky. Extremely limited parking, neighbors were noisy from 3-4:40 AM. Room was clean. Beds are old- mattresses sag in the middle.

Loaded .with character. Super staff and a historic landmark in central DT Saskatoon. My single room was well kept and clean. I enjoyed the very extensive beer selectons in the bar. Easy walk to sights, shopping and attractions.

The hotel is beautiful. Love the beautiful architecture and woodwork. The rooms are huge. Great tv channel options. The only thing I was disappointed in was the parking. There was not enough and I had to park on the street and haul my luggage in. Was not impressed.

The room seemed generally clean, but I found a used condom in the bathroom garbage that was clearly missed. Check-in was rough. The front desk attendant was not technically skilled and didn't realize that the debit/credit machine had lost its internet connection, leading to some lengthy angst as to why my credit card wasn't working. The continental breakfast was fine, but very very basic. The parking was weird -- the way the stalls are designed some of the cars block in others, and those owners are required to leave their keys at the front desk so that hotel staff can move the cars when necessary. That said, it's well restored older hotel, still showing its age in some respects, but comfortable enough. The location is awesome, right in the middle of the downtown action. And the adjoining pub, Winston's (with its own brewery) is a great spot. Lots of restaurants, breweries, cafes and shops nearby.

Overall we will definitely stay here again, front desk manager that checked us in was so friendly, helped us park our big truck in their back gated parking lot. Pub was attached to hotel which is something we like. Hotel has a vintage vibe which was so nice. Room was very clean and comfortable. Only negative thing would be the bed was too soft and sagged in the middle.

Beautiful old hotel. Rooms are tiny. Noise from the street was very excessive making it difficult to sleep. Continental breakfast was acceptable but should be made clear that it’s only fruit and pastries. Not a full breakfast. Staff were lovely - professional, spoke English, polite and accommodating

This is a grand old hotel built in 1908. The lobby is marble and dark wood. My room was small, but the queen size bed was very comfortable. The shower was large with a strong, steady flow of hot water. It was exactly what I was looking for.

a beautiful historic building located downtown, close to midtown plaza, many other shops, and a variety of restaurants. my corner room was impeccably clean, with a comfortable mattress i looked forward to sleeping on each night. the only downside was the advertised free breakfast. i was a bit disappointed that the only offerings were muffins and pastries

Enjoyed our stay and the staff were wonderful. The gentleman at checkout shared stories about the hotels history and showed us around a bit, that was so appreciated. A beautiful old hotel with lots of history. The pub next door was convenient where we enjoyed a delicious supper and hospitality. We will stay again!!

Hotel staff was amazing and very helpful. Although we had an experience with one of the bartenders who demanded a tip. Excuse me i would if I felt you deserved it. But he did pull us aside and was questioning us. Then refused to serve us after the fact. Felt a little childish and unprofessional.

The staff were SO amazing. This place feels so homey. The first room I was in, I noticed the carpet around the left side of the bed was super wet. Afraid it might be something bigger, I let the staff know. He immediately showed me two other rooms I could choose from that were beautiful. They were so accommodating. The rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. 10/10 would stay here again.

Staff was not attentive, saw us at the door but didn't come over to open it for us. Another staff member came to open door. Very noisy, heard very loud drilling sound close to 10 p.m.; in the middle of the night we were woken up by loud foot steps and stomping outside the door and from upstairs. Whenever we call the front desk it took a long time for them to answer the phone. We couldn't find coffee cups at breakfast place, no utensils available either.

My wife and I were celebrating our 10th Wedding Anniversary and I called ahead to see what they could do for us and the manager Chris Beavis arranged to have some craft beer waiting for us in the room and a very nice note on behalf of the hotel staff wishing us a happy anniversary. My wife and I really appreciated it. Thanks for a great stay!

Hotel itself has a cool vibe and although a little dated (stained carpets in room) the older architecture and decor is pretty cool. Unfortunately it is located in the heart of downtown which is infested with homeless people making the parking unsafe as well as just generally walking around enjoying the area

The gentleman at the front desk was the best. He showed us where free parking was located a few blocks away. The food at Winstons was the best bar food i have had in a long time. Keep up the great work !!!!

For Fathers Day I wanted to treat my husband to a historic hotel with a quality dinner. Not only was the hotel like taking a step back into history, it was comfortable, clean, spacious and beautiful! We ate at the Flanagan’s Steakhouse down stairs in the hotel. The dinning room was very Colonial, beautiful, historic, classy and the table side service was impeccable. Couldn’t have had a better experience if we tried.

Perfect location to go shopping. The hotel is has a lot of character, a bit old but well maintained. The room and bathroom are simple and comfortable. There is not a real breakfast… only yogurts, tiny muffins and bad coffee. However, the breakfast room is absolutely beautiful if you like older architecture. Great English pub!

The hotel's character takes you back in time. The staff is friendly and kind and treat my dog as if he was a guest of honour. Enjoy our time here each visit. The onsite resteraunt is classy and well managed. Great food.
