Many surfaces in the room were very sticky. Half of the security arm on the door was broken. A hotel employee with some other people started to come into my room around 9 pm. He apologized and said he had understood this room was vacant. They left and I never had any more issues with this. The office and breakfast area were vary small and not clean. Because of the broken security arm, which I had not noticed earlier, I moved furniture in front of the door overnight. There were homeless people all over the neighborhood encroaching on the hotel. IT WAS A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE.

If I could give zero stars I would!! Run as fast as you can from here. The rooms have not been mopped in years. They were extremely sticky. The 1st room we were in the toilet was broken and would not flush. The shower and toilet had brown stains all over. Food was clogging the bathroom sink drain. In the 2nd room the cold water did not work at all. The ac filters have never been changed. Cigrette burns in the comforters and ashes all over the room. Loud banging of doors all night long. The fire alarms went off at 6am. And a police arrested someone in the parking lot at around 8 am in front of our room. Our allergies starting acting up almost immediatly because of mold and horrible filtration. And homeless people apparently have a master key so he had to check both rooms before putting us in it to make sure nobody was in there. The owner tried to keep our cash deposit stating the blankets on the bed were missing so we had to show him we were never given the blanket to begin with. Next time i would rather sleep in my car at a rest area than to go back to this motel.

There was a dog in the room when we checked in. There were some transient people around the neighborhood, so checked on our car every couple of hours to ensure it was safe.

This is in a transient area. It is not very safe feeling for a woman traveling alone.

Waited over 30 minutes for someone to come work the front desk to check in. While checking in they closed the gate so i couldn't pull in with my trailer. I was going to have to park by outside by their dumpster which had homeless in it and around it using drugs. We didn't feel safe so gave the room key back and left. I am hoping for a full refund, but not holding my breath. Do not recommend. They need uniformed security.

When we arrived there were 3 homeless men fighting in the parking lot. I felt very unsafe there. The room was beyond disgusting! Floors haven’t been swept in a long time and the dirty towels from the previous guest were still in the room. Super disappointed. I hate to leave bad reviews but I would hate someone to have the same experience I did.

Firstly, the receptionist was lovely and helpful and the cleaner came to me at the end of the day and saud she fixed my A/C, which was nice. But this was a terrible experience overall. The room is in a sketchy part of town (near Tramway and Central), with many drug addicts and homeless people nearby. My initial room reeked of cigarettes and the sheets looked stained (I asked them to change them) and looked like blood on the comforter. The room was unclean and the towels looked dirty (I had those changed too) and stains and roaches in the bathroom. Had a weird person knocking at the door randomly in the night (did not answer it). I woke up in the night to find bedbugs in the sheets (see image of the bite marks on my legs) and immediately changed rooms and hot washed everything. I demanded a refund for the one night from the manager/owner (he agreed to it, but over 2 weeks later, I have yet to receive it despite numerous emails and calls. New room was also unclean and the A/C was broken and the sheets had cigarette burns (but no more bed bugs, at least). It looked like someone punched a hole through the mattress headboard and I saw hair, dirt, and what looked like bloodstains on the wall behind the bed. It is cheap, but not worth it to sleep in discomfort unless you have no other option. Pay a bit more and stay near Old Town or Nob Hill instead. This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.

We booked on hotels and expected a double non smoking room. When we arrived we were told that they did not have any double non smoking then they were able to find one. Then when we went to the room, the sheets were covered in dirt and looked like they have never been washed. So we asked to another room, which they gave use a smoking double room but was told it was not smoking. The ice tube and plate had cigarette burns. There was stains on the shower curtain. The floor was sticky from the smokers. This was a horrible experience and will never sleep at an Econo hotel ever again

There were several unsavory folks hanging around in the parking lot. The room had stains in the ceiling. Pieces of the wall were missing along the bottom trim. The window had a large diagonal crack. The room smelled of cigarettes. The tub was dirty.

The property is disgusting. The rooms are not clean. The bedsheets did look like they had been laundered. Do not stay here.

This room was absolutely disgusting in one of our rooms. There was either blood or poop splattered on the wall in our other room. Cockroaches were running up the wall. There were strange stains on the mattresses, and most of the furniture was broken or missing. Do not reserve a room at this hole of a hotel.

The rooms were really dirty, extremely dirty, and this odors in the room where terrible. Overall, the maintenance and the cleaning of the room are horrible. I will never use this hotel again.

Cigarette burns in the bedding, no pillow cases, and sticky floors.

Toilet didn't work. TV didn't work Air condition didn't work. They even didn't return my $50 deposit. That place was awful.

The room was nothing from what I expected or asked for the service was terrible the area was very bad a lot of Riff Raff hanging around was afraid to even leave stuff in my car couldn't hardly get my mobility scooter in the room the bathroom was real tiny and sucked the beds very very uncomfortable and the service was real s***** said they had a compromise breakfast but nothing was available and everything was broke asked for ice because the ice machine wasn't working well sorry manager just left so you know I recommend never stay there drop them from your list

Convenient stop, per friendly although no grassy area for your pet. Service was veey nice durinf check in. The room was not great ( and I was told it was better than a room I was initially being given). Very run down in need of updates, maintenance and paint! My toilet was broken and continued to run all night long.

We had to change rooms twice because of dirty sheets in one, smelled horribly of cigarettes and old liquor, and the the air conditioner didn't work.

Stay away. No key, refrigerator full of week old food, no soap, no wash cloth, no TP. Kept going back to the front desk. Not a good experience

Very nice guy and personable. Excellent customer service but the room was not kept good unfortunately. It needs improvement but I will recommend this place for excellent customer service.

The most unique part of the hotel was them trying to steal my cash deposit and say i never left a deposit at all, when you can't even rent a room without one

I still havent received my deposit

This guy said he was going to cancel my Expedia reservation. He just tries to scam and charge more. Never canceled my Expedia reservation. STAY AWAY.

More than Half of the accommodation list are none existence The employee quoted me on three different prices on the room( early check in fees not list, cites signs as notice, went to change price and sign with comfront about violations) Both employer and employee was willing grabt me the price I want, admission of wrong doing. My room was not represented properly nor was it clean, this was met with "well you didnt complain" Employee also lied to me serveral time during our exchange. All in attempt to avert guilt from his perceived wrong doing, also was willing to place a sign up citing the fee, as this is probably a common occurence. Misrepresentation of Room, Price, and accommodation. The only thing honest is this technically an econo lodge They quite literally list amenities, and charge for water. Most HOTELS charge 20 to 50 dollars for visitors, they charge 100 I was told the early check in was 50$ as a new sign was put up stating 40$ Econo lodge is own by choice hotels, standard is usually 44$ with a franchise fee of 8000$ (one time) Failure to meet choice hotel standards or price point Owners said he can charge whatever price he feels fit.

Sheets and bedspread were filthy. no topsheet. tried to get another room, was told motel was full. tried to ask for clean bedding, was told laundry was closed. Front desk staff literally would do nothing to fix the problem. Asked for re-fund. Was told the process could not be started until the manager came in the next day at 9 am. Front desk clerk would not give any straight answers other than sorry ma'am. I could not get him to clearly state the manager's name. I ended up just turning in the keys and paying and staying someplace else as I could not lay down on that bed and I would be on a plane to Seattle in the morning long before 9 am. Very bad experience and probably will not get a refund.

We stayed about 20 minutes. It was in a horrible area, loads of homeless, run down room smelled like cigarettes when we asked for non smoking with burn holes all over the bedspread. This property should be condemned and the area nuked.

We did NOT stay. It was totally Unacceptable. Dirty. Sheers stained. Sink not functional. Unpleasant odors. Area did not feel safe. Pictures were not current. We asked for a full refund (we left after 25 min) but were still charged over $70? Wr are disputing. Expedia has not provided assistance. We are disputing this charge. Expedia should remove this listing. Shame on them!

The clientele ...or people hang over the railings... was sketchy. Didn't give a guest a sense of security. The room was not real clean. Past guest left food in the refrigerator. I splashed water on the floor and when I wiped it up, the towel was black. Mirrors were spotty. Apparently, they have adapted to the trend of no top sheet on the bed, and the blanket was scratchy. To be fair, there is a new owner (he has a lot to do if his intention is to improve the place).

Horrible. Dirty sheets and room. Breakfast no coffee, juice (machine broke) warm milk waffles and cereal,and toast only. No butter or anything for toast. When coffee ran out someone told attendant and he continued to play on computer. Guests didn’t even have coffee available. I understand eco lodge is a sister hotel for best western. I always thought they were a good standard hotel. Never will use either of them again. Recommend do not waist your money
