Stayed in 1 Bed apartment. Microwave, hot plate toaster and fridge. Courtyard with access to pool etc. Very clean. Comfy bed. Only issues- no power points near the bed to recharge phone or iPad - pool is cold! So much sunshine - solar heating would be a great addition. Will stay again

The internal courtyard with pool is nice and its great have a door to open and get fresh air without keeping the front door open

The property was clean, quiet and parking was great , right outside the room. The bed was comfortable and the tv screen was a good size to watch the football.

We had a very comfortable stay here for 2 nights. My main concern was how slippery the tiles are around the swimming pool area. My granddaughter kept slipping on them and it was worrying as she is a toddler so even when we were holding her hand or carrying her it was so slippery and I felt unsafe. Something to consider. The rooms were clean. A bit of mold in the shower but still clean enough.

The service on check in was very friendly and welcoming. The whole property has a very nice, relaxed feel to it. The gardens and outdoor areas were very well maintained and the set up of the rooms all surrounding the pool and BBQ area were very nice. The room was spacious, modern and clean with a very comfortable bed. This hotel would be great for families with small children or group holidays.

The property was modern very clean and well appointed. A quiet location and the grounds are impeccably kept. Lovely pool area with plenty of seating to enjoy a BBQ.

An excellent setup with a small courtyard attached to the unit overlooking the pool area.

Good position nice outlay of the premises. But no flyscreens on the doors which would make it nicer if have a breeze flow through on humid days instead of using the air conditioner. Entry into the premises is rather confusing.

For the price it is very good. Nice central courtyard and verandah with tables and chairs.

Bathroom clearly had not been cleaned properly - pubic hair and long hair all over the floor. Shower drain was also blocked - in order to shower, I had to turn the water off every 30 seconds to allow the water to drain. A very unpleasant experience - I won’t be staying there again.

I found the Southgate Motor Inn, very clean with my one-bedroom apartment cleaned daily while I was out. The only issues I had was that the Wi-fi kept cutting out and was very slow which didn't help with my workload, and the noise from the neighbouring apartments.

I really enjoyed staying here, the bed was comfortable and the room was quite clean. The shower didn’t drain very well but the pressure was good. I will definitely stay here again.

Bed was nice and comfortable. The room was spacious. The bathroom room was spacious but the shower had poor water pressure.

A lovely modern unit but unfortunately it wasn’t very soundproof, when we arrived there was a group of people next door and it sounded like they were in our room. Luckily they didn’t go long into the evening. Very comfortable bed and all that we needed for 1 night

Overall was great, however they should invest in better sofa beds, the mattress was terrible.

Didn't sleep all night. Walks were paper thin and obviously the beds back on to each other. Next door were up all night taking, heard every word, couldn't even drown it out with headphones. Worst night ever.

The internet connection was very poor, the rooms have smart TV but you can't use them on the internet because the internet is not good enough to stream a program without constant dropping of the stream. Water pressure in the shower was very poor, if another shower was running it would reduce to a dribble. Apart from those two things I was very happy with the motel.

The room was clean, bed was comfortable Cannot rate the pool, as we did not use it Unfortunately, we could hear too much traffic noise through the night and early morning..

Very nice stay for a good price. Checked in very late on a Sunday night, asked for a late check out due to the ate check in , was rejected :( Even a 1 hour later check out would have been appreciated. Other than that, awesome stay, good location, central and walkable to SAMS. Lots of food options nearby.

Was there for work purpose working 2 nights. I requested for an hour more as late check out but management refused. They stated knocking on my door even before the usual check out time. Paid for 3 nights & received this kind of attitude. Quite a poor attitude of the management.

Receptionist was rather unfriendly. I asked for late check out but they had the cleaners come at 10am sharp. I have tumours & had a bad night/morning so I re booked. It was all too much before coffee! When I called (to let her know that I’d re booked)I was questioned regarding who my guests would be, will they be stay overnight & if they were local! I had one guest over during my stay (the first night) & it was how she spoke to me that was especially rude. I was booked for 2 people with a maximum of 4. Just after I responded “I prefer my private life to be private thank you” (I’d already extended my accommodation) the cleaners barged in, apologised & said they thought I’d checked out. Very apologetic at least but couldn’t help but wonder, after the lady at reception interrogated me, if it was set up. If you wish to book a room for private rendezvous with your lover this is the opposite of private! There were two cameras above my room entry with no signage advising or surveillance. I’m a private person & this was/is very embarrassing! No late checkout offered second morning despite cleaners not being ready to jump in at 10am sharp again! I felt unrelaxed because the first morning I was reminded to be out on time.

A beautiful garden setting, and an immaculate room. The staff in reception were extremely pleasant and helpful.

Cleaning staff insisted on waking me every morning knocking like cops to see if I wanted clean towels or whatever. Even if you try to shh and ignore-- Good Luck to ya! They will bang on your door louder while yelling to get your response, anywhere between 8:30-10@m

The receptionist was lovely, very well spoken. It was a fuss free check in and the room was clean and tidy, tea and coffee facilities were great, bathroom spotless.. Thankyou for having me and i will definitely be back

I travel a lot for work and have stayed at Southgate over 20 times in the last 18 months. Staff are friendly and the rooms are always clean. Parking is super convenient and Shepparton lake is close enough for a morning or afternoon stroll. Great value for money. Would recommend.

Great location. Shopping centre within walki g distance and main shopping centre also within an easy walk. Very spacious rooms with easy access to the pool. Mcdonalds 2 doors down. Staff very friendly, office staff very easy to deal with and knowledgeable to the area.

This my third stay here. It’s on the main road into town so you do hear some road noise but it’s not too bad. Spotless inside, great shower and comfy bed. No hair dryer or body wash but soap, face washer and shower cap are provided. Added bonus is a toaster but no plates or cutlery but reception will give you a plate and knife. Staff were great.

Great position. Easy access to lake and city centre. Self contain units were comfortable and the courtyard enabled us to keep our bikes secure.

Great walking tracks, museums and city centre very close. Great size room, friendly staff
