Great location , plenty of parking and literally straight out of front door on to beach , with a nice 15 to 20 minute stroll down the beach to the centre of skegness . Staff were great and very polite and even though didnt eat at the hotel the food on offer looked very good at very reasonable prices , and there was a very nice bar area. Our room had a view out across the sea and was clean , cosy and the beds very comfortable Would definitely recommend and would stay there again 100%

Good situation overlooking the sea. Staff friendly and helpful. Food good though breakfast coffee too weak. Only problem is lack of lifts. I have arthritis and walk with a stick and getting up several flights of stairs with a heavy case was not easy.

Great value for money, less than 2 minutes walk from the beach, friendly helpful staff, nice clean sea view room with comfy bed. Help yourself to cooked breakfast all very nice. Bar area very smart with great views over the golf course. Good quality bar food, reasonable prices & large potions.

Booked for a saturday night. Planned to arrive in the morning and park in the large car park. Unfortunately this is also a golf club so the car park was full so could not. Had we arrived around check in time 1500hrs, there would have been plenty of parking slots. Even non-EV cars parked in the EV charging bays so you can't bank on charging your car. Was not allowed to early check in even though the hotel was not busy. Room had a sea view. However this means that you also over look the car park. Also guests at an evening function walk, and talk, under your room window. There is a decent bar with a good bar food menu. Also a good quality restaurant. I shall be using this hotel again as it was a good price and room was very good.

Arrived and on check in was asked to pay when i explained i had already paid, this was ignored and i had to tell her 3 times i had paid. Eventually given my key cards which were almost chucked at us we went upstairs to our room. Room was smallish and dated. Cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. Otherwise relatively clean. Bed was comfortable and fresh. Our room faced a wall and were constantly woken up by aircon units or compressors. So no cheeky lie in for us. On checkout we weren't even asked if we enjoyed our stay. Overall, not a terrible stay but not again thank you.

My single room was comfortable, and the evening meal was good. However, the different restaurant and bar meal breakfast menus and opening hours was confusing (with some contradictory printed information supplied), and this was not helped by the rather condescending and patronising attitude of the lady receptionist who checked me in. The bathroom toilet brush and holder was filthy on arrival, with one corner of the room clearly not having been vacuumed, which I mentioned when I checked out.

Stayed at the hotel when visiting friends and was very convenient for us,we found the staff very friendly and helpful but the property is in need of a good clean and update. We had lunch on arrival and although the food was good non of the tables were clean,it appeared that tables were cleared when people left not not cleaned and crumbs and food were on the tables and seats. When going to our room the stairs carpet looked like it hadn’t had a good clean for a long time. Our room was ok but the bath panel was peeling paint and warped with water damage,the room need black out blinds as the room was very light as soon as the sun rises.

it was very difficult to enter the hotel via the main entrance steps. Two flights of steps into our room proved difficult when carrying suitcases. The room wasn't very clean: false eyelashes found on the floor along with chocolate on the chair. This was reported to the reception. Rooms ought to be soundproofed as we spent most of the nights listening to the occupant of next door snoring !! Overall not a very good experience.

Less than a minute between courses. Breakfast was mediocre, not a lot of selection in either hot or cold food, but what was there was really nice (thickest bacon i've ever eaten). Hotel bar very sociable with all the golfers. Overall - great for a one night stay.

We booked this hotel stay months in advance and was not happy with the size of the room. We booked a double room and we must of had the smallest room in the hotel. The bed was a large single and myself and wife had to top and tail. My bedroom at home was bigger than the room. They did offer us an upgrade but not until the next day, 12pm and had to be out our room at 10.30am ( I was in the bridal party) wedding at 2pm ….. upgrade cost was £60 for the remaining 2 nights, as you can imagine we was cheesed off and knew the morning of the wedding was going to be a rush. Luckily the lovely lady on reception Saturday morning got us in the new room at 10.30am after such a terrible nights sleep with worrying where we was going to hang around for an hour and half in the morning until 12. * upgraded room was nice * lady on reception on arrival was awful. * upgrade cost £60 disgusting. * lady Saturday morning on reception lovely. * food all weekend was brilliant. * wedding was brilliant. * would we stay again….. NO * would we eat in the restaurant again 100% YES

We had a great time on our lastest stay at the North Shore Hotel. The sea/golf course view room was very comfortable, and much larger than expected. Service in the bar and restaurant was superb and the food was excellent. We'll be looking to stay here again for our next Skegness visit.

The location was excellent for what we were after but were disappointed with the attitude of the receptionist when we arrived,we asked if our room was ready as we were early and the blunt reply was NO check in is 3pm and she never even asked our name to check? The room needed updating but had a great view of the sea and beach bath the shower was terrible. The breakfast was first class and the lady that served us was the person at reception the previous day and was really nice so we don’t really understand the bluntness the previous day.

Sadly this hotel is now not up to standards of modern hotels - for a business or non golfing leisure visitor user like me it is dated and need of a complete overhaul. There are now good quality budget hotels moving in to the area offering much better standards of hospitality and beds at far less (I didn’t check before booking in Expedia) The breakfast service was indifferent with clearly staff overstretched verging on rude but put that down to lack of training.

We had a great time on our lastest stay at the North Shore Hotel. The sea/golf course view room was very comfortable, and much larger than expected. Service in the bar and restaurant was superb and the food was excellent. We'll be looking to stay here again for our next Skegness visit.

The staff were very genuine and friendly, keen to ask how you were and if you needed anything. The hot drink on arrival was very welcome after a journey in the rain. The hotel felt dated in places but you could see decoration had taken place more recently. The room was ok, not great sound proofing though with very noisy neighbours. Main issue was the huge event on at the hotel which hadn’t been communicated beforehand. Arriving at 5.45 we were told food wasn’t being served after 6.30 which was a surprise given the email we had previously outlined meal times. The party also finished late with loud music being played way past 11pm and also people leaving late with no consideration for other guests. The courteuous thing to do would have been to communicate this ahead of time to give guests the chance to make their own decision as to whether to stay (and put up with the compromise) or choose to stay elsewhere. Having played golf at the venue before and enjoyed it, I had expected more from the hotel as the simple things (communication!!) make the world of difference.

Recently stopped with my partner & 1 year old daughter for 3 nights, not a good start all steps to get in then 3 lots of stairs no lift & receptionist was not bothered just said its mainly for golfers & will keep you fit! Then got in the room to find out there was no iron,iron board,hairdryer or TV remote in our room as specified so managed to get everything in the end but the remote took a 4th attempt & again the receptionist attitude stunk! Wasn't our fault the was not provided with facilities that we have paid for in our family room & surely not having lifts would of been put on a ground floor so we didn't have to struggle. The other staff were lovely. Great location,room & food.

Great location , plenty of parking and literally straight out of front door on to beach , with a nice 15 to 20 minute stroll down the beach to the centre of skegness . Staff were great and very polite and even though didnt eat at the hotel the food on offer looked very good at very reasonable prices , and there was a very nice bar area. Our room had a view out across the sea and was clean , cosy and the beds very comfortable Would definitely recommend and would stay there again 100%

Car parking was good as it was part of the cost of the stay as it was quite a walk to the town centre, food was good, comfy bed, quiet, nice price, floor on reception was a bit slippery in heels. Bar was open till midnight on Sunday added bonus and breakfast was good. I would give 9/10 no one gets a 10 and I would pay £65 for it

Nice hotel, room was a little dated and a bit noisy. But was very happy with the staff, very nice and friendly. Really good location, right next to the beach and not too far from the town. Overall I’d be happy to stay there again.

The cooked breakfast was excellent lovely bacon and sausage and you can choose how you like your egg cooked and lovely and clean comfortable beds great value for the money would definitely stay again

Great value for money, less than 2 minutes walk from the beach, friendly helpful staff, nice clean sea view room with comfy bed. Help yourself to cooked breakfast all very nice. Bar area very smart with great views over the golf course. Good quality bar food, reasonable prices & large potions.

Paper thin walls between rooms, not great if you're a light sleeper. Spotlessly clean though Had DBB deal which was great value, but it was so rushed in the restaurant. Less than a minute between courses. Breakfast was mediocre, not a lot of selection in either hot or cold food, but what was there was really nice (thickest bacon i've ever eaten). Hotel bar very sociable with all the golfers. Overall - great for a one night stay.

Stayed while playing golf. Decent hotel clean, but dated and probably could do with a refurb. Breakfast was a little chaotic dealing with customers, but the food was lovely.

Nice location but very golf orientated. Despite being next to beach there were no chairs to use. Reception and breakfast staff were clearly not well trained in customer service, whilst the bar staff were excellent. Food was nice but massive portions. Would not stay again.

Hotel is in need of a complete make over, it is very neglected. Fantastic location but very poor fittings and decor. I would not stay here again.
