We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Brambles. The staff were attentive and we loved the cafe. The street parking was very easy. We knew beforehand there would be no lift, and it was really not an issue for us. We would definitely stay again.

Very friendly and helpful. Super comfy room. The challenge was getting to it up an exceedingly steep spiral staircase. Hadn't realized we'd be on the second floor and me with a recently replaced hip. Parking wasn't free but metered within business hours. Happily we weren't given a ticket. Super location.

The staff and coffee shop were wonderful. Accommodations were adequate. No elevators but young man carried our luggage up the stairs for us. Parking was self-park down the street.

Very comfortable stay at Brambles. Quirky hotel split across the main street with rooms and the restaurant on one side and more rooms on the other. We were only in for one night but the hotel had everything we needed.

The staff in the restaurant was amazing and this room was absolutely lovely. Be prepared to take your suitcase upstairs because there is no lift but the stairs aren’t steep like in other areas of the hotel. The tub was absolutely wonderful and perfect for soaking. The sky light style windows have shades but I slept with them open because you got a view of the city and the drizzle. Recommend room 16!!!

We had a lovely room with a large bathtub. The bed was very comfortable. The town lost power but we still had hot water which was awesome as it allowed us to have hot showers in the morning. They also made arrangements for a complimentary hot breakfast our second morning when the power was back on. Holly was excellent and enabled us to check in even without the power. She was there to assist us right away. Heather was our server and was wonderful as well when we had breakfast. Breakfast was delicious. The only note that I would make is that the stairs to the room were narrow but more then manageable as long as you don’t have over large luggage.

Only caveat was the rather winding staircase to the room -no problem for us 20 years ago but in our 80s a bit scary - but will s till use the accommodation again very willingly!

My room, #7, was most tastefully decorated with beautiful,vintage furnishings. Very clean and comfortable. I slept SO well. Had a Caramel Log with a cuppa tea upon arrival,it was a really nice wee touch for an ex-pat. The bathroom was modern and the claw bath was heavenly. Check in at the Cafe was easy,as was check out. Karen was so helpful and lovely, as was Cindy in housekeeping and all the staff at the Brambles Cafe. I would highly recommend Brambles Hotel and would definitely stay there again. Many thanks to all and bravo to the owners, Victoria and Stuart !! Sincerely, Gerri😉😊

One of the best places I have ever stayed! Small hotel run by the owners right in Inveraray with a great cafe. We were in the Attic Apartment and it was huge, clean and comfortable. The owner Stuart was kind, friendly and walked us up to our room upon arrival and greeted us at breakfast the next morning. The breakfast in the cafe was delicious and a special shout out to Heather our server, perhaps one of the most friendly and welcoming people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Please book at Brambles if you want exceptional service, value and quality!

This hotel (and the entire town) are very old! The architects of Inverary Castle designed the village at the same time, around 1765, so the village is showing its age. But, I felt Brambles has done a nice job of keeping the premises very nice, considering the buildings age.

A perfect launching point for visiting all of Northwest Scotland. The staff was amazing and helpful. The rooms were spacious, well-appointed, and very clean. Large modern bathroom as well as all the little touches that made the stay very personal and far exceeded my expectations, especially for the cost! The town of Inverary is also amazing. Plenty of dining options that are walkable from the hotel. All were EXCELLENT. The only item I would mention to keep in mind is to ask for a room away from the road if you are a light sleeper as you can hear the cars passing. They thoughtfully offer ear plugs and night masks as well, so I slept very well in their comfy beds.

Very nice en suite room. Fairly new build. Staying for couple of nights bed and breakfast. Room very nice. Some dusting had been missed on the bedside lamps. Bathroom floor looked a bit grubby. Laminate on worktop where sink is had split, possibly due to water ingress and could pose a hazard for slicing open finger/hand. Shower pressure could be better. Heater was not on when we arrived. I phoned reception and they came over 10 minutes later and showed us how to set temperature. She did apologise saying housekeeping should have set that already. Breakfast was very nice and good choice

Four of us (all adults) spent two nights in Inverary and had reserved three rooms at the hotel months in advance. From the very first interaction with the staff, we were in love. Our rooms were large and comfortable, with lots of natural light and a beautiful view of the main street. One of our rooms was across the street, which gave us the chance to take fun photos of us waving and yelling to each other! The bathroom in my room was surprisingly big and while we only used the clawfoot tub to do some laundry, it was a nice treat! The cafe was bustling both mornings we were there and served delicious breakfast foods. I thoroughly enjoyed my coffee and quite time in the garden! We heard some locals enjoying themselves out in the street in the first night, but it was a Friday, after all ... we still slept well!

This was repeat business. Already stayed in that room years before. Very spacious and quiet. Loved the complimentary Wafer biscuits! Continental Breakfast, well catered for, in the Bar/Bakery is a clever culinary trap! Once the Scones/Shortbread/Cakes get out of the kitchen, spreading amzing smells, one feels compelled to purchase those delicacies for later in your trip. Staff super friendly. Ever so lucky to find a space in main street to park the car. Very practical place to stop whether you are going North or catching a ferry towards Islay or driving to the Mull of Kintyre. Recommends

We were very disappointed with our stay because the walls were paper thin and my husband had to sleep on the bathroom floor as there was a loud snorer right on the other side of the wall (obviously the headboard was there and the bed in our room was next to it too). Not impressed.

The staff, Hope in particular, were wonderful to us.The town was without power in the aftermath of hurricane Amy but she got us checked in and settled in spite of conditions outside. Way above and beyond.

The only note that I would make is that the stairs to the room were narrow but more then manageable as long as you don’t have over large luggage.

The location was perfect, it is settled among quaint shops and a very lovely waterfront. There are a lot of great dining options and lots of little shops, it is also a stones throw to Inverary Castle. In all it was one of our favorite stays.

A perfect launching point for visiting all of Northwest Scotland. The staff was amazing and helpful. The rooms were spacious, well-appointed, and very clean. Large modern bathroom as well as all the little touches that made the stay very personal and far exceeded my expectations, especially for the cost! The town of Inverary is also amazing. Plenty of dining options that are walkable from the hotel. All were EXCELLENT. The only item I would mention to keep in mind is to ask for a room away from the road if you are a light sleeper as you can hear the cars passing. They thoughtfully offer ear plugs and night masks as well, so I slept very well in their comfy beds.

Four of us (all adults) spent two nights in Inverary and had reserved three rooms at the hotel months in advance. From the very first interaction with the staff, we were in love. Our rooms were large and comfortable, with lots of natural light and a beautiful view of the main street. One of our rooms was across the street, which gave us the chance to take fun photos of us waving and yelling to each other! The bathroom in my room was surprisingly big and while we only used the clawfoot tub to do some laundry, it was a nice treat! The cafe was bustling both mornings we were there and served delicious breakfast foods. I thoroughly enjoyed my coffee and quite time in the garden! We heard some locals enjoying themselves out in the street in the first night, but it was a Friday, after all ... we still slept well!

Was charged £6 for a small portion of scrambled egg for breakfast. Only supplied a very simple buffet breakfast as part of the room rate of over £200 per night. Will not be back in this area as all hotels certainly know how to charge for very average accommodation

Continental Breakfast, well catered for, in the Bar/Bakery is a clever culinary trap! Once the Scones/Shortbread/Cakes get out of the kitchen, spreading amzing smells, one feels compelled to purchase those delicacies for later in your trip. Staff super friendly. Ever so lucky to find a space in main street to park the car. Very practical place to stop whether you are going North or catching a ferry towards Islay or driving to the Mull of Kintyre. Recommends

Spacious clean room with everything we needed. No onsite parking so we had to park in a nearby pay and display park. Breakfast wasn't included in our stay but we decided to have breakfast at Brambles before we left on our journey home. The Brambles was the favorite hotel for our group of 6 for our entire 15 day stay in Scotland. It’s everything you are looking for in an Inn. It’s cute, clean and comfortable. The staff is warm, friendly and helpful. Inveraray is a beautiful friendly town right on the water. Our breakfast at the Brambles restaurant was very good. We would also recommend dinner at The George Hotel right down the street followed by a stroll through the beautiful town. We also enjoyed the shops the next morning. Our only regret is not staying longer!
