Great stay, really enjoyed the rooftop bar!

We didn’t get breakfast but the rooftop bar was awesome

Clean and nice room! Comfy bed and pillows and great shower! The parking situation is awful. $75 per night for valet and no other option on site. We temporarily parked the car in front to bring our luggage up and immediately when we walked into the room, front desk called and asked if we were moving our car or wanted to valet. Luckily, I was able to find a parking garage about a block away from the hotel for half the price.

The room was nice. Parking was horrible. The valet told us they were full and made us park in a public lot a few blocks away. It took forever to get to the garage because of traffic. We had to carry our luggage all the way from the garage and when we finally got back to the hotel, the valet was accepting new people for parking. The check in line went out the door and many guest rooms weren’t available for check in (even though the check in time was hours prior to then). Room was small, but nice and acceptable for our 1-night stay.

Nice hotel. They do tack on a $30 nightly fee you should be aware of. Nice rooftop bar/restaurant.

Rooftop bar with great food ! Cool rooms with 2 different shower heads and power window shade. VERY convenient location. We walked back here from Giants stadium at 10pm.

Just overall the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel, had my reservation for 8 months get there 2 hours past check in (5pm) no room available no parking available. I’m sorry, what did I prepay for?? All I got comped was 3 free drink tickets, and I don’t even drink.

The Shelby Rooftop with a view of city was incredible, and the food was excellent.

We got early to the hotel since we had an early flight and Vahid helped us and let us check in early. Room was beautiful, clean, big, we got the towels changed every day without having to ask, the roof top restaurant was really nice too. Close to SFMOMA and other places at walking distance. Im very satisfied with the property.

Very nice - clean. I really liked that the shower was clean no mildew.

Clean room, friendly staff, good area

Stayed for 1 night in a room with a King bed and the overall room was clean, but my sheets had stains on it and the bathroom tiles were not clean. I appreciated the amenities of free water and ice. There was an empty glass bottle that was provided and a refillable water station next to the ice.

Positive: Walking distance to Oracle Park for a concert. Negatives: We arrived at 2:45 and they made us wait 15 mins to check in at 3. That has never happened. I asked to have valet retrieve glasses and charger I had left in my car. Almost an hour later they produced glasses with no charger. Desk attendant said they'll bring the charger in just another 5 mins. It took another 20 mins for them to bring the charger. There was dust on lower rim on the nightstand and crumbs behind door when we arrived. The light on the smart mirror kept turning itself on and would make an irritating noise. (Room 201) At check out, I texted as instructed to get car and checked out. My car was there but no key and no valet. We waited 5-10 mins and then checked inside, there was no one at desk. When she finally came back to the desk I asked if she had my key, she did. We've stayed in a dozen hotels in SF over the years. This one was not worth the price paid. Next time we'll go to the Hyatt or Clancy or literally anywhere else.

The room is clean and nice

This was my first time staying here and it was amazing! Friendly staff, clean room, amazing food and coffee bar! This will be my new go to whenever I’m come to SF!

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Location was convenient for my needs. I loved all the extras in the room.

This is a great hotel. The rooms are super cute! While small space-wise, they have lots of nice touches that make the rooms very usable. There is a lot of closet space with a built-in rack for your suitcase, a slide out rack for your shoes, a nice vanity/make-up/jewelry area with a stool, plus two robes. They even have a Yoga mat in the room, which I took advantage of. There is a little bar area with a retro-style mini-fridge, coffee maker, tea bags, mugs, and glasses. Plus a table with a little bench for eating. The bed was super comfy. My room faced 4th St., so there was some street noise here and there, but I had no trouble sleeping.

The room was small but very comfortable and well utilized. Would definitely recommend for a couple, or single however not a family.

I saw a mouse in the lounge. They don’t have black out curtains. If you want to sleep in, it’s not the best place.

I do not recommend staying here. The rooms are tiny tiny. The restaurant service was terrible. They mixed up my reservation and canceled my room cards. Parking with them is $75 usd a night. I’m fine paying high rates for luxury but this place isn’t it. Oh. Not to mention to can’t even call down o the front desk from your room. The shower was going from hot to cold. Like burning hot. The room toilet has no privacy from the rest of the room. I could go on. But I’m sure you get the picture.

The property exceeded my expectation. Nice decor, spacious rooms, comfy bed.

I don't know if it was hotel construction or city construction, but at 830am all kinds of noise took over my room. If not for that I'd have no complaints, but y'know, some of us like to sleep in a little while on vacation.

Cute but room was hot.

This place has good views and nice clean rooms but I’m so disappointed that the tvs are super outdated. There was a few cable channels on them and that’s it. Big letdown for me because I wanted to watch Netflix or YouTube. Even the cheapest motels have smart tvs now. For the price of the place I’d expect they’d have smart TVs as a standard.

Nice place but the rooms are small, no where to sit but the bed, and the view we had was poor. The hotel staff was very nice and the location was good as it was walking distance to the Port.

The check in process was absolutely terrible. I checked in around 5 and there were no rooms available, was told to come back in 15 minutes. Had to go find parking a couple blocks away. Came back after about 30 minutes and the check in line was incredibly long, found someone to talk to and they still had no rooms available. They finally found one after another 15 minutes. I understand it was busy, but I prepaid for this room months ago and to show up and not have a room ready was inconvenient. Other than that the stay was nice. The room was comfortable.

The staff was super helpful and friendly. Our room was immaculate and gorgeous. The location was situated exactly in the middle of where we wanted to be and honestly, it just felt good to come back to the room whenever we needed to rest or charge our devices. 10/10 would stay here again.

It was an interesting stay at Canopy by Hilton, San Francisco Soma. We booked in March 2024 and paid in full for stay in May 2024. Upon arrival at 11pm after 17 hours of flying, we were told there was no room available at the facility that night to accommodate us as they were overbooked and our room was given away. We were told that they have rebooked us for the night at another hotel down the street. Tired and confused, we had to call an Uber to take us there, it was midnight by then. Upon arrival that hotel had no idea we were coming and had to call Hilton to find out what was happening (mind you, they told us that they had arranged everything). This hotel was also an inferior hotel to what we had paid for. We finally checked back the following day and was able to secure a room. I was unhappy with the way we were treated and up to that point we were being given the run around when we requested a refund for the night we paid for and was relocated without prior notice and for the uber. I wrote an email to the hotel (email address was provided by the front desk staff) on May 17 and to this day, our email has not been acknowledged or answered by the hotel. Thankfully I booked through Expedia and they have sorted out my refund. I still have not been reimbursed for transportation for the night we were re-located. I think their customer service is poor, they do not care about their guests and I would never stay there if I choose to visit San Francisco again.

Fantastic hotel. Very comfy and cute. Loved the coffee station and layout of the room. The staff is accommodating, friendly and attentive. One of the best experiences I’ve had in a long while!

I left my AirPods there and was given the runaround!!! I was told by 3 staff members that housekeeping had found them. When I tried to pick them up, I was given a whole different story! Someone that works at this hotel stole them!! They made so many excuses! I would never stay at a hotel that let a staff member could steal from security where they were supposedly kept safely. So disappointing.

From arrival to final departure, our stay was incredible! Everything was great, but the real credit goes to the entire staff (lobby, restaurant, and housekeeping). They were kind, welcoming, and made our stay absolutely perfect in every way! Cannot recommend this hotel enough!!!

Top notch service

Very close to the conference center I needed to go to for about a week. Convenient coffee shop right downstairs and a target within walking distance!

Red doors! Not a vanilla hotel. Parking $$$. Across from Yerba Buena Gardens. Rooftop restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Nicely designed rooms with up to date technology.

Really nice hotel just around the corner from the convention center making it easy to come back to my room during lunch. The staff were very friendly and the room was terrific!

The hotel is great especially if you need to be at Moscone Center.

Great location within walking distance of everything

It’s a good hotel in San Francisco. I liked my room. The shower is large and separated from the toilet room. A/C worked nicely. Auto down curtain closed off outside light very well. At 6th floor it is quiet and easy to sleep in till after my normal hour. The area is loaded with unhoused people and drug addicts. They keep away from this hotel. I saw them around other areas but this hotel was a curiously clear spot. Nice! Security at the hotel prevents anyone that is not a paying renter from getting to any floor except the canopy bar. I had no problems nor heard of any on my stay. The outer walkway is power washed each morning by 7 am. No sign of homeless people by sunrise. It is kind of a jewel in the area. I will stay again. I strongly recommend this hotel to any visitor. You get what you pay for and this was quite nice.

A Saturday night stay. Great location that is close enough to walk to Union Square, The Dragon Gate, or Oracle Park, but feels like you’re far enough away from the “hustle and bustle” of it all. Easy check-in. Valet parking was a little costly, but it’s SF in 2025, so that’s probably par-for-the-course. Modern and clean hotel. Check-in was swift. The king bedroom set-up was a little different with the toilet and shower in separate spaces with the sink between them in the entry hallway, but this appears to be an older building that the hotel remodeled, so they undoubtedly made the best use of space they could with existing plumbing easements. Shout-out to Marc, the bartender at the rooftop bar, super-nice guy shaking-up great drinks like a mezcal Negroni and the deviled eggs were a good bar-bite. Overall, a great hotel for the price in SF. Would stay here again, especially with that killer rooftop bar view.

I happened upon this hotel when looking for a place near Oracle Park. What a find! Wonderful staff, terrific rooms and a great bar, cafe, and rooftop restaurant. Charming and beautifully appointed. Jeff, they manager, is first-rate and Hailey, in the cafe, will take care of you barista needs. It will be my “go-to” place when I am in San Francisco.

The hotel and property were great. My only negative was the hotel’s restaurant had a very small menu selection and extremely expensive drinks. Overall I would stay here again.

We had a great time at this hotel. Our room was wonderful and we enjoyed the attached coffee shop as well as the rooftop bar. Everyone at the front desk was pleasant and anytime we asked for something (such as extra towels) it was received within minutes. We would absolutely stay next time we visit!

Beautiful property, nicely renovated. Very practical bedroom, separate toilet and shower areas, huge for SF standards. Great restaurant on the top, charming lounge and breakfast area at the bottom. 2 minutes from SFMOMA and close to everything in the downtown.
