This inn is in a lovely restored 200 year old building. There are five rooms and we stayed in three. The beds are comfortable. The king suite downstairs is beautiful. Upstairs feels more private as the windows aren’t on the walkway. The simple continental breakfast is nice and it’s great to be able to get coffee at 7. The dining and living room communal spaces are very pretty. The homemade ice cream served at the cafe is fabulous and not to be missed. There is highway noise if you are outside. What could have been improved is communication with the owner if booking with a third party, and the (locked) AC was on pretty high daily, actually making us cold.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming inn, which is set in a beautifully restored historic home with all the modern comforts. The innkeeper, Bill, was welcoming, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The location was ideal for our trip—a short drive to downtown Freeport and a perfect home base for visiting relatives in Gray and attending the airshow in Brunswick. Tucked away from the main roads, the inn offered a peaceful, quiet setting that made it easy to relax after a busy day. We would happily stay here again.
